They are serious about food at this Oaxacan/Mexican restaurant. Dont let the shopping center location fool you. Chicken-mole tamales come wrapped in banana leaves. Their mole tastes balanced, not overly rich. Their grilled chicken tacos have a perfect touch of garlic. A simple cheese enchilada with fresh salsa verde couldnt be better. The owner is there constantly, making sure everything meets his standards. They serve tequila, margaritas, beer, and wine. I gotta say, you could do a lot worse dining in Healdsburg, including some of the famous restaurants.

My brother and I had a great experience and this Mexican restaurant. I had the al pastor nachos and my brother had the asada torta. Both great dishes, desert was expensive at $5 a churro specially when in Los Angeles you get them at $1 a churro. Will definitely come back again. Ask for Lorena, she will definitely give good service and make sure your happy even on a busy night. Thank you

Fab selection of premium tequilas, and the food just gets better and better :) Love the handmade tortillas! Service ranges from 1-3 stars depending on whos serving. It can get really loud, with all tile & no sound muffling textiles or upholstery, so isnt great for quiet romantic dinners or groups who want to hear each other around the table.

Great Restaurant! The service is superb and the food is a beautiful and very flavorful! The presentation on each plate was mouth watering! This is a family owned and operated restaurant, and props go to this family! Their attention to detail is what will keep their customers coming back, I know I will be back again!

This is authentic Oaxacan cuisine at its best. The mole is second to none and the waitstaff is knowledgeable and friendly. A first-class offering of tequilas and mezcals are also on the menu. I had the chicken tamales in mole sauce that were wrapped in banana leaves and they were fabulous.

Delicious food, excellent service in a warm friendly environment. The difference in taste of each cuisines choices must be tried. Well deserve of 4.5 stars overal. Um on tamales, oh boy on the chilies rellenos. Marlene is a great server, and very friendly, as well as the rest of staff.

Just wonderful from the food to the staff!!! Cant say enough good things!!! Everything we have tried is excellent!!! Celebrated two Birthday at this restaurant for family members!!! They made everything extra special for the Birthday celebrations. Thank You!!!!

I did not like the salsa so i did not want to order cuz i put the salsa all over my Mexican dish. They charged us $4 to walk out after just tasting the salsa and barley sipping my water and my husbands fountain soda. Rip off and bad flavors.

Agave is an interesting restaurant. There is occasionally live music. There is a nice outdoor seating area and a decent sized indoor one. The mole is amazing. (It is homemade).

The restaurant was crowded and there was a wait for a table. This reason why? This place has excellent Mexican food at reasonable prices. I recommend the Molcajete meal.

Lousy, super sweet margarita and so so food except great chili relleno. We ordered the platter for two and were both disappointed. The staff was friendly and nice.
