You know, Ive always driven past this place and thought how delicious a "sushi buffet" would be. And so, I finally decided to eat lunch here with the boyfriend. It was quite confusing trying to find parking because Ive never been around this neighborhood. The street was very busy and seemed really hectic. We ended up parking in the movie theatres parking lot and walked. First things first, its like 16.99 for a person around lunch/dinner time. Seems like the norm for buffets. When I walked in, the workers were friendly and greeted us well. The buffet had a nice big window with a view over the busy street so it must be nice around night time. But as I looked at the buffet overall I was greatly disappointed. It was actually quite small, and wasnt some amazing fancy sushi buffet at all. It was a normal Chinese buffet with stale desserts and some sushi. It was every other buffet, not a specialty SUSHI BUFFET. It had its typical chow mein, fried rice, potstickers, etc. stall and another stall for seafood. Everything tasted merely "okay". Also, the "frozen yogurt" machine ran out of vanilla and only had chocolate. But that didnt matter anyways because their "froyo" tasted like water. If you looked around more you would find much better buffets with amazing food including sushi. Dont expect to have the most amazing sushi here, you wont. Im only giving two stars for the nice workers and the bus boy and manager who were seeking tables like hawks for empty dishes and promptly removed them.

" You will be successful in everything you do" was the message I got from a fortune cookie paper in in my drink . Yes in my drink. Not my fortune cookie. That told me, they were not hygienic at all in their kitchen. if they are not careful with my utensils, they are not careful with my food that was that came to my mind. it is not cheap. I paid 50 dollars for 2 people for dinner and a couple of drinks. I do not know where the other positive reviewers comments come that they are cheap. Totally wrong. when i brought it to the waiters attentions all he said "i will change it". My food did not taste the same afterwards, when they brought the bill. it said on it 50 dollars and that I should leave over 8 dollars on tip. Yeah right!!! I kindly told the waiter that i was not very contempt that if the manager can give me a discount for their lack of hygiene. he came back with a new bill where the manager deducted the soda $1.85. hahahhaha I laughed. and thought Really? I grabbed my bill and went to pay. the manager approached me and said "everything ok?" and quickly responded NO" there was a paper in my drink. and he said "I dont know what happened I am going to fire the guy this is the 3rd time" I thought the 3rd time?? I am not coming back here anymore" I was disappointed. I did not leave a TIP. Not coming back here anymore. Not happy client. Good luck with your fortune messages in your Pepsi drinks

EAT ... eat more, then have another plate, and sushi, and dessert !!! i like to eat a lot sometimes, and a good chinese food buffet is exactly what i look for; this one comes attached with a nice sushi bar, and the overall selection/offerings is very complete ;) the food is all well prepared, sometimes favorites run out, but a new batch quickly comes out ... its more than anything a reflection of the good food prepared here. i get a first plate with noodles, and lots of seafood items ... basically most things seafood ;) round two is chicken delight ... rice bed, with chicken everything they offer, i like the walnut chicken, but spicy chicken always has me coming back for more. finish wish a sushi plate, and salad ... they have a nice salad bar, with enough selection to leave me happy. dessert ... always, and now its time for a nap, because i am stuffed !!! price is about $20 ... id like to see $15, but its like i ate three meals so i kind of understand ;)

Went at lunch on a weekday with my mom who sampled all the seafood and rolls and declared them good. I generally try to avoid buffets like the plague and I dont eat seafood, so these are my biases that you can take into account. The chicken teriyaki was diced as opposed to the skin-on cutlet style that IMHO is more authentic. The tray labelled pork had sesame balls in it. the chicken with mushrooms and the chicken with broccoli were fine, although the steamed rice had some dried crusty bits in it that wanted to crack my teeth. For dessert, the fruit selection was fine. The cream puff outsides were _not_ soggy but the "cream" might have been more cool whip than pastry cream. The soft serve also seemed to lack the expected amount of dairy.

Opravdu velká nabídka za jednotnou cenu ve stylu sněz co chceš. Nicméně pozor na rozdílné "vstupné" - např. večerní může obsahovat více druhů jídla a bude také o něco dražší. Jde barový styl bufetové samoobsluhy, kde najdete hlavně sushi, mořské plody, ovoce a zeleninu, zákusky. Pití se platí extra. Parkovat lze poblíž v patrové garáži.

I used to love Kyoko! I swear! Still have a soft spot for this joint, but hopefully my review encourages the staff and ownership to up he qualify. I know its tough to maintain high quality at a buffet place especially once youve gotta as popular as Kyoko, but the main thing that urks me is the cleanliness. It just doesnt feel clean. From the floors to the tables to the chairs (that were mysteriously wet upon arrival...). Prices are now up to $17.99 per person for dinner, which isnt horrible for a regular buffet, but meh. I hope they get cleaner soon! OH, I love how its up 3 flight of stairs though! It allows you to walk off the food when youre done - dont take the elevator and cheat ;)

The worst sushi Ive had in my life. The worst buffet Ive ever been to. At first I tried to post through the sushi think I just grabbed a bad roll but each was wrist them the last. For the first time ever I couldnt bring myself to eat the rest of what was on my plate. Trying to move past the revolting sushi didnt help much either. The crab legs were of a color wed never seen and some of them didnt even had meat inside. The food in general all seemed to be of a lower quality as well. Im not sure any of it was fit to be deemed edible. Definitely not worth the trip or cash.

we always try to go to Kokyo whenever were in Hayward. Their buffet selection is so varied its hard to choose. A vegetarian can go in and not have any problems having a good lunch or dinner. the price is very reasonable for all you can eat. the restaurant is very popular and dinner times are always full and seating is at a premium. It is also a clean establishment. there is ample free parking behind or across the street. and if you feel like a brew afterwards, if youre not too full, there is Buffalo Bills Brewery, Bar and Grill right across the street.
