It seemed like a nice atmosphere when you first walk in but was not very inviting or welcoming once you started interacting with the unfriendly staff. Customer service was more of a chore for them. The personality of the waitress was blah. The Hispanic guy must have been the bus boy and did a sloppy job cleaning tables. Spilled water on the floor from the glasses he removed from the table - a slip-and-fall waiting to happen. We were lucky the young boy asked if we would like more water. Prices are high for the way they serve their food. The chicken parmesan was tasteless with soggy noodles, grilled chicken and plain spaghetti sauce. Definitely not worth $14.95. I do have to say that the homemade chicken noodle soup was good and cost extra. The rib eye steak was really chuck steak. Hard to cut and chew. This was not a very inviting place for tourists to stop. Blah food, blah atmosphere. Does not represent Yosemite well.

This place really sucks. Food is terrible, service was even worse. I went there with my parents. After we sat down, no one came to ask if we want to order or anything to drink. They let us sitting there for almost 20 minutes before someone come to ask what we would like to order. After we ordered, we waited 50 minutes, nothing showed up. Many other people (all local white people) came after us already got their food. I asked the waiter to check and she told me she forgot to place order. I dont believe her words. It looks like this is a racist place and these people delayed my order on purpose. Probably because we were the only Asian people in the restaurant? Ridiculous.

This restaurant has the worst food ever. Its "D" rated Cisco crap, number one, and number two, cooking it seems to be a huge challenge for the staff. The manager is horrible. The waitresses are horrible. How this place is even open is beyond my comprehension. The people that give this place 4 or 5 star ratings are either insane, or from a country so poor they think that this passes for excellent cuisine. It doesnt. As a matter of fact Ive never seen even a coyote near the dumpster. Thats how bad it is. Better to eat wild blackberries and starve than to ever eat at Buck Meadows.

Food was alright. Our waiter on the other hand was awful. After we were seated we waited for 10 minutes before meeting our waiter for the first time. Only thing she said was what do we want. After placing an order, we didnt see her again. Luckily a bus boy brought us water and later refilled it too. The waiter had only 3 tables to wait on and yet made no appearance at our table until it was time for the bill. Even then she didnt bother acting nice much. Just dumped it off. I would have instantly left had this not been the only restaurant in town.

Where to begin?!?!? Buck meadows is home to one of the most phenonemal creations known to man: the breakfast burger. A burger with eggs, bacon and hashbrowns? Get out of town!!! Is it more magnificent than Yosemite Valley itself? Thats for you to decide. Also great to drink non-iodine infused water. Sweet potato fries had me going cray cray and had my tablemates scrambling to upgrade their orders. Yosemite must sees: El Cap, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, Buck Meadows restaurant. This place is a godsend.

if youve just been camping in yosemite, GO HERE! This place hits the spot. The burger was a heart attack in a bun (bacon, cheese, grease, etc..) and its the perfect post-camping food. Service was incredibly fast. The best part is that its one of the few places thats stays open late. Disclaimer: not sure how good the food really is, itd only recommend after a camping trip when you are hankering for the unhealthiest meal you can buy. Oh and this place is cheap. what more can you ask for?

This is the closest restaurant to the Yosemite Park Entrance and a perfect spot for a late night meal on the way home, at 9:45pm Sunday night right before their kitchen closed. I got a ginormous chalice of Sierra Nevada for $3.75 (fortunately my driving stretch was over for the night!) and a 49er burger (bacon, guac, and about 12 other things) for $10. It hit the spot. The staff was very friendly and service was fast. +1 to Buckmeadows.

If youre looking for traditional American food then this is it. An hour and a half from Yosemite Valley they serve big portions at a reasonable price. Not the healthiest fare but we could get vegetarian food. It was all quite tasty and we ate three times here, twice for dinner and once for breakfast. Wait staff was friendly and there was a little delay at breakfast but nothing really notable.

We first came for breakfast. It was delicious with all that I expect from an American breakfast (eggs, pancakes, fruit juice, ...). Then, we came for dinner. The place was crowded and it is easy to understand why. Thats true that there are not so many options around there, but still, this place would stand easily against competitors: we really had a nice dinner. Staff was very nice too.

We had dinner tonight at Buck Meadow. There were only 2 other people in the restaurant. It took the waitress 20 minutes to bring a menu. The food was okay, but the waitress never came back to ask if we needed anything and it took another 15 minutes to get a check when we finished the meal. We are local and well never go back.

Outside of the park but not a bad drive. room clean and reception staff friendly. The cafe just a short walk from the lodge was very good but does get busy so we sat at the bar and got served really fast and had a much needed Ice cold Sierra Nevada Pale Ale before my meal. They do take outs and the sandwiches are good value.

Nothing special and doesnt pretend to be, and there is not a thing wrong with that. Food is decent down home cooking, service is great for a place like this one, and prices are cheap. Theyre open late and they are pretty much the only show in town. If youre hungry after a long day hiking, its hard to complain.

We went to the restaurant for breakfast last week as it was recommended by the Inn next door. We waited over an hour and there was still no sign of our food, so we left, followed by quite a few others who had been waiting. The waitress did not know the order of the food orders and just shrugged her shoulders.

We staid in the Lodge for one night and had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. The food was great, the steaks were HUGE and the best steaks we had in the US so far. Plus super friendly staff. Too bad its 6500 miles from home, otherwise wed come here all the time for sure!

Absolutely delicious I dont know where all the negative reviews are coming from. The meat was fresh and local the fries were made fresh in the back the staff was extremely friendly and nice to talk to. I highly suggest coming here if youre in the area.
