food is decent. i only come for the buffet once in a while because its fun. i wish their shahi paneer was better. most indian restaurants have way better shahi paneer. i can even make better shahi paneer then what they serve. the buffet is fun tho and price is ok. edit: i ate here today and have decided to change me review from 2-3 stars to 4 stars. the shahi paneer was better than previously. i still think it could be a bit better but it was good and they deserve credit for it. they also had a nice sag masala (spinach curry) which was delightful. if their shahi paneer is as good as it was today next time i eat, or better hopefully (i can still make a better shahi paneer) i might just give them 5 stars and tell all my family to give them 5 stars as well. theres like ten of us that eat here.

I have dined at Indian Oven and enjoyed the experience thoroughly. The food was mouthwatering, prepared in the traditional way we love and not overdone or oily! The service was welcoming and the ambience very relaxed - I enjoyed it very much. Grass Valley Indian Oven have also catered for a community function for over 200 people and there were compliments all round! I look forward to my next visit!!!

I have been coming to India Oven since their Grass Valley location opened. I love the food, and the owner is amazing! She is personable, attentive and very concienscious of her customers. She takes fantastic care of every one who sits down.

this place is awesome!! Great food, relaxed but friendly service. The mango lhassi was supergood, not to sweet. You cant beat the buffet. The selection isnt that large, only 9 hot items plus rice and naan, but everything is deliciously!

Ended up in India Oven Grass valley last weekend as it came highly recommended by one of my close friends with my partner and my mother in law. Place was packed so it was a good sign. We were greeted graciously and seated promptly.

A mix of northern and southern Indian cuisine. Website says 40 item lunch buffet, i counted 12. Marsala and curry may be mislabeled they tasted the same. Comfortable environment. Home cooking for those who grew up on this.

The only Indian restaurant that I can think of in our area. Its not like youd find in the Bay Areas rich/diverse Indian restaurants, but its pretty good.
