We read the reviews and were expecting a really dirty hole in the wall. We were PLEASANTLY surprised to find the ambience festive, but not so noisy that we couldnt have some privacy at our table. The servers were friendly, efficient, and helpful and the high ceiling helped make the restaurant seem bigger. The food was EXCELLENT. Starting with the home-made salsa (not watery, but just the right heat index) and chips (not salty, thank you), we were very pleased. The Chicken burrito (with yummy gravy), chicken enchilada, and chicken quesadilla were all terrific. We really liked the refried beans and homemade tortillas (both flour and corn). Already, we are planning to go back to this restaurant at night--we were there for lunch and understand that the tortilla chef at night has a different recipe (we want to sample both). No complaints here.

The lunch I ordered took about 25 minutes to get to my table. Keep in mind there were only about two other tables with customers. My meal was very salty and on top of that, the salsa was cold and gross! Customer service was horrible! I asked for a refill and she left the pitcher there so she didnt have to walk back. As I ate with my family I was being staired at. I noticed and smiled and began to eat and each time I looked up I was being staired at. As I proceeded to checkout I asked why my payment was so high when the menu said only so much and she snapped back with "because you ordered a soda!". I paid with my card and she slammed down the pen and said sign. I wont be coming back.

Very nice staff. Huge portions. Great flavor. Home made thick flour tortillas like my mother and grandnother made. Small old building but worrth going to for the best enchiladas smothered with chili gravy. Huge chili rellenos. If you want a great variety order the number one all meat dinner and take home left overs. My favorites so far has been both the chili colorado made with tender beef smothered in chili gravy and the chili verde in green sauce. Five Stars for the best food and nice friendly staff.

The wait staff are always polite and quick. The salsa and chips are good. The food tends to fluctuate between damn this is great to bleh this is kind of bland. My dad and I have realized flavor is based on how busy they are. If you go around a holiday or event they have so much traffic coming through the food doesnt have time to gain flavor. If you go during a mid week or in-between lunch and dinner the food is great.

I love it. This food is so great. However, my husband wont go back because its kinda dingy and the bathroom is worse than my husbands cement bathroom in Mexico. I love the food but i only love it fresh at the restaurant. I have to go w/o my husband and sneak there lol. My brothers are the same way. But at least my husband cant deny the food is great.

Went for the first time in a really long time yesterday, and food tasted flavorless. Which is strange, because their food used to be good. The smell of the place smelled off and threw off my appetite. And was seriously overcharged on the bill. Probably will never be back. Next time I want some real authentic food in Stockton, Ill be going to Nenas.

We have been going to xochimillicos forever. The quality of the food has decreased rapidly. Its way too greasy and last time was the last. I guess we needed that severe food poisoning to finally quit. After more than 40 years were done. Weve raised our kids and grandkids and taken friends and relatives but have never been that sick.

I have been coming to this restaurant since I was a child. I loveeeee the food and staff . It dosent look like a upscale restaurant its authentic, very home like environment which I love. Wonderful opportunity to bring my children to a place I hold very dear to my heart so many awesome memories I can pass onto them.

I went there its good but for the least few times I went the food wasnt good no more when the give us the food my man beans was lol burt but they gave us a fresh new beans not burt they just need ppl that know know how to cook good ten I be okay I still go tho its my spot lil bit now!!

Fast service, clean restaurant. Chips are NOT 100% Corn as a member in our party can not eat gluten,l. Chilli rellanos are literally all egg batter with a very small and long pepper in the middle. While they did offer to let us reorder, it left me no desire to try another dish.

I had a delicious lunch! The portions were generous and the service was excellent (I drink a *lot* of water, and they stayed on top of filling my glass). My only complaint is that, when paying via credit card, there was no option for me to put the tip on the card.

Friendly staff, went in on a dead monday afternoon. Ill definately go back. It looks like it could be very dark inside during the evening. Food was quite good. Super hearty portions! As everyone else says: their rice and refried beans are really good.

Long as Ive been in Stockton this restaurant has by far surpassed all of the other ones is excellent and authentic food is reasonably priced it is one of the last good things to come out of downtown Stockton it is definitely worth a visit

My favorite in Stockton. Foods excellent, service is always great, and portions that will make a grown man take some home for a meal later(order extra tortillas for that!). Dont forget the GRAVY to sop up with your handmade tortillas.

Any self-respecting person who values their digestive health, or is in search of authentic Mexican food will stay away from here. Worst place Ive ever eaten at, literally anywhere else is better. Ive had a stomach ache for a week!

Been coming here forever. Like any other place they have their days where the beans arent right or something is to salty. But its my go to place when I want a big plate of good food. Waitresses always friendly and welcoming.

The chicken taco dinner was extremely dry and greezy as they fry the taco flour tortilla. The service was all of niña we had to just ask other waitresses for salt cuz ours was nonexsistent after taking the initial order.

The food here is great. And you get a lot of food. They are the best when they come to customer service. I forgot to say no Chile in my food and I said it was to spicy for me they made me another burrito.
