My friends, family, and I have LOVED La Casita since our days at Irvington High School during the late 70s to mid 80s. I moved to Seattle and others moved away from Fremont also, but last summer ((June 2015) several of us returned for a great mini-reunion. The food was delicious and the staff were very kind. We had such a good time, in fact, that we decided to have another Class Reunion this coming Saturday, March 12, 2016 and also celebrate the birthday of Classmate Renata Ortloff (80) at the same time. We are all looking forward to another evening of great food, atmosphere, and fun at La Casita!!

Every time I go to Massimos, and I admit, its been a number, I feel like I am stepping back in time on the set of Quincy or Columbo TV show with the big booths, white linens and darker ambiance. It feels more at home in the 60s, early 70s than something now. Putting that to the side, the food is very good ! Great steaks, pastas, salads and seafood. The meals tend to be saucy and on the heavy side - do not go here if you are on a calorie reduced diet ! Service is very good as the staff has little turn over generally and go out of their way for you to have a good experience.

We tried Kebab Shop when it first opened. We were looking for something quick and the places nearby were too crowded. The food is Turkish, but it will be instantly recognizeable to anyone who has experienced Mediterranean cuisine. It was excellent, with a surprisingly wide selection. Weve been back a number of times and its alway been very tasty.

Recently relocating to the area from the midwest lm unlikley the best individual or authority to compare and rate the food, but It was very good to me. What really sets the buisness apart is the staff. Extremely pleasant & attentive. I would go back for down to earth employees & patrons alone, even if the food was average, which it was not.

This place has been here forever! The food is excellent and it can get crowded (usually locals). The atmosphere needs updating. I dont think its changed, ever. It almost feels dirty (the only reason I have it 4 stars). Its passed all inspections though so dont let the looks of the place put you off, the food is excellent!

La Casita is the best mexican food in the east and south bay! I have eaten at every mexican place in both and I drive all the way from Sunnyvale in TRAFFIC because it is SOO good! The Enchiladas, carnitas, chile colorado (is soooo freakn good), and the huevos rancheros is amazing......I highly recommend this place!

Been going here for years. Always been one of my favorite places to eat. Unfortunately the last couple of times I went including today service was real slow. Food was still good, but ice tea was terrible and Michelada was small and did not taste right at all. Salsa was watered down, no flavor.

The fried Sheep cheese with the special green peppers (seasonal peppers) is to die for, as are the Gigante beans and good zukini cakes. Great place for a vegetarian like me. Awesome ambience, a bit on the expensive side. Great place to celebrate or when one feels like splurging a bit.

Food was amazing delicious. Entrance was a bit odd. There was nowhere to stand and was hard to tell what to do since entrance dumps right into prep area. Feels family run and comfortable place to eat once seated. Murals on the wall were cool atmosphere.

Love this mexican resturaunt! The food is great. I had the shrimp fajitas for the second time in three weeks and it was just as good as the first time. I have been to this resturaunt many times before and I have never been disapointed.

Awesome and authentic dishes! Wait staff can be a bit "no soup for you" style of interaction -- bring your appetite for the grande portions, and your sense of humor for or the atmosphere! Restrooms can be a bit on the dirty side.

I had a business dinner here with a dozen people. We enjoyed the private dining room. Great steaks plus a few good seafood dishes. Good wine selection. Service was a bit slow but the food and ambiance was very good for business.

Ate here twice. Great enchiladas. Nice salsa - but mild. If you want hotter sauce, ask. Service is polite, personal & fast. The prices are not expensive. A nice neighborhood Mexican place. Some good vegetarian options.

The food was ok..... service was overall good....i had steak fajitas and the flavor of the steak was bland... will go there one more time to try something different.... also the salsa is just ok.... very watery salsa.

Food was good however, my debut card was cloned . I was there 9/18 on Friday afternoon for lunch with my daughter. The server took alot of time with my transaction. Bank notified 10/1 that my card was compromise.

Great customer service. Great food, feels good on my body after eating also. No wonder they have been in business for so long. This is where I go when I want good food and didnt get a chance to cook myself :-)

Very "local" feeling. I sat at the bar not particularly welcoming. The salsa was good. The chicken super burrito was lacking much flavor. Probably best left to the locals. Sorry La Casita.

My go to local Mexican restaurant when I dont want to drive all the way to Alviso for Maria Elenas. Great burritos and enchiladas and can usually be in and out within a lunch hour.

If you are looking for cutting edge cuisine, Massimos is not for you. They serve tradional, mostly Northern Italian food. Always nicely done. The setting is also traditional.

Decent Mexican food. Not familiar enough with the area to know whats better or worse. Its your standard fare though. Would come back to eat again though. Good service.

The food was well made and they serve large portions as well. Parking was out of the way, just be sure to watch the signs for private businesses before you get towed!

Have been coming here for the past 25 years. The service is good and the food is solid. Their chicken and rice soup, chorizo bean dip, and albondigas are to die for.

I used to frequent here in my youth. Call it 15-20 years ago. It is no longer the great Mexican food I remember. I would skip it and look for El Patio.

The food there was bad. The beans are canned. It is too expensive. You should go to the store and cook the food yourself(it is cheaper)
