I decided to place an online catering order for this location. My party was 12/23/2016 at 400 pm and my order was scheduled to be ready for pick up at 12 noon on 12/23/2016. I called to let the restaurant know I was on my way around 1 pm but low and behold they had no record of a catering order from me. I provided them with my order confirmation number and they still couldnt find it. Needless to say it wasnt ready. The gentleman on the phone asked me if I could them one hour and they would have my 2/48 piece meals ready for pick up. Being in the holiday spirit and knowing sometimes Things happen I said yes. I went to the mall to pick up a few last minute prizes and gifts while waiting for the one hour window to go by. Around 3:11 pm I realized I had a missed call from the restaurant and when I called back it was busy. Well it most likely meant my order was ready since we spoke around 1:20 pm that afternoon. I quickly drove over and low and behold my order was still not ready. So I angrily waited an additional 45 minutes for them to figure my order out. Needless to say I left that restaurant about 4:30 pm, late for my own holiday party. In the meantime I witnessed several dine in customers request their money back for simple things the staff could not figure out. I mean they were giving people wrong orders, and when the staff tried to fix it then it would take them over 20 minutes to get it right. One lady asked 4 people could she simply purchase a gift card for one reason or another she kept getting passed over and no one would do it for one reason or another. CMON you guys are making grilled chicken combos, its not stem cell research. The job cant be this hard and customer should always leave happy when it comes to food and customer service. This restaurant definitely has some serious issues with staffing and a serious lack of management . and I will never place an catering order with this location ever again. I place CATERING orders all the time for my company and I wont use this restaurant or this particular location ever again.

Folsom has become the best El Pollo Loco Ive visited. I fell in love with EPL when I lived in Southern Cal any years ago, so I was thrilled when they opened in Folsom. If you ever had a experience, try it again. Once Dave arrived as the new manager, the place turned around quickly. Now that Dave has been there a while, the entire team he is building is exceptional. Every experience since his arrival has been great, even on his days off, because of the well trained team. My favorite is the Original Pollo Bowl. Great portion of fire grilled chicken with rice, beans and pico. I add their avocado salsa and chopped tomatoes for a little kick, and it is unbelievably tasty, even without the benefit of sour cream or cheese, so I feel like it is much healthier than most mexican food. Occasionally, I go with the double chicken bowl, or avocado burrito. They are all exceptional. My friend typically orders the 2 piece chicken meal and always raves about it.

For the second time in a row the kid at the reg couldnt get the order right after taking over 5 mins and having to ring up twice cause he had to add an extra taco. Never got the taco so asked the guy who didnt even take my order said"you didnt order a taco" I said excuse me I just had to order it twice and he tells me " no you thought you ordered"... I flipped and then charged me after waiting over ten mins in an empty restaurant. Then after explaining to the manager who asked whats wrong he does nothing! I will never step foot again. I dont understand how this place is still in business. Got home to see this poor excuse for the saltiest chicken I have ever had in my life. I wouldnt feed it to my dogs.

They dont do separate orders at the drive thru they told me I either pay for everything on one bill or go back around the drive thru for the other order or I have to go into the restaurant, which I think is very stupid my coworker has a bad knee and was in a knee brace so we didnt want to go into the restaurant. To make matters worst I ordered a 2 piece chicken combo meal and got a sorry excuse for a breast and wing, Im definitely not impressed.

Stood in line with 2 people in front of me for 7 min watching the manager poke chicken and try not to make eye contact with anybody in line. All while the untrained unhelped kid takes one order. Several people walked out. When I decided to walk I told the manager he has more people walking out then he has money going in the till. He replied "so, what can I do about it and went back to poking chicken

Terrible - something went very wrong today - almost every customer experienced issues with their orders, orders were very late or forgotten, and as I write this a shortage of breasts is now delayed my meal by 25 minutes and still waiting.....now its been over 30 min receipt attached showing 12:57pm it is now 1:26pm - probably seriously understaffed given the hiring signs outside.

Sometimes really good, sometimes really bad, but I have to rate it so low because their hours are inconsistent lies. No, you are not open until 1030, ever. Dont lie like that. You lie here and on your own stores sticker. And tonight (12/28/2016) I went by at 945 and you were closed. The bedrock of fast food is dependability. Be dependable.

Ive given this place several tries in hopes that they would get it together but every time it gets worse. My food took 20 mins. It was cold. They are hugely understaffed and under stocked. At noon on a Tuesday I expect quick service to be just that. Next time my child wants Mac n cheese well go to Jacks.

I will give one star for this Folsom Pollo Loco location either chicken are burned miss order..order a chicken mix they give you leg & thigh. if they could only give a consideration of how we customer earn our every penny and this is what we got.

We drove here from Cameron Park & their doors were LOCKED at 7:57 pm tonite! The employees were still inside & this website says open till 10:30 pm.....heading for the one in Rancho Cordova as its always open till 10:00 pm.

The mac and cheese were dry out no chicken in chicken bowl. And I eat at all the el Pollo Locos the chicken was dry out also if I was closer I would take it all back your help is just their playing

Just went in Lola the Assitant manager was very sweet and helpful.Had a great smile.She displayed awsome customer service. I will for sure come back to this location.keep up the good work.
