LOVE the Mel-O-Dee. Favorite karaoke joint on the planet (and Ive sung karaoke on 4 continents). A broad cross-section of humanity frequents this place...from lonely divorcees to trendy hipsters. They come for the cheap drinks. They come for the fun, divey, 70s-velour-wallpaper atmosphere. They come because they love to sing and dance with reckless abandon in front of a cheering crowd. And if I ever find the short, cute tattoed girl that stole my heart with her rendition of "I Love Rock and Roll", I just might marry her.

My friend had a birthday celebration at Melodees last year , and it was such a beautiful experience that I just had to keep coming back! The crowd is diverse, friendly, and respectful. Have been to other karaoke places, and this is by far one of the better ones. I now bring different sets of friends every week, and have also made new friends with the other regulars. Great place!

Been coming here about 4 years. Friendly staff, friendly customers. Great selection of karaoke songs .Karaoke Wednesday thru Saturday night with Friday and Saturday karaoke queue getting long early. So come early and sing your heart out. Great place to watch all local sports teams.

I dont go here often, but my wife loves it. If you are a fan of dive bars that have not become ironic, this unassuming alley door on the far side of a strip mall is the perfect place. Also, they have a strange following of very talented karaoke singers who come on Saturday nights.

First came here 37 years ago (OMG). Not the cop bar it used to be. But the drinks are still good. The karaoke nights are funny...you know a few good singers and a few awful ones. Can get crowded but its still a great hangout.

Dive bar with free karaoke. Whats not to love about that? The drinks are cheap and people are friendly. You should get in early if youre trying to sing because the queue gets long quickly.
