TL;DR - Great food. Clean restaurant. Adequate service. Ample parking. Will return again! Detailed review - We arrived around 7pm on a Saturday and were seated only after a 5-minute wait. I think we just beat the crowd, as the line grew pretty quickly after we sat down. Whew! The restaurant itself is clean with updated decor. They offer a good variety of menu items, including vegetarian options. The two of us ordered a seafood pancake, kimchi tofu stew (mild spicy), and galbi soup. The seafood pancake was thicker than some other ones I have had elsewhere. That said, it wasnt mushy; it was crispy on the edge and soft in the middle with plentiful seafood (read: big shrimps!). However, I think it could be a tad more flavorful though my boyfriend thought it was just right. The kimchi tofu soup was delicious and loaded with enoki and zucchini. Mild spiciness was more spicy than I expected. Could have been considered as medium in some other places. But it was still enjoyable. My boyfriend liked his galbi soup but wished they had given a little more meat. One disappointment that we both felt was surprisingly the rice. They added too much water when cooking, and it turned out too wet and gooey. It was probably just a one-off thing, so not a deal breaker for us especially since the rest of the meal was great for the most part. Plus, parking was easy with a private lot shared with some other businesses in the plaza. Will definitely return. Looking forward to trying their cold noodles during the summer! Note: Strollers are NOT allowed inside the restaurant.

Besides serving the usual Korean BBQ /Tofu Stew restaurant tables (galbi, bulgogi, bibimbap, japchae, variety of tofu stews, seafood pancake, etc.), Go Goong also serves an extensive soup menu, including bone soups, which I have never seen in SF Bay Area Korean restaurants. We tried Spicy Pork Bone Soup for 2 (GAM JA TANG 감자탕) and asked for medium spicy. Its brought to the table and cooked in front of you on an electric burner. The soup was lacking any "spice," no heat at all and the pork bone broth itself was neither rich tasting nor a deeply flavored, milky stew base. What bones that were in the soup, none of the attached meat was super tender nor the meat fell-off-the bones. While a couple of the waiters/waitresses came over as soon as we sat down to take our order, as soon as we were serve. No one came back to check on us. We had to wave one of the waiters to serve us a second serving of banchan. Again, the kimchi was kinda bland, not much flavor or spice in any of the small dishes. Was told "no strollers" are allowed in the restaurant. Its okay to put your baby in his car seat on top of a dining chair. The place is large and has plenty of space, but most diners order some kind of soup, which includes having a portable electric burner on most tables (we ate dinner here in early March) that gives off a lot of hot steam /smoke. Safety issue with having strollers in the restaurant vs having the car seat on a chair next to table with a hot electric burner being used, who knows?

Servers were nice. I asked for hot tea. I was told it was only served in the winter months. I ordered a Short Rib Bibimbap bowl for 17.99. I received my sides first as is typical at a Korean restaurant. They were fine. The Bibimbap bowl literally only came with two small short ribs. One was about an inch wide and the other a half inch. I would say it equaled about three or four bites of short ribs. No joke. I asked the waitress if I could just order a side or short ribs since it came with so few. She said the only option was to place the full order which is like 28.99. I ordered a side of beef pot stickers to supplement my meal. Unfortunately, they were not very flavorful. I was hoping this place would be good. But, it seems the focus is on cutting costs instead of quality. I, personally would be willing to pay a little more for better quality.

I ordered beef rib dinner in sizzling bowl. Only got two small pieces, one of them is nothing but bone and fat! Very disappointed! The least they can do is to make sure the meat pieces are substantial since there are only two!

Great friendly service and a fantastic selection of traditional Korean soups. BBQ is done in the kitchen so if youre looking for table top KBBQ you wont find it here. However the food is great and well worth exploring.

Good Korean food in a suburban strip mall. Nice decor, good service. The food is authentic and quite tasty. Good portion. Not spectacular but quite sufficient if you crave some typical Korean dishes.

Truly a gem in the area. Every dish Ive ordered so far has been well prepared. Its rare to find a place with a wide range of offerings on its menu to excel on every dish. Love this place!

Food is pretty busy and service decent. Lots of space between the tables which is nice for privacy but they could probably reconfigure and for at least 2 or 3 more in.

Busy at times, good food, prices are a little high for hanshik. The young servers are nice and good looking. Takes time to get served.

Clean and decent Korean food. One feedback would be the Galbi tang. The beef was more on the fatty side and wish they gave more meat.
