Review based solely on the dumplings here, hence their name. Their other dishes may still be very good. Im a little reluctant to say that I found House of Dumplings to be a very average restaurant. The options for dumplings are average, the flavor of the dumplings are average, the prices are average... You get the point. We ordered "Three flavors dumplings," "Pork and chives dumplings", and some XLB. None of these dishes really stood out to me and Im convinced I can make equivalent or better at home from scratch (again, very average.) The meat lacked flavor for all three and the texture of it was a liiitttle off, personally. The XLB was especially disappointing because they were dry and the wrapping was thick and tough to eat, thus taking away what little flavors the meat inside had. They were also not very juicy either. I suspect the problem is simply that they were steamed a little too long. I think that House of Dumplings could definitely benefit if they had a signature sauce for their dumplings. Dont get me wrong, I enjoy making my dumpling sauce with the chili paste and soy sauce... But it doesnt hurt to have a delicious default sauce as an option. Service was very friendly and genuine, which made the visit overall a happy experience. I did think it was a little strange that they greeted us in mandarin when we first walked in. My bf doesnt understand Chinese so I did all the talking in the restaurant haha. Bottom line, would go again if I want dumplings and I am too lazy to make some... Also because I dont know of a better dumpling place nearby.

The food here is simple and very tasty. The chef maintains a really high level of quality and follows up with warm & personable service. I had a bowl of Mustard Green soup that was clear as consomme and just as delicious. Simple. Weve never had any problems with the place, but the size of the dining room is disappointing. That this establishment also shares a parking lot with a liquor store is a little off-putting. But all of that may be overlooked for the food. I must insist that you try something new here. I had pigs ears on a dare and now I dont hesitate. The sauteed bok choi is equally delicious if not as adventurous. All of the dumplings are delicious but be careful to ask about the size of each because they can be a little overwhelming. I have to stop because lunchtime is closer to me that this place is right now so......I wonder if the machine upstairs has any ramen..... :-/

Friendly neighborhood restaurant; excellent northern-style Chinese food. Top recommendations are hand-made dumplings from their pretty wide selection (my favorite is chicken and corn), fruit flavored crispy chicken wings. Also great cold dishes: spicy numbing tendons and cucumber with boiled peanuts. Many appetizers and cold dishes are illustrated on the wall with photos, which is helpful if youre never had this type of food before. Nice wait staff. Feel free to ask them for recommendations you need help ordering. The owner is really nice and she knows many of her customers.

The name says it all go there get Dumplings and get out, thats the only thing they do the way it should be done. Other than that its a typical asian joint rude staff, less inclined towards cleanliness, cash for less than 15$ etc. So again stick to the basics and you will be fine and ya dont get tempted by looking at other customers plate and order something, u will be disappointed. The 4 stars are purely just for dumplings.

Its a tiny hole in the wall with about eight tables. But its dim sum ranges from good to excellent. We tried three things. Our waitress warned us that the spicy chicken wings werent spicy... Her warning was accurate. Less spicy than American spicy chicken wings, but otherwise better than any chain. The soup dumplings were excellent: salty broth inside pasta. Only the pork buns didnt thrill me. Highly recommended.

I had asked for a plate of vegetarian dumpling and chicken dumpling. Chicken dumpling tasted just fine. Although it was not too late, the vegetarian dumpling was already over. So we had ordered stir fried veggies along with veggie noodles. The stir fried veggies were just bok choy and disappointing. Noodles was fine.

Be careful on “to go”orders. Not sure if they were doing this on purpose, but I got only 14 counts instead of 15 “frozen dumplings”, two times in a row. Not that a big deal anyway. But if they were not honest on this, they may be too on other things. The dumplings are OK. Too bad, 2 stars.

We ordered soup dumplings (小籠包), pork & cabbage dumpings. I thought the soup dumplings are not enough for me so I also ordered a multi-layered green onion cake, then it was too much for me. The food is pretty good! Will go again and try more items on the menu.

The food is northern China Dim Sum. I have to say that I am really impressed and for the price its the best deal. The shanghai soup dumplings were the best, eat it while its steaming hot. All the dumplings were hand made. This is food I would crave for.

The food was very good, although, it is not the Cantonese Dumplings that I was used to. The service was fair , we ate with small plastic forks , and had to ask for water refills. It was still worth the experience, I believe we would definitely come back.

Love this place...Excellent food, excellent service and made to order!! Spicy if asked for, and they dont skimp on the spice if youre not Asian (tends to happen at a lot of Chinese places)! I only wish it was bigger to fit more people =)

A place you dont want to consume if you never try. Nothing special from outside and in the middle of nowhere. But their dumpling are very tasty and juicy, dont miss it, fresh home made; and owner is a very charming and friendly lady.

Do yourself a favor and visit this quaint little Mom & Pop restaurant!! Amazing food, great service.. A foodies dream come true!! The menu is far from boring! Cannot wait to visit again! We <3 Dumpling House.. :)

The water boiled dumplings are very delicious and not expensive. The steamed bun or xiaolongbao is sub par and I will not order it next time. The staff are friendly and helpful on condiment and drinks.

Good XLBs but they dont have any fresh ginger to go with it. Dumplings are good too. Noodle soup are hit or miss - flavors are inconsistent. But otherwise, the cold noodles are good and the XLBs.

Theres enough variety to try something new every time, even after I became vegan. Everything is delicious, and at a great price. My only criticism is that this website does not include a menu.
