My wife and I dined here last Friday after wondering for quite a while if it was any good.In short our meals were okay, the atmosphere was very bland, the restaurant is tiny....smaller than our master bedroom and that aint that big, our server had the personality of an amoeba....his face would have cracked if he smiled. The beer choice was nothing less than woeful ....about 5 Asian beers and Bud Light.Gimme a break...we are in California mate...the server replies "No one asks for IPAs.....American beers not popular."I complained to Andy the owner at the front counter ...."We have lots of beers" he said.Well you better get with the plan Stan and stock a couple of decent pale ales and an IPA...beers that are made locally instead of flogging cheap imported Asian beers to your American customers. We wont be back!

This isnt your typical Vietnamese restaurant, but more like a viet/chinese hybrid. Dont expect a pho/bahn mi type of experience. Expect a very good cornish game hen, grilled pork dishes, curries, and several lemongrass flavored entrees. The prices are reasonable, and the ambiance is nicer than many other places around (quieter). I recommend that you go there soon. The owners are old, and there seems to be some pressure from the new owners of the strip mall to renegotiate a new lease, so enjoy it while it lasts.

Family owned and managed, with Mom and her magic hands in the kitchen. Husband Andy, places roses from his wonderful garden on the tables. Been dining in their peaceful atmosphere for years. The food and service never disappoints. This year, am especially fond of their Claypot chicken. Past years it was their Lemon Beef, and a variety of soups. Recommend all the appetizers with this warning. You might be tempted to double up on the appetizer menu and stay with that!

I have been going to this restaurant for approximately 15 years or more. I have never had better egg rolls or soup ever. I have never had a bad meal. This my special place for celebration dinners to I just want to treat myself to a great meal kinda place. Introduced some East Coast family member and they too are now hooked!

Vary your selections to discover new delights. Been going there for years. The atmosphere, with its white tablecloths and fresh roses from the owners garden, cant be beat. The food is wonderful and reasonably priced. Last; they seem to have won very local award as well as San Diego Magazine picks, there are.

My coworkers and I came here on a random day. I looked online and was happy to see that all of the menu items were super cheap. Most of the table ordered #17, which is vermicelli with a large imperial roll and grilled pork. I ordered the lemon beef salad!

Absolutely amazing food. Period. Service is competent, friendly, and unpretentious. Decor is dated, but clean and well maintained. Prices are modest, in keeping with the environs. A great place to relax while enjoying terrific food.
