I usually love this place, I would come here for breakfast and loooove their hash browns, but I had put my name down for 2 and the girl said sure and told me it would be 15-20 minutes. We waited and waited and groups or 2 and 3 were seated before us, even though they came in after. I asked my boyfriend to go up and check. Another girl at the counter said we hadnt put down our name and it would be another 15-20 unless we do their lounge. I was looking forward to my birthday brunch too. They have great service and good food, IF they dont forget to put you down on their waitlist. I was too disappointed and hungry to stay and eat there that day, we went just drove to Westlake instead. If theres one reason I cry, itd be over food (I had gotten soup at a supermarket once and put it on my tray, I slipped and the soup went EVERYWHERE, I was embarrassed and so sad my soup was on the floor I cried.), and I was so hungry, I cried in the car and Im 24 years old. The main thing about this experience that bugged me was that she had acknowledged that I was putting my name down, and didnt do it... I probably wont be visiting them for a while...

I ate here for the first time yesterday and loved it. We had the calamari which was wonderfully done. As tender and crispy as it gets (with those little tentacles, my favorite part) and great dipping sauces. My boyfriend got the fish & chips. The fish was perfectly light and tender and crispy -- not soggy at all, fries were nicely done. I got the Mediterranean plate which was great. The tzatziki was as rich as sour cream, the hummus had chipotle and the tabouli was very flavorful. All our dishes were decidedly better than what youd ordinarily encounter elsewhere BUT the prices were the same or lower than elsewhere. Cant wait to come back and try other things. Thank you! :) Update: (added a star) Ive tried many more items on the menu. They are all great and the portions are generous. This is a proper Greek-owned diner!

From the outside, Boulevard Cafe looks like just another coffee shop. But inside, youll find a varied menu that doesnt disappoint. My wife and I had the Chicken Asiago, a delicious variation on the usual Chicken Parmesan, and which included sides of pasta and fresh steamed vegetables. Our daughters opted for the Cafes tasty version of Macaroni and Cheese, which has chicken and spinach mixed in. We wanted to try the desserts, but were too full after our meal. Maybe next time well save some room by staying away from the excellent sourdough bread -- good luck with that!!! Overall, we were very pleased. Boulevard Cafe has delicious meals at a reasonable (by San Francisco standards) price -- we paid about $60 for the four of us. Our server (Kara) was friendly and efficient, and the service was prompt. Well definitely be back.

This was not a good experience for us. We came on thanksgiving evening and the service was not good, and the food was mediocre and I waited a long time for it. In addition, thanksgiving dinner was $29.95, and no one explained what came with it. We ordered meatloaf and pasta instead and although the presentation was ok, it wasnt hot. The mash potatoes were Room temperature. We waited a long time to get served. The waitress, Andee was spending more time with everyone else. The bus person kept refilling our drinks, was a lot nicer and smiled. He should have been our server. Finally, I asked for bread service and was declined. I waited a long time to get the check. I left. $2 tip on a $38 check. Sorry, but I expected a lot more for this kind of money.

My girlfriend and I love this place! With a modern "out of the box" exterior, this place is bound to catch your eye. The staff are very friendly. Theyre very busy, however, and are often not attentive but who can blame them when theyre so packed? The food is delicious (a bit overpriced but I still go back every time) and Ive become a thrice a week regular. Please come here and give it a try! Unrelated: my girlfriend has been trying to get a job here but management has not handled it well at all. Just a resume to apply and several promises of call backs have led to nothing. When the topic of applying was brought up, the staff skipped around the question awkwardly - like they had no idea hiring happens there. Very strange behavior.

For as large as Daly City is, there are surprisingly few good restaurants in the Original Daly City/Westlake area. Boulevard has been one of them, but they really showing signs of slippage of late. Firstly, I noticed that a lot of the upholstered benches were covered with large expanses of red/brown duct tape. Pretty tacky. Ive always been loyal to the fish & chips as being the best Ive had in the Bay Area, but what I had tonight lacked. It was slightly overcooked and quite tasteless without salt. My dinner partner was happy with his turkey burger. But I have to say, it was all just so so. Service was still good, but theyre going to have to step it up soon if theyre going to stay competitive with Original Joes.

Every time I come here, excellent service. The waiters and waitresses are great. The sourdough bread is so yummy. But alas the food just isnt good. Ive tried to give it multiple chances because my grandparents love the place and go every week. Ive tried the salmon, the ceaser salad, the fried chicken, the scampi pasta, the jalapeno and bacon mac... every time im dissapointed. Its just not worth the money. Its all overcooked, unseasoned, and just not appetizing at all. Im just going to have to eat before going from now on.. maybe just eat some of the sourdough bread

Good sized portions - got the California mac & cheese. It was pretty good but I couldnt finish it. My friend got the Asiago chicken and the chicken was large. It came with a small portion pasta and vegtables. The cafe has a lounge on the side, so it is a nice place if you just want a cocktail as well. They do free valet for parking because their lot is small but you have to go up the ramp to get to them. Very busy, had to wait 30 minutes for a table for 2. They serve bread with the meal - warm sourdough with butter pads. Delicious!

Great service. Mary our waitress was very attentive, and checked several times on us, refilled our coffee several times. I noticed the four waitress working the dining room, always moving. The kitchen is behind the counter, you can see the cooks, and preparation of the food, that inspires confidence in the food . We had breakfast at 10 am, place was almost full at this time of the day with local customes. There is a hidden lounge bar of to the side for those wishing to order the hard beverages and dinner at the same time.

A party of four? Trying to be proactive and snag a table while friends are in transit? Not on Sunday apparently. We have been waiting to be sat for thirty minuets, while tables with the capacity for our party sit empty. Why? Because our entire party has yet to arrive. Two stars for decent food and the cleanliness; however you may have lost some weekend regulars due to poor planning and a lack of tact from the hostess.... :( All I wanted was a bloody Mary and some coffee...
