Its been quite a few years since Ive been to a Yoshinoya, though this is a first for this particular location. I normally just get the chicken teriyaki and beef combo, and it was a bit of a surprise to see more options on the menu (ribs, Angus beef, etc), or maybe I just never noticed them because Ive always liked the regular chicken and beef. In any case, that wasnt the only change. Im not a fan of the packets of ginger, which I used I like when it was self served from a small jar. Im also rather sad to see they dont use those foam bowls anymore. I thought they were iconic, though its not like I dont understand the move to plastic boxes either. Oh, I thought it was interesting that the portion of rice in the combo is definitely less (less sure if theres less chicken and beef as well), since I remember the portions to be a bit larger. All in all, it was satisfying to have lunch at yoshinoya. Makes me wish there were more locations in the bay area.

Amazing food! I could seriously so without the American pop music! Nirvana was considered heavy metal in their time which is not dining music at all and the fact the group disbanded due to their choice to promote and commit suicide isnt what I wanted to think about over a meal I drove 20 miles for! Pardon me but wouldnt it make sense to play Japanese music in a Japanese restaurant? Or must we support Donald trump and his English only nonsense? You know if America believes we were blessed by God we must acknowledge English didnt exist when last he walked to earth and therefore didnt speak it! So yes you are making a statement and an unAmerican one playing English music in a Japanese restaurant! Seriously use your head!

Its not very high quality and its not very good for you...but the beef bowls are tasty and cheap. It is one of my favorite fast foods and I would eat there a lot more if it were closer. I remember when Yoshinoya only had three items on the menu - beef bowl, chicken bowl, and veggie bowl. They have made a lot of additions over the years, and the new items dont seem that appetizing to me (though Ive never had them). My only decision is small beef or large beef bowl. Beef rice bowl is a real Japanese dish, called gyudon, that you can order in real Japanese restaurants. Yoshinoya provides the traditional condiments of pepper and red pickled ginger. I prefer Yoshinoyas taste to any other Ive tried.

Amazing beef binto box! Your life is incomplete without regular meals at Yoshinoya. Tragically the chain struggles in similar fashion to Wienerschnitzel and Del Taco, lost in this dog eat dog world the chains leadership has no idea how to bring the brand to the prominence it deserves. When a location loses its lease as in Santa Clara CA the company simply shutters the doors and the community becomes void of their presence. My one wish for Yoshinoya is the company comes under the leadership of a competent expansionist who also returns vegetable tempura to the menu.

No. No. Please no. I never thought there was even the possibility of a crappy Japanese restaurant. I didnt think they existed. This restaurant, which is actually a decent restaurant in Tokyo, has not been able to translate that over in the US. The food is terrible. The atmosphere is crappy. There just wasnt much redeeming about this place. Japan is known for excellence in everything. Food, hospitality, etc. But whomever made this place totally missed the boat.

Im sorry, but after tasting Yoshinoya in Japan, the chain in US just doesnt cut it anymore. First of all, Yoshinoya serves Beef Bowl. That means its supposed to be served on a bowl, not on a styrofoam plate. Also the taste is just subpar compared to the original one. I used to satisfy my cravings by going to one of the three stores in south bay, but never again. They need to learn from the original again.

The best way to describe it is: American fast food grease in Japanese cuisine. I tried the original beef, teriyaki chicken, angus beef and vegetables over rice. Everything tasted average. Not bad, but not that good. Prices are on the low end at $5.75 for small, and $6.75 for large. So, its worth what you pay, but i personally prefer to pay more for better quality food.

日式家庭料理,快速供餐品質穩定,以南灣消費物價而言,已經是相當實惠的選擇。 雖然調味不如日本本地及台灣分店,但是用料實在,懷念青春歲月的平價美味!

Years and years ago I use to go get food at one in San Diego. Many have closed down and this is one of the few locations I can get to. The taste has changed a bit but its a good deal for a full meal. Service here is quick and they have a small parking lot. Dont forget to ask for the ginger and chili powder packet.

There is a special flavor to EVERYTHING they make. I moved out of state and I miss it so much. I had one of my family members drive it all from southern California to seattle Washington! I had my kid bring it on her way flying home from there. 3 large all beef, extra onion.

The store is old and outdated. Its stuffy during summer because their kitchen is preparing hot/fried food. However, nowhere around the area you can find a place beating the price/portion of yoshinoya, especially since its located in expensive Cupertino.

This is a hidden gem of a restaurant. Dont let the Japanese sounding fancy name fool you. The food here is delicious and cheap, for the price of a subway sandwich you can get a rice plate with marinated MEAT! Great portions too!

Im from Southern California and have fond memories of Yoshinoya. Its not like this place is the best, but its comfort food for me, like a big plate of mac & cheese is for most people. Not a place to go if you are vegetarian.

Not great, but not bad. Some stuff is incorrectly priced, they charged me more than what was advertised and did not want to honor the price that was posted on the menu. Food taste was ok considering it is fast food.

I like that its quick, and the staff is friendly. Its typical fast food decor though I wouldnt call it "good" or "poor." Food is simple and alright if youve got a yearning for some noodles or rice bowls.

Ive been to Yoshinoya in Japan and China, and I only ever get the beef bowls here. This was my first time going to one in the States. The beef bowl came out a lot drier and just sadder than I expected.

Fast food Chinese/Japanese food. I love their teriyaki chicken bowls but their beef bowls are also pretty bomb. Their chicken wings are tasty and the price of everything is very reasonable.

Nice food with very low price. I like combo bowl which comes with beef and teriyaki chicken. The dining area and parking lot are a bit dark and shaky. I usually order for take out.

Quality of food is acceptable for the price. The service is sub-par. They should train their employees to be more friendly and smiling just a bit. They appearr to hate their job.

Doing this so I remember the name and location. Neat, secretive spot below an office building. Will try to write a longer review later, but definitely worth the visit.

Although its pretty cheap food, the quality isnt that great. Not sure if Id go here again. The interior of the restaurant also felt dated and sort of run down.
