Yowsa! Open 10 to 10 but at 8:50 p.m. the lobby was locked hard (sign says lobby closes at 9) so I reluctantly headed to the drive-thru but it was totally dark (see pictures); I pulled up anyway and surprise! they were ready to take my order! She says "whadaya want?" - but the menuboard was not lit up - so I said "how much is a bowl?" and she replies "$5" which sounded too high and wrong - so I said "I will have a $5 Fill-up" and she says "original or extra crispy?" to which I reply "I wanna bowl" and she said "oh, what kinda drink?" a I said "dunno, whataya got?" and she said "we gots Pepsi, Cherry Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Sierra Mist, Lemonade, Sweet Tea, Plain Tea, Water" plus about six more. The drive-up window and driveway was as dark as a cemetery at midnight - even the front of the place was dark. So, I get my food and then I notice some fresh customers inside - I double check the time and it is 8:57 p.m. so I drive around front, try the door and it is locked but ajar a tad so I head in, claim a seat and dig into my bowl. Now, for the big disappointment: it was fairly good but it was lukewarm. This made the Popcorn Chicken tough and chewy. I powered through it because I was hungry and it was a late dinner for me. Halfway through they start dragging floor mats in and hanging them on the rail, wiping down tables, putting chairs upside-down on tables and sweeping up. Now the zinger: I am down to the brown gravy portion of my bowl and the Manager demands an inspection of the restrooms and all the employees insist that the restrooms are up to snuff - but he double-checks and then orders all hands on deck to the mens restroom where they all start gagging and yelling "G-R-O-S-S-!!!!!" - and I started gagging on my brown gravy too. The floors were filthy dirty. The chairs have peeling paint. I was afraid to scope out the mens restroom. I took some pictures of the blackened drive-thru when I left and I saw a confused woman try the drive-thru but she lost confidence and drove-thru without even ordering. This KFC is a hot mess.

Sh!@ I shouldve read the previous reviews SMH. So Im starving and decided to eat chicken since Ive been craving it for a couple days, I was stopped at the 1 of the employees telling me the lobby is closed. I was then told to go through the drive thru. Well the only reason I was coming into the lobby was because my car was running hot and didnt want to damage my engine. The women did let me in ( thank God) and once Im inside I see there is only 2 workers and no chicken. Tell me how does KFC sale chicken but the manager didnt put a cook on the schedule?? They need to be seeking new manager at this location because its going to hell in a handbag. I also would of liked to give this spot NO STARS but due to no choice had to give 1. I do give the 2 ladys her 5 stars and thank you Miara and Deleona you 2 ate the best.

I know working in fast food is not easy at all. And I always try to put myself in their shoes. If we had to choose convenience verses service the one on Contra Costa wins EVERY time due to service alone. Was told that the cook left 40 minutes before close. They had 4 chicken legs left and THE MANAGER said I had to pay $13 for those 4 legs while some dumb female was screaming in the background as if she was in a mental hospital. They act as if you are bothering them coming to the damn restaurant. Where are the corporate heads? I know businesses that if this was going on and even one person was reported, corporate would be in there as a customer morning, noon and night to see just what the hell is going on! And these people prepare your food?? Never going back to KFC on Monument in Concord CA ever again!!!

Worst place ever!!! (I have never used those words in a review before) The service is bad. At best, they act annoyed that they even have to take your order. The store is pretty nasty, dont go inside. The drive thru is completely dark, and the worker again didnt care. Now for the food... If they actually manage to get your order right they still forget to put it all in the bag. Half the food we got was cold. Several pieces of the tenders were so small they could fit on my spoon :( really? Wtf Best part was my kids staying home sick the next day. Thanks for that!!

Food was poor. Lemonade was warm with barely any ice. Its 100 degrees out! Customer service was terrible. When I asked the drive through customer service rep a question about my order she acted as if I inconvenienced her in some way . Rolled her eyes and loosely answered my question . Sensing the tension I smiled at her and said thanks- she just stared at me. Im sorry that I inconvenienced you with my business. It will not happen again, I promise that.

On Friday, Oct. 9, 2015, my wife and I drove thru and ordered 2, 3-pc. meals, all white meat, original recipe. When we got to the window, we were told that they didnt have enough original recipe to fill our order. It was 1:00pm on a Friday afternoon. We drove off empty handed and vowed to never again visit Colonel Sanders. The one-star rating is actually a minus one star rating. Well fellows, you win some and you lose some. That day you lost two.

June 3rd I traveled from Emeryville to Concord to go to the drive in and stopped by and was stuck in the drive thru for almost 45 minutes for a bucket of chicken and sides. Free deserts should be given when waiting more than 20 minutes. Also have a way to leave without being trapped in line

This has to be the worst KFC on the planet. Every time I come here the line is at least two cars long and nobody moves. Ive had to back out and leave to go to The other one across town who informs me that the one on monument is known for being awful

This place sucks . it says it closes at 10pm bt reality they close 2 hours early all the time. horrible service when you get to order and they never have all the menu items. On top of that drive thru takes over 20mins to get your order .

Twice I have been and they DO NOT HAVE chicken wings ready. Why if its lunch time we are in line for a long time and you do not have wings. If your short staffed is not my problem. Not that difficult to throw chicken in some grease.

Workers are spread too thin. Talk about low morale. Expect a long long wait even when theres hardly anyone there. Obviously not enough people work there. Workers dont have good communication skills either. We have been here twice...

They do chicken. Chickens hate this place. I have to give it to the drive through clerk. Annoying people inside and the alarm was blaring on the outside..and he was cool with it.. big props..food was mediocre at best
