I saw 4.5 overall Stars on Google Reviews, so I had decided to try it out, today. Food is good but it needed proper seasoning and the refried beans is rather thin and runny, its just like its from the can. Flavor isnt bad at all. Rice is good, not lumpy. Cheese Enchilada is much smaller than shredded Beef Enchilada. Chips is nice n hot and crispy with great taste. Glass of ice water without going through the filter. Taco is the full size that is really loaded just like its should. For the price, they should make some of the improvement, to get more business.

Such a funny success story. Stuck in a hole-in-the-wall, non-descript strip mall, its crowded all the time for lunch and dinner. The staff there is so nice, and most have been there a long time--very loyal employees. Lots of regular patrons. Everyone goes there in the Carmichael area. I make the drive from Land Park frequently. Food is good, but not really out of the ordinary. Its one of those rare places that has a kind of mystique, because its hard to pin down specific reasons why people love it. But they do. In droves. Long live EP!

This quaint, neighborhood establishment is fabulous! The food is authentic, fresh mexican cuisine that you would expect from an expensive fine dining restaurant. I found the service was exceptional, as well. The prices are comparable to fast food, yet you get high quality homemade mexican cuisine at its finest. Five Stars across the board! I suggest the beef burrito with avocado.

Best Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten at. Actually, one of the best restaurants in the entire world. I come to Sacramento two or three times a year. Every visit I always make a point to eat at El Palmar. I always order the Enchiladas De La Casa. What is so special about this place is the meat is so flavorful, plus the tortillas have a perfect tecture.

Good food. Fast service. I was surprised how fast the food came. I ordered enchiladas verdes, and they were muy bueno. Generous portions. Free chips and salsa. I was super stuffed when I left. The mild salsa looks more like a tomato sauce. The hot salsa was watery and had the color of the Tapatío hot sauce. Seems to be a pretty popular place.

The most authentic Mexican food I have had. This place is pretty busy during dinner time, but the wait time is not bad at all, and the price is very good for the amount of food you get. They have a bar on one side for those that like to watch sports. Very good service. My family goes at least 2-3x a month and never had a bad experience.

Best Mexican restaurant in the Sacramento - Carmichael area. Ive ordered at least 50 to 60 meals from El Palmar since moving in t I the neighborhood, and Ive never been disappointed. The food is consistently good, and the staff are always friendly. I recommend El Palmar to all of my friends, family and co-workers. Five stars every time!

Wonderful Mexican restaurant and lucky for me its within walking distance from my home. Unless you live for rice and beans you can get a decent amount of food for under $7 or $8 by ordering two items from the ala carte menu. Complimentary chips are hot and delicious as is the salsa. PS The house margaritas are good!

When I lived in Carmichael, this was my go-to Mexican restaurant... absolutely loved it! Great, friendly service and consistently delicious and affordable meals. Their margaritas and beer selection were great, too. Highly recommend. If I lived closer, Id grab food from here more often.

My husband and I absolutely love this restaurant. Whenever we want Mexican its where we go. The service is so great the food comes up very fast and its like we are only ones there even when its packed. Matter of fact Im on my way there now. Im getting the verses enchiladas my fav!!!

Has everything, great food, service and everything is affordable. The margaritas are some of the best Ive had. If you like Menudo they serve it on Sundays and it is FANTASTIC one of my favorites. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
