ROSEDALE Music
Any bar who hires hard working touring acts and doesnt pay them deserves to be shut down. The booker and manager were giving me every excuse in the book as to why they wanted to cancel after my first set and not pay me my $300 guarantee, yet, all "reasons" were getting immediately contradicted by compliments from the regulars (the booker was dancing with her friends..), fans walking in for the next two sets(and buying drinks/merch), and diligent emails leading up to the event. All the while the owner and booker hid at their other bar at The Boardwalk down the street and called the cops on me for trespassing. The Kraken is the home of greed, lies, cynicism, and arrogance. Dont support these crooks.

The Kraken is a little biker bar by the beach...Its one of the greatest places to go for fun! Because its small, you get to know most of the peeps there...and they get to know you too! Dont go there lookin for high end furnishings, come for the fun! Its right by some of the best restaurants, so you can eat before you go play! The music is always good and dancable... My husband, Frankie Dee has been playing there now for over 6 years! He plays R & B, Funk, some Rock...but for sure DANCE MUSIC! Girls, be sure not to bring men...there are plenty of those! Hope to see you there...

This little local bar is the bomb. Except for last Saturday when Rosedale band (I use this term lightly) one guy who thinks he is all that and more. He is probably one of the worse bands I have ever seen. They literally had to call the cops to get him out of here and now he is blaming the staff and owner for his lack of talent. I am one of the locals here and there was no clapping that I heard except for when he was booted. Come on by and judge for your self. 40 years and still going strong. We love this bar and its wonderful staff.

I came here with my wife a couple of times a few years back.Its a dive bar with a few pool tables out the back......where patrons can smoke because there are no windows back there. It can get pretty full on when they have a live band playing during the week.Sunday afternoons go off too with a good live act.Of course it helps that you can see the Pacific Ocean across the 101.

Dive bar with a laid back atmosphere. Came in for a quick drink and sat on the covered patio. Two pool tables are out there along with a view of a lagoon. There was also a food truck in the lot, which Im told has some great chow. If you are looking for this type of place in Encinitas it certainly is the place to go.

This is my goto bar. Joe and Sara are the dynamic duo of the Kraken. Joes quick witted responces to customers and Saras smile will keep me sitting at the bar all night. When its time to eat, B.C. never fails to amaze me with his chef skills. This bar has live music and a fun and energetic atmosphere.

The best beach bar ever!! So much fun, the locals welcome you in, the bands rock the house and its just like being on vacation..at home! A staycation! If you love to have fun, enjoy a few brewskies and being around happy, down to earth folks...this is the place!

The bartenders need a lesson on how to do their job. They dig out the ice for drinks with the same glasses they serve people. My friend got glass on his tongue. I can gladly say Im never coming back here. The bartenders lack common sense

Good place for live music right on the beach. Older crowd of people, good place to avoid a group of over the top younger people. Quite a few bikers here which I dont mind because my boyfriend and I ride Harleys.
