5 stars for breakfast, continue reading why the 1 star. My family and I were craving a Filipino breakfast so we came here before 9. The whole experience was awesome. The staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. The food was good size portions and very delicious! I had the pork Tocino (marinated grilled pork), wife ordered the Lechon Kawali (deep fried pork belly) and our son ordered the pork longanisa (pork sausage) all are served with garlic fried rice and eggs. The breakfast was awesome so we decided to come back a week later for lunch. We were very disappointed with our order. We had the Kare Kare- it looked more like a salad., than a entrée. There was more cabbage than meat. Traditional, Ox tail is used to prepare this meal. Also, the meat was very tough, dry and hard, because it was overcooked. The sauce was just drizzled on top of the cabbage. Also, we had the Nilaga, the soup was bland and again the beef was tough. I gave 1 star because I wasnt able to give zero stars. I think were just stick to the breakfast menu and for lunch or dinner were remain faithful customers with Kalesas in Milpitas!

I dont know of any other Filipino restaurants nearby so its already got the market cornered. Even ignoring this the food is quite good. The menu has plenty of variety and even if you are not an adventurous eater there are plenty of items to chose from. Service is good and friendly and the food was out unbelievably fast. They have a decent beer selection as well. For desert I recommend the holo-holo which is really quite unique. The atmosphere inside is fun, casual and has an eclectic decor. Its in a somewhat odd location in a strip mall behind Payless Shoe Source but if you spot the billboard its definitely worth a try and its fairly inexpensive.

I was here couple of months ago. It was Sunday morning and I really dont want to cook for my breakfast. Anyway, I was craving filipino food and I texted my friend, "Where is the nearest Filipino Restaurant in the Southbay?" He replied, "Tapsilog with the address too." I drove and we met up to this place. I was amazed of this place and hidden of the shopping area. I walked in....great ambiance, great customer service and excellent food. Food are not too salty and greasy for me. Mimosa, yeah its the best. Definitely, I will come back again. Although, I am looking forward to see in there beer menu, the San Miguel and Red Horse.

This was a great find on a vacation to CA. I am half Filipino and dont have any Filipino restaurants where Im from, so this was a great treat for myself and my boyfriend. We walked in and were immediately greeted and sat at a table. The place is casual and fun, with a bar and medals hanging on the wall. The menu was large and had so many great typical Filipino choices! Additionally, the prices were extremely reasonable for the amount of food, and high quality food, that you got. Service was fast and friendly and I highly recommend this place! They also seemed to have a food truck/catering business!

Tip: 1) Come with your Filipino friends and have them order 2) Check out the Tapsilog market next door Happy hour from 2:30-6:30PM, good drinks and appetizers (not that cheap though). Food and service were both great. My friend ordered the tocisilog (?) with garlic rice (my favorite), sisig fries (delicious!) , and the pork belly kare kare (not good, large pieces of super fatty pork belly fried and tossed on some steamed cabbage and beans in this liquids peanut sauce, not easy to eat nor yummy). Get a calamansi mimiso or lychee sangria, or a dessert like halo halo.

If you have a couple of hours to wait for your food this is the place to go. Otherwise they have poor service and poor communication. 12:45 pm we put our names down for a seat. The 15 min wait turned out to be 30 mins. I had to get their attention to order the food. It took another 45 mins to get the food on e the table including the appetizer. I wouldnt mind so much if they brought the appetizer first or actually communicated the status of the order. Again, I had to get their attention for the status. Food came out and it was average at best.

This place is a hidden gem. The environment is casual with a lot of character lined with marathon medals. Going in, I instantly feel the island vibes. I had the bansilog. Its the best Ive had in the US, 2nd only to the Philippines of course. It was prepared perfectly sitting on a banana leaf and bamboo plate. I like how theres self-serve wine which is unique although I didnt partake. They also have a fair selection of hops to fittingly pair with the Filipino cuisine. I will most definitely return here.

If youre missing Filipino food or you just want to go out and relax, this is the place to go in Campbell. So far weve tried the tocilog, tapsilog ang longsilog and it was really good that even my kids have their own separate plate. The crispy pata is the best compared to other Filipino restaurants weve been to. The owner (Ed), is there checking to make sure the customers are happy and satisfied with their orders. And the staffs, they are friendly and courteous.

I can say I enjoyed their brunch options on a busy Sunday morning (the place was packed!) - Longsilog ($12), Spamsilog ($12), and the Ribeye Steak Silog ($13) were both satisfying and great... especially on a Sunday morning, completely hungover from the night before. Wait, isnt Filipino food just a great hangover cure? Service was a bit off, but Im giving the lady some credit as she ran the whole show by herself. Wouldnt stop me from coming back.

This place is a hidden gem! The best Filipino food in the south bay. The crispy pata was incredible with a super crunchy pork skin. I recommend doing the family style set menu to try all their popular dishes. Tapsilog also offers unlimited mimosas and has Filipino chavelas. The owner is really nice - him and his wife are marathon runners and all of their race medals are hung in the restaurant.

I really like their food. The chicken adobo burrito was really good, I loved the adobo sauce on the side. One of my favorites along with some of the classic Filipino food. Sometimes theres a bit of a wait at the end to get your check which can be a little frustrating but the people are always nice and friendly. Its a nice place to have a casual dinner out.
