Well, being that I am a big man that loves to eat at buffets, I thought I was going to enjoy myself... instead, I left the table feeling a little disappointed and sick to my stomach. I tried the biryani and fried rice. It had good flavors and was delicious, but I also found parts of it to be very salty. Next I tried the butter chicken marsala. The sauce was nice, but overly sweet and the chicken was very dry. I couldnt finish half the tiny bowl they provide. Next was the tandoori chicken. It looked more like Burnt chicken. I pulled out several pieces that ranged from heavily chard and beef jerky like, to dry and not burnt, and then finally slightly dry and or juicy. Horrible cook consistency. Next I tried the coconut curry chicken. Yummy flavors. I would have gone back for more if not for all the tiny stray bones and my having to pull the tiny bit of chicken from the many bones. Sigh. The best part of my meal wasnt the nan bread, which was just average, or the barely mango flavored ice cream, it was the hot chai tea and the galoob jamon which was still just average. When I put the sweet sauce in the tea, my mouth was happy!!! Finally. Simply put, there are better places to go for Indian buffet.

I go here quite often for the weekend buffet and my husband and I are almost always the only white people there! The staff is super friendly and always on top of the naan and water refills. The naan is great, I love the mushroom curry, and my husband goes crazy for the butter chicken. When were lucky enough to be there on a day when they serve the fried balls of honey goodness, I feel like Im in heaven! Ive tried many Indian buffets in the area, and this is by far the best for consistency and customer service! I love Peacock!!!

The food was average. The appetizer and the main course (vegetarian) mostly had huge chunks of onions in them. After we were done eating, the check that came after a long wait didnt include some of the items we had ordered. When we pointed out, our waiter went back to his station to find our orders but he couldnt. We had to personally go to the cashier, who made us wait again because she was busy attending phone calls, list out all the items we ordered by looking at the menu card and pay our check. We wont be going back here.

This is a very good Indian restaurant serving good food at reasonable prices. As with most other Indian restaurants the buffet is surely overwhelming. We had mostly gone for the à la carte menu, though and found the food to be quite savory. The service is usually quick for both dine in and take-out orders. Try the Apollo Fish. After Rangoli and Amber, Peacock Indian Restaurant at Santa Clara would count as my favourite Indian restaurant in the Bay Area. The former two of course are the costlier options.

These guys dont really care about packing the food. They keep all the boxes in the same bag and, when we get to home and look in to the bag the lids go in to the curry and oil every where when it comes to the biryani these guys use very cheap boxes to pack em they just broke in few minutes after coming out from there. This has been happening from last 10 to 12 times to us. Anyway we liked the food so we cant stop ordering from the same place even we face lot of trouble wit the packing system.

We have been going to Peacock for the last 7 years or so. Week ends or Week days, the price was the same and the quality. After about a six months break we went on Saturday. We get a bill for 24 USD for two of us. When we went to paid, the guy at the reception withdrew the bill and charged us 28 USD saying on Weekends it costs more !!! Who would do this.. give one bill and then another ... So, be aware... The food also doesnt taste the same ..

Chicken DUM Biriyani is good here but if you want a spicy biriyani then you have to tell them specifically to make it spicy otherwise the taste is OK OK. I have been taking Biriyani from them from more then a year on a regular basis but still i would say they are not consistent. Last week i took Chicken Lollipop and that was horrible. i have never experienced that taste. Overall i will give them an average rating

All the 3 stars is for their lunch buffet.Their ala carte dinner options are bad. We had ordered choke nature and poori sabji, even after letting them know we want it spicy it was bland, tasted like it was made the day before . The oil was bad my kid started getting cough and tummy pain soon after. They did not apologise or rectify anything even after I complained!!! You must go there for lunch but avoid dinner

Im a visitor to santa clara and wanted to give it a try as it is very close to my hotel. THe food is average. I took FISH FRY, which was way TOO OILY. I could not eat more than one THe chicken briyani was decent (lots of ghee or oil, not sure). May be thier buffet is good. But im yet to try that. Thier quantity is pretty good. like the fish fry n biriyani, is for 2 people easily. OverAll just ok

We went to the restaurant for a lunch buffet, the food was not good plus they ran out of the original food items so they replaced them with crappy food, like chicken biryani was replaced by Lemon rice. The employees we rude when we asked for the right item. overall experience very bad, the employees need to be trained on customer service, i think they were just picked off the street.

Its hit or miss. U get varying taste for the same item ordered in different days. I am a biryani fan, but vegetarian. First time I ordered from them I just loved it. But I did not the same taste next 8 times. I got the same taste on 9th time. This happened with few items. So I stopped going there. Not all that great. I agree with staff negative reviews Venkata Sundaragiri

The food is awesomely tasty. Not very spicy or oily. I love their veg or chicken biryani. Its economic and good enough for 2 people. Good south Indian and north Indian options. Car parking is available in the complex as well. Samoss were on specials and with "chat" but seemed costly and yes they have best mango shake but for some reasons they call it mango lassi

These guys serve stale and spoiled food. went to this place today, ordered malai kofta, the koftas were clearly spoiled, there were wires forming when cutting the kofta. Called the manager and chef, chef agreed that koftas are spoiled, even then manager was trying to prove that its not spoiled. Would never goto this place again and never recommend anybody...

The most unprofessional and irresponsible attitude from the restaurant I have ever seen. Ordered Gobhi Manchurian and received Chicken Manchurian. Ate portion of it to realize it is not vegetarian. No apology or courtesy from the restaurant. Vegetarians beware of what you eat here. I dont recommend this restaurant for anybody (esp Vegetarians).
