Amazing coffee (and service). First had their coffee at John Bentleys on Valentines Day. We brew it daily at home and think its better (we like the medium/darker roasts) than even the boutique SF coffee places such as Philz, Blue Bottle, Sightglass. Just my opinion - should try for yourself.

I recently switched to ordering UG coffee for my house. I did it because buying locally-roasted beans cuts out a leg of transportation, thereby helping the environment, and because UG offers a lot of Fair Trade varieties. The superior taste earned me major points with my housemates.

The food and the coffee are great, and the baristas are friendly. However, they have been really inconsistent with their hours. Theyre scheduled to open early in the morning, and I came by several times at 9am this summer to find then mysteriously closed. Really disappointing :(

Great atmosphere, no frills, cheap, and coffee that is as delicious as it is unpretentious. Good study spot. Major bonus points for working to provide employment with refugee population. Constructive feedback: it is FREEZING in here. Bring coats/scarves/hats!
