Honestly, the best pizza Ive ever had. PERIOD. The pizza here is amazing, especially the ones with corn. Its a different pizza everyday and corn is mainly during Summer and fall months. They are vegetarian..which is crazy, its so damn good. GAHH Everyone who comes anywhere CLOSE to the Bay area must try Cheese Board Pizza!!! I seriously mean it. I would give it 1209129 stars if Yelp allowed me. The lines here are long, but they move along fast and are worth it. If youre into thin crust pizzas, you MUST come here and give it a shot. Even if you dont like thin crust, or youre not a pizza place. This is a the time you make an exception. Im a recent graduate at UC Berkeley and man, I miss this place :(. I havent tried that many pizzas they offer, but the 4-5 Ive tried, they are some of the best pizzas Ive ever had. Im a huge pizza person. I love eating pizza from everywhere and anywhere. You name it, Ill try it. So far Cheeseboard is the best pizza period. Anyways, my favorite pizza is pretty much anything as long as it has corn. Corn makes wonders! Mmm Aflatoxin.. I love the corn pizza, however the thing is, its seasonal, so make sure you go like sometime from Spring - Fall to try the Corn pizza. Some other ones that I like are the potato and mushroom ones. Those are great too. However, Im not too fond of the pizzas with fruit toppings like peaches...I mean Ill eat it, but not too big of a fan. The first time I tried it was my freshman year with some friends. I believe it happened to be corn that day, and I guess thats what drew me into the Cheese Board Craze. its not hyped at all. You know how some people overhype things and when you try it, its not so great.. this is not the case. This place is underhyped, even with all the hype it gets..if that makes any sense... Anyways...back to my first trip.. after eating a couple slices of the pizza, I was like..I want more and moreee. The crazy thing about cheeseboard is that it is vegetarian!! Every pizza they have is 100% meat free.. I totally did not know that until the 2nd time I went. Pizza doesnt need meat to taste good! Cheeseboard proves that. :) Just Try It. Cheeseboard.

The lines of people here... whoa! I dont think Ive ever seen people waiting out the store and around the corner for a pizza. Well, here they (you) do. But well worth it, to be honest. They have a different pizza (and one salad) each day (so we were told), and its a good thing theres only one choice. Less fuss, less deciding and people just come up to the counter and say either slice ($2.5), half pizza ($10) or a whole pizza ($20 - it comes with two additional small slices). They also come in gluten free crust version (or so they say, check ahead, please). The crust is super thin and yummy, just what youre looking for in a pizza. The line, as before mentioned, is dauntingly long, but moves fast (really fast, to be honest) since people cant afford be too picky about their choice. You can also decide whether you want it to-go or eat on the spot. Id suggest on the spot if its not too crowded. They have a nice place to sit outside and eat. Dont forget to recycle afterwards, they make it really easy for you! There are also some condiments that you can have with your pizza - people seem to go crazy about the Hot Green Sauce (I actually thought it was Pesto, too bad it wasnt). We didnt try it, because were not really fans of hot sauces, but judging by how many other people had it on their pizzas, it really must be something. Check the schedule first, though (they are closed on Sundays, and they close once during the day for an hour and a half). We got there 5 minutes before closing time, because we had no idea they close the shop in between and didnt even think wed get the pizza in the end (but we did). Bonus: they serve free water and theres live music! P.S. You can also get their daily pizza light-baked next door at The Cheese Board if youre not up for waiting and eating on the spot.

*** In Short *** Flavorful pizza thats reminiscent of gluten-free pizza in texture. *** In Depth *** I swear I went to Cal. Yes, for the four full years. Honest. I explain away my failure to eat at Cheese Board until almost a decade after I graduated as pure and simple collegiate laze. Four years, and I never expanded my horizons beyond the four blocks around the Cal campus :| BUT, better late than never amirite?! So, coming with an old college buddy and his family, and somehow getting lucky enough to nab indoor seating, we ordered a couple whole pies of their pizza of the day: an artichoke, olive, and parsley affair. And, thoughts? Well, the thing was brimming with wonderfully delicious flavors! The downside? The crust was rather gummy and dense, reminiscent of the texture of gluten-free pizzas Ive had in the past. Not awful, but something that definitely detracted from the overall experience. Would I go again? Yeah, sure. Friends that I described the aforementioned to have never experienced it before, so it could have just been an off-day. ***Accessibility Info*** Venue - Accessibility is a tad mixed: I dont recall any tables having entirely accessible seating, with a mix of benches on one side, and pull out chairs on the other, both indoors and out. That said, there may have been a few outdoor tables that only had pull-out chairs, but with the crush of people and close arrangements, only the outer borders are easily accessible. Bathroom - Didnt try.

We were in the area for a hike and I practically forced my friends to come here to eat because Ive been wanting to eat here for a while. We were standing in the long line and they were debating whether they should get something else to eat because we were all hungry and I convinced them that the line will go quick because they only make one thing - one pizza. Of course the place was packed and there was no seating so we went to the grassy center divide in the middle of the street and had a "picnic." The wait was so worth it. The pizza of the day had arugula, snap peas, asparagus, lemon vinagrette. For some reason, I love arugula on my pizza and all the other ingredients totally worked with the pizza. Whatever the cheese is was amazing. I love how the crust is thing so its not too carb-y and that you can taste the cheese. I love the lemon too. Goes good with the greens. Overall, Im a huge fan. I love pizza. And now I love cheeseboard. I will definitely be back if Im in the area.

If I could just live in this shop and nibble on cheeses, breads, & pastries all day, I would die happy. Seriously, this is my favorite bakery ever. First time I ever had grated lemon peel on a pizza was here (didnt even know you could do that - and it was fabulous!). They always give you a little extra mini-slice with your pizza eat-in orders which is just too nice. Plus, the CHEESES (over 300 or 400 different kinds literally). My biggest problem when I come here is trying to decide what *not* to buy ("The Cheesy English Muffin is so good! Love the Olive Focaccia too. Oh wait, the Blueberry Muffin! OMG, cant leave without a Chocolate Thing!"). Bonus: its a collective, meaning its owned by the people who work there. All the people showing you cheeses, giving you pizza, & at the cash registers are the same people getting the food ready starting at (literally) dawn that morning. Talk about fresh & locally owned!
