The food itself should get five stars, but the service generally tends to drag down the experience. Perhaps the great food lends a bit of arrogance to some of the staff who rush you out of the restaurant well before closing and announce that they were just talking about you as you arrive, but dont allude to what the conversation entailed. I just remain polite and give them the tip just in case their attitude was mere clumsiness instead of all-out rudeness. Theres some weirdos and unorthodoxy among the villagers of Arcata.

This was my first time trying this place and it was absolutely amazing. The bacon cheeseburger was delicious. Juicy beef, great vegetables, perfectly crisp bacon and toasty, non-oversalted fries. Its non-overpriced and worth much more for what it costs. Yes, it serves inspiration to the Krusty Krab but the staff probably wont like people bringing it up, it gets old. The wait isnt very long at all, well, depending on the amount of business. I definitley DO recommend stopping by if youre in the area.

Humble burger joint with a to-the-point menu and reasonable prices. They make their own buns and use local, grass-fed beef (for which they should really toot their own horn a bit more). From my visit, onion rings were obviously hand battered and fries werent over-salted. The burgers were cooked the way a grilltop patty should be-- well-done but juicy with a bit of crispy char on the outside. Chocolate shake was rich and not overly sweet.

Solid burger choices. Had the jalapeno. Great flavor but burger was slightly overcooked. Cajun fries were a joke. Just fries with store bought Cajun seasoning unceremoniously dumped on them. Big basket though. Good prices. Good burger joint atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff. I also really liked that the sizes of drinks were manageable and not super sized.

AWESOME! My most favorite burger joint in 20 states (only 20 because I havent been to the other 30). This place is friendly, great food, employees to DIE for and great management. Comes through as amazing "homemade" food and exceptional service. Family friendly and wont break the bank. ***I am only a customer. I dont work there, nor have I ever worked there.***

Best burgers in the area! Huge AND tasty. Ordered a double bacon cheeseburger. It was giant and definitely a stack of napkins kind of meal. Their milkshakes are great too. We had fries and onion rings. The onion rings were dainty and covered in fried flakey goodness. Soooo good. Lots of burger options and pretty fast too. Will be back next time were in the area!

I love eating here. You cant beat a Hamburger combo thats got grassfed local beef, tastes great, and will fill you up all for less than a crappy combo at a MCds or something. Its not just thrown together. They have good fish sandwiches and a huge selection of how your burger can come. It always seems clean and the staff is great. Would recommend highly!

A correctly made, thick patty burger that has the delicious flavorings of a char-broil grill as well as the juiciness sought by many burger joints. A must have when traveling to Arcata. The lines are usually long but for good reason and well worth the wait for the quality of their food that seems to be thoughtfully prepared by their chefs.

overrated. why do they have so many awards? frys only taste okay 1 in 3 times. patties usually messed up and nothing special. buns are totally average. ohhhh yeah and the bacon. the #$%^ing bacons always half cooked and rubbery. what else.... hahah oh yeah if you get a salad its....well just dont get a salad. still beats mcdonalds

After moving our kid in for her first year at HSU I soooo needed a burger. Loved it! Juicy bacon cheeseburger with just the right amount of mustard. Nice, crisp bacon, golden crisp fries with just enough salt, and the chocolate malt was a DE-light. Great staff. Very friendly and personable. Will certainly go back.

Dont get it twisted, 3.5 stars (Cmon google allow half stars) Its ok. Not great, not terrible. I would definitely check it out if you are in town. However, it isnt a must taste. Burgers grilled on electric stove, beef is grass feed, patties are a bit small, buns are whole wheat. Not bad

We regularly got burgers at Stars when living in the Arcata / Eureka area. The cheeseburger basket was especially nice. The staff was (mostly) friendly with a couple of exceptions, but the food is consistent! Affordable and tasty! Will definitely go again if Im ever in the area.

like their veggie cheese burgers. :) They clean off a spot on the grill for me and everything. Fries are yummy and they have MALTS! Chocolate malts are the best. I dont do meat though, so I have no idea how that is. For a veggie burger its delish...and greasy and wonderful. lol.

Im not the biggest fan of burgers but I absolutely LOVE this place! Their ingredients are so fresh and their burgers are juicy and delicious! The only thing I could complain about is the slow service, but if youre craving a delicious burger the wait is worth it!

Just an awesome experience. The spicy chicken sandwich was great, and my family members all enjoyed the burgers, milkshakes, and rootbeer floats. The service was fast and friendly and the owner was very cordial. Highly recommend the joint and will come again!

Still good burgers, but the thing I loved about this place was my burger with avocado. Last two times Ive gone, they havent had any and I no longer see it on the wall. I assume that they no longer offer it. Shame, as it complimented the burger there so well.

Ok Burgers. Thick cold fries. REALLY really slow. like a walk in will take 30 minutes, including 10 in line, while people act like theyve never ordered food in their life. seniors, handicapped, and the young flock here. best to go. still a wait

When many specialty burger places are pushing $10 for a simple burger Stars Hamburgers continues to offer awesome value. Portions are big and the burgers are delicious. You wont be disappointed and youll be happy with how little you had to spend.

Update, recommend you dont arrive within an hour of closing. The staffs desire to leave on time, greatly impacted their customer service. Grass-fed, free-range beef, with no exceptions. Quicker and less greasy compared to Tonys.

Absolutley delicious. Humboldt grass fed beef with buns made in house. You can make any burger into a basket to include fries and a soda for a great price. Takes some time for food due to burgers being cooked fresh per order.

The bacon guacamole is my favorite! They make there own buns and onion rings and their fries are delicious. If you havent tried Stars then your missing out. And there prices are pretty reasonable too!
