Incredible : Food Service Ingredients Menu Management Location Fresh Specials Ambiance COOKS (on fire, never a bad showing) *insert golf clap* for Peter "The Greatness on the GRILL* Although, I am admittedly, friends with nearly every employee since they opened and also living across the street up until a month ago...this was my FIRST, My last...my everything. No seriously, the smell of bacon woke me at OPEN, and the laughter and boozy Whiskey drinks coo me right back to bed at night. Happy hour is key. Munchies? FORGET ABOUT IT... open until 2am and you will not hear a grumble or groan come from the kitchen about a 1:45am well-done order, for the supremely legit Welcome burger (no onion, add bacon and ALLL THE PICKLES YOU HAVE IN THE JOINT. The food is a bit spendy if you happen to be unaware of the locally sourced and spectacular ingredients used. Cocktails, also spendy. However they are masterfully mixed with only the best quality mixes and OH THOSE CHERRIES...... but you shouldnt be sucking down 4 sazeracs anydamnhow. (Mind your Happ-Hour times people) I dearly miss the Bratwurst, the tastiest meat-bread combo full of tastebud delight. Bring it back yalll....BRING IT BACK. The film festivals, rotating fence art, are just a few phenomenal displays of the community dedication and loooove, along with the Garfield Community Garden Jenn is often caught working in and harvesting fresh bounty from. You wont find a better quality menu, quaint ambiance nor community-oriented group of people to be more than happy to support than these darlings. PRO-Tip Dont order the Big Jim on a hot date. Its a drool worthy-gravy-disaster that will likely toss you into a deep comatose type sleep, faster than your able to get a hand up the shirt. Tip your servers please. From Phoenix, with love, -Ninny

Overcharged drinks. Specifically asked if a whiskey and soda would be the same price as a gin and tonic... ended up 4 dollars more. 8 dollar whiskey and soda the whiskey and sour ended up being 18 dollars. Total should have been 14 bucks. After asking the mgr what had happened, he explained that since it was house made ginger soda, its a 4 dollar extra charge. Ended up just settling the tab and then my girlfriend ordered me a drink. Half a hour later and everyone at the table has their drink... Except me. Asked the manager again what was going on and it ended up in a verbal altercation with him. The summary of the argument was that I asked for my drink, then the whiskey and soda was brought up by him again. Eventually just let him know that I will be posting a review on google due to his behavior. Quote unquote response from the manager "Google? Never heard of it.". Keep in mind this is with a whole line of guests behind me and theyre listening pretty intently by this point. Waited a couple more mins, my girlfriend at this point just goes to get the money back. Guests behind definitely took note as their first question "was the service that bad?" Yes. Yes, it was. Childish at best. Will not frequent this location ever again.

I cant start by telling you how completely let down I was by this modular restaurant. The "shack" not diner, is a single wide trailer on a concrete slab. Hope you enjoy eating in 100 degree heat, cause you have to eat outside and the sprayers will cut off after time, they did on us. There is no kids menu nor regular seating just your hobo, pedophile uncles lawn furniture and no, it has not been well kept. The food is gross the chipotle mac and cheese tasted like card board, the jack fruit sandwich made me wanna puke, and the bigger my 7 year old said was inedible. The fries have to be order as a extra. So for me and my three children to have dinner cost well over 60 dollars... before tip, yeah thats right they expect you to tip even though there is no... absolutely no level service. Worst part my kids left hungry. Thats right my kids age 11 - 7 didnt get enough food and I still have to feed them after feeding them dinner. I only wish I could give this place a 0 cause thats what it deserves.

Fun, hippy, eclectic yet completely off the charts kind of place. Been coming here for three years now and the menu items are all to die for. This time I got me an old fashioned, and that drink is very well made here. For my dinner I got the mac and cheese, one of my favorite dishes here. Very creamy, cheesy dish that makes you want more. I also ordered a side of hand cut fries and those were amazing as well. Definitely recommend this place and Ill come back again. Have low expectation for seating and be open minded, youll have fun. Update..... came here again after a night of fun and drinks with friend. As usual for me, I got my old fashioned beverage but Tia I time I ordered mac and cheese with Brussels sprouts and these guys never fail to impress me. The food was amazing. I was with friends and they also had the mac and cheese, one had the PoBoy fish sandwich, one friend had the poutine and another had the jambalaya and we all left happy and satisfied. Way to go welcome diner...

Wife and I just flew in to Arizona and stopped here because our flight got in around 10pm and this place was nearby Sky Harbor and open late (kitchen open until 2am). Ordered the Welcome Burger, medium well, raw onions, no pickles (because they were bread and butter pickles and I dont like those). It came with a choice of side and I picked fries. The burger was FAN. FRIGGIN. TASTIC. I can say the same for the fries. My wife tried both and agreed with my enthusiasm. In fact, I can say without exaggeration that this was easily one of the top 5 burgers Ive ever had in my 30 years of life. Cant speak highly enough of the burger and also the fries. Well definitely be coming back here on our way to the airport before leaving Arizona.

05/2015 Due to our initial love for their biscuits and gravy, we went back. Twice. Both times, however, they were CLOSED randomly during the day. :( The first attempt at 1:30pm and then a few weeks later at 11:30am. Closed, even though posted business hours indicated it shouldnt have been so. No signage or explanation -- nothing. Its just not a good way to conduct business, right? As a result, we are hesitant to return because we dont want our biscuits and gravy cravings to be disappointed thrice. And, their initial perfect 5-star raving review has been deducted per closure. 04/2015 The BEST fried chicken with bacon biscuit sandwich and biscuit with gravy plate! Awesome and friendly service too! Thank you for a great time!

The wait it a little much, but the location, food and the weather when we went made for a perfect evening. Everything about this location is bomb. The diner area is a little small but the outside seating is fine as long as the weather permits. Everything Ive ever ordered off their menu has been excellent. Chicken sandwich is my favorite. The staff all seem to really enjoy being there and take their time to make the experience special. The kitchen area seems cramped but the guys working the grill had a practiced hand and the food came out quicker than I would expect (although slower than most places with a full kitchen staff) If you are looking to a unique date spot or a nice evening hangout with friends this is the spot.
