Wow! I thought Id pick-up a few orders of their 2-piece special on Tuesday, and then pick-up a Little Caesars pepperoni before 10:00PM. My receipt says ordered at 9:29PM. Finally got my order at 10:02PM, to late to get a pizza! Or for that matter anything else! The place wasnt crowded like it is at 7:00-7:30PM, and only two people in front of me when I walked in, although, in hind-sight, there were alot of people sitting and standing around after I had a chance to find my spot to wait for my order. This place is way closer to my house, like 2 miles, versus the Popeyes on State College, which is about 7 miles, one-way, which is why tonight I thought I would go there (because its closer), and then stop by the Little Caesars on the way home. Thats the last time I go to the Katella/Brookhurst Popeyes. This happened once before, about a year ago, but the guy at the register said it would take about 18 minutes, and gave me an option to get regular versus spicy chicken right now, or wait the 18 minutes extra. No problem, I went grocery shopping at Stater Bros. over on Brookhurst and Orange, came back, and my order was ready. This time it was different. They all new what was going on, seven or eight workers pretty much idle, yet one or two were still calling "Next In Line!". There were no next in line, just a bunch of us waiting for our orders! Number 214 was called at least twice, seems they were negotiating the order because they didnt have the product available. Popeyes chicken is great! This particular location ruins a great Popeyes night. I definitely will be driving the extra miles to State College and La Palma for my future Popeyes cravings.

Popeyes is the Shiznit! If you dont believe me just ask Little Nicky. Hot N Juicy chicken spiced just right. Biscuits nom nom, beans with meat in it, and rice all Louisiana style. I wont argue with you if are from New Orleans, but pretty darn close to the real thing. Best fast food replica west of the Mississippi. Also, approve by my buddy what lived in Orleans his whole life. This review is all about the food. Dont expect 5 star service from a fast food joint. Seriously, if you rate fast food by the service you are wasting your YELPing time! Darn good eats my friend! I will temporary cheat on my KFC for a hotter young sister, POPEYES Chicken & Biscuits! Fried Chicken Lovers this is a must. Even if you live in the sheltered life of Irvine or south OC a trip to Popeyes is worth it. All this health food and skinny people will make you sick. So just try not to get shot and drive to Anaheim. I tease it isnt that bad in Anaheim. Sometimes to get good food you need to cross the border. Put away your forks and knives, bring your family and enjoy Real finger licking good chicken. *Note this Popeyes is bomb! Not all Popeyes are created equal try to avoid ones located in Asian cities/ areas.

Inaccurate hours, mediocre chicken. Look, when I want fast food fried chicken, I head over to Popeyes because they have really good deals. I happened to go on a Wednesday night to order some wings. I got the wings, took em home and ate up. I just want to make this clear: if your wings are gonna taste like absolute crap and have a bunch of skin and dark meat stuck on them, DONT serve them! Sure, they seemingly gave me 10 wings total when I only ordered 6, but they were all rubbish. There was literally no meat, all skin, and any meat I could scavenge was dark and tasteless. The fact that they threw in more to "compensate" for the poor quality shows how ignorant this particular establishment can be when it comes to making the customer happy. To add insult to injury, I decided to give them another chance late at night, following their online hours posting which states that this place closes at midnight, and arrived at 11 PM to no avail. Just go to the one in GG or Santa Ana. This place sucks.

Maybe some of you don’t know yet, but on Tuesdays Popeyes runs a special – 2 pieces for $1.50 or a combo with side, drink and biscut included for $4.50. This is pretty filling for lunch. My coworkers and I headed to this location and found it to be super crowded. However, the line moved super fast and we got our orders in relatively a short time. When we asked the guy at the counter if he considered this busy, he said no, wait until later in the day…that’s when it gets really busy. It seems everyone loves their Tuesday chicken specials. I ordered their two piece meal with spicy chicken. The chicken was fresh and excellent. As for my side, the fries, they were just okay. A bit dry in my opinion. One thing I didn’t like was that they charged 22 cents extra for sauces and come on, you can’t have fried chicken without some BBQ sauce. Overall for the price and service, this place is worth checking out.

The owner/manager is an incredibly rude and malicious person. I came in late at night and since there was no bike rack, I brought my bike in and placed it in a corner near the entrance. Not only was the bike out of the way, but there was only a few people present. However the owner/manager began yelling at me very loudly and screaming that the bike must be removed because it was in the way. This was completely untrue, but I only asked her where I should lock my bike as there was no bike rack outside. In a very rude and nasty way, she told me she didnt care, it was not her problem, and get out. So I did. Never had such an experience anywhere else, and usually places are fine with me bringing my bike in if there is no rack outside and the bike is placed out of the way. I will certainly never go here again.

The chicken is good when its fresh, but thats a narrow window. More often it will be dried out and leather tough. They dont hand out butter for their biscuits anymore. "Its a corporate decision." is a nonsensical answer, especially when the Popeyes the next town over has plenty of butter. When correcting an order, the cashiers are sullen as hell. If you ask for an extra breast with your order, expect to pay twice as much as you would at another location, and your second breast to be half the size of the first. Just an ugly, greedy way to run a business. I love Popeyes, but this particular franchise is awful. Find a better spot.

Arrived @ 9:50pm (website says they close at 10pm) there was numerous patrons before me who had already ordered and were waiting for their orders. I made my simple order immediately, the Tuesday Special (leg & thigh $1.79) and a side of mashed potatoes, total bill $4.51...great deal..but had to wait 15-20 minutes for my order. NOTE: THEY DID HAVE A SIGN ON THE COUNTER WHERE ORDERING, THAT FROM THAT POINT YOUR WAIT COULD BE UP TO 25 MINUTES. Good Job Popeyes!!!

Last night had a craving for it and everything just turned bad... Ordered spicy and packed mild chicken. But top of that half of chicken were over cooked or re-fried... It was so dry and very hard... Also it was piece short. About side dish... Ordered coleslaw and it was only 70% filled... This location used be good but I dont know what happed. Maybe just one time but Im not going back to this location again..
