Me and my son went to Anaheim hometown buffet on July 2 . My mom passed 4 days before and it was in memory of all the times we ate at the buffets.. Boy, it was just awful.. we ate and bam the busser (not server) they hire was there sweeping plates off our tables.. he even reached over our table to refillnapkins and everything else he wanted.. finally I was sitting with empty table without plates.. I finally said to another associate that this guy is on top of my table without any peace whatsoever. She said thats Good! I said No its not.. we are being disturbed and I feel rushed after paying $38 for 2 and I dont want a busser hovering over my table. Within a half hour I was sooo done with this we left.as soon as we got up that busser ran to the table and noticed first thing he did was seek tip... Lol. A tip? I dont leave tips for a self service place I told my son. As we walked out I made a decision thats the last visit I will ever make to hometown buffet..$38 to eat and be disturbed the whole visit as me and my son were aiming for my mom the memories. Good bye hometown buffet. You will never see me as a paying customer again.

I would give half a star if I could..I traveled to Anaheim for a family vacation and saw this hometown Buffet (Barf-fet). The Hometown Buffet in our hometown is decent and clean. This Hometown Buffet was far more than disappointing. Worst food Ive eaten. The food was either overcooked or undercooked, no flavor, food bars were unclean, utensils were sticky even after supposedly being washed, and the food appeared to have been sitting all day- needless to say- the food did not look appetizing. We were there during dinner hours and the place had very few customers; spent $85 for the seven of us. After taking the first few bites of food on our plates, the wife, kids and I were done; even the kids were complaining. Before sitting at the table (after paying), my 13 year old boy and I used the restroom; i should have taken this as a warning this establishment is not clean and requsted my money back. I could have spent that at a much cleaner restaurant and better atmosphere at downtown Disney.

This is probably the cheapest buffet in town, but you get what you pay for. Ive been to other Hometown Buffets; this one, however, is a bit slower (maybe due to the mediocre food) and service is wanting. The food had obviously been sitting in the warming trays for a while and tasted slightly overcooked. The prime rib and ham cuts were actually decent, but the steak was chewy and flavorless, as was the meat loaf. The salad bar, however, seemed fresh enough. Desserts were plentiful and the bread pudding and chocolate melting cake werent bad. As others have mentioned, the facilities arent the cleanest, and the restrooms in particular were disgusting. Someone apparently vomited all over the womens restroom and it had not been cleaned up. Overall, I dont have the highest expectations for Hometown Buffet but this was a bit lacking.

Nice buffet lunch. Salad bar, Mexican good bar, 2 other hot food bars. Theres nice hot dinners rolls and pizza available. Very appropriate place to come with your children. Thursday evenings they do specials for families with children. Check it out. Today I enjoyed meatloaf, fried chicken, mashed potatoes and brown gravy (gravy was too salty for my taste). I also had a little steamed carrots and a little corn. The desert area is separate from the other hot foods. I just walked back there when they were refreshing the deserts and took a slice of dark chocolate cake...yum. TIP: Sign up for their Crave loyalty and receive discounts on future visits. Today I used a $2.00 off coupon for my lunch. They also offer Senior discounts you can sign up for.

Well if i could give it half a star i would. Unfortunately the service at this pig pen is utterly disgusting to say the least. Never had i been so insulted by staff members including the little to be desired management. As fire the food ( if you even want to call it that) was down right horrible ! I do mean vile beyond my gag reflex. Absolutely the nastiest food Ive ever consumed. To top it off theyre wad insect parts on most of the food. And when you think it cant get worst....think again. There was some psychologically disturbed individual blessing all the food and tables with his sputum....yes he was spitting oneverything. Dine at this disease cesspool at your own risk.

Good family Restaurant. There will always be people who will complain whether under-cooked or overcooked. So you just pick something different. The choices are so large you will find the food to fit your taste. And its quite the opposite, if you watch the containers are constantly filled with fresh food, as people build a mountain of food on their plate which can never be eaten. It sickens me watching the greed, but thats what all you can eat places do. The salad bar of course is the best, its a meal in itself if you choose everything.

It was the worst experience ever. My wife and I went to get a bite to eat and needless to say the food was so dry it needed lotion to taste good. My wife had some of the orange chicken during the dinner hours, she spit it out stating it tasted like chemical. I tried a piece of it and tasted this strong almost like some of the pot and pan cleaner was not washed out during its cleaning process. We told the manager but as always got an answer that would not put them at blame. Never again will we visit this Hometown Buffet.

Horrible place , disgusting food with terrible quality, very cheap materials used for coking ! This is the last home town buffet in orange county which I think they have to shut it down very soon. I have to say 1star is too much for my experience , not even 1/4 star . They have raised prices and the quality has dropped dramatically !! Employees are very unhappy with the service they gave us , Unfriendly and very unpleasant !

Let me see , The quality of the food was below average, absolutely no taste. Especially the fish. Pizza n fish sticks were burnt. Their were no variety of foods just the same predictable choices, the Dinner is overpriced as well , And on top of that their were NO staff to pick up our plates. Worst experience ever and the $55 I spent I wish I could get it back. Smh

Terable food was bad like poor quality selection beyond poor carged extra for drinks 38$ lunch for two with drinks was really overcharged for the food they had out never again will we eat there also eating off the antiquie plastic used nursing home plates were totaly disgusting my real star rating would be minus 5 stars the place should be closed down

El lugar está bueno pero, no hay mucha variedad de comida y no hay mucho servicio. Si bien es cierto que es un Buffet pero la atención al cliente es primordial.

Employee are friendly and constantly going around making sure that the customers are attended to. When a large group is brought in, employees make sure they are set where they feel most comfortable. The place overall needs to reorganized and sometimes the main dishes are not given out as advertised.
