Food: 4/5 stars I cant say theyre the best since there are so many choices around here. I am so blessed when it comes to VN food. But the taste will hold its own to other sandwich places. Thats a pretty tall order right there for thus neighborhood. Atmosphere: 3/5 stars Nothing to dream about. Hike in wall with counter for ordering. To go only. But hey, its great for grab and run when you dont have time. Service: 4/5 stars Order at counter and wZit for food. Well the women there were very helpful and make sure you know theyll take care of your order. Expense: 5/5 stars Cheap. Cheap. Cheap. Did I mention cheap? I did? Well its cheap but cash only. Return: 5/5 stars Solid and cheapVN sandwiches, coffee, juices, side dishes; what else can you ask for? No, dont answer that. Just come and enjoy the food. Return? Do you have to ask? ;)

No frills but really good stuff. There are two and only two truly respected Viet sandwich shops in Alhambra: ba le and mi tho. Ba le has the soft bread style sandwich with a dab of butter. Mi tho has the hard crust style with deeply roasted meat. Ba le is more commerical feeling and mi tho is like what you would get if your Vietnam vet uncle who has bounced from job to job the past twenty years, drinks a little too much, but is real fun to party with made the meat. This is where I go if I want a morning sandwich. Mi tho is where I go if I want an afternoon treat.

Woowee! I found a Banh Mi restaurant that actually knows how to make legit Vietnamese sandwiches. They dont cheat you on the meats and veggies or give you mostly bread. Eating their sandwiches does not leave a guilty and greasy feeling. I recommend their BBQ pork sandwiches or cold cuts. While youre at it, they have great Vietnamese iced coffee (sweet and strong). They accept CASH only.

Out of many Viennese sandwich shops in SGV, this is our go to place. BBQ pork, chicken and regular are our favorites. Other places offer buy 2 get one free deals. Ba Le doesnt need gimic like that. Very popular strip mall so parking is difficult. Come during non peak hours.

Banh mi is really good here if you get there when the bread is fresh! I have gone at later times and the bread is harder and a bit stale. Would defn recommend going at prime hours.

The difference between this spot and the competition (Bahn Mi) its the BBQ beef/pork sandwich which is very good. Parking is plenty and the prices are cheap of course.
