Wonderful customer service, all food excellent and freshly made. Food is delicious. Store and deli clean and tidy. Easy to find, limited street parking. Eating area available inside. Lots of Mediterranean products available for purchase, prices are reasonable. Handicap accessible, handicap parking available limited street parking. Handicap accessible entrance. Children welcome. Ive enjoyed eating at this place! The food is solid. But, darn it! I am sick at home and tried to place an order through Caviar this afternoon. An hour after the order is placed, we get a call saying that the delivery person arrived for pick up - but Zands is closed! They are listed as being open right now over here. I am so hungry and so disappointed.

Since I frequent the area very often, I really wanted to like the prepared food served here. I tried most of the dishes and found them universally disappointing. I would strongly recommend Jerusalem Kitchen at the top of Solano, which is both organic and much, much better tasting. I did like the bottled pomegranate paste for cooking, though.

I love this place. I lived in Albany for 14 years and this was one of my regular carryout spots. Im visiting the north Berkeley area and looking forward to the delicious tabouli and their eggplant dip to go along with my falafel and baklava.
