The pizzas here are definitely hit or miss. The past few times Ive been here the pizzas have been a bit on the bland side. They do have creative toppings and its great that they mix it up everyday, but then its also annoying that you cant go here anytime you want and get a pizza you know youd like. It is however, a good random way to increase your veggie intake. BUT if you are feeling carnivorous, you may have to take an extra side trip to your nearest Round Table or Rotten City Pizza since Arizmendi offers only veggie options. Ricotta, Wild Mushrooms, Toasted Almonds, Garlic Thyme Oil - didnt do it for me. You didnt taste much of the ricotta and the mushrooms were a bit overbearing. I hardly tasted anything else other than oily mushroom. Before going to this place you NEED to look at what they are serving that day. Go to their website to view the schedule to see if you like what they are going to offer. FYI - if you order a slice they usually give you a mini slice on the side

The service is excellent, because everyone there seems to know that I drink an Americano. The coffee cake is like something from a fairy tale, only instead of being a fairy tale its in the real world! The pizzas are always excellent and occasionally spiritually transformative. Sometimes, though, while in line for an afternoon coffee, I look at the chalk board at the weeks pizzas, and its Mushrooms, Mushrooms, Mushrooms, Mushrooms. Man, mushrooms are dumb! People just go nuts about mushrooms. I dont get it. Just because I dont eat meat doesnt mean I love mushrooms :-( Yeah, though, the good pizzas are great and the great pizzas are excellent. Once I was in here and two Lanesplitter employees came in. I recognized them by their flour-covered Lanesplitter T-shirts. I was like, "Yeah!" Thats how it is.

Havent had a bad pizza yet! Which is strange for me to say because I am a carnivore and all of the pizzas are vegetarian. Its like Cheese Board in that theres only one type of pizza a day (I guess theres also cheese pizza here), and you can choose to order by the slice, half pie, or full pie. The pizza here is just as good as the pizza at Cheese Board. Im convinced the reason why its not as popular is because unlike Cheese Board, there is no beer. But bring your own cup and get a quarter off their fresh coffee or tea! Also tried the cheesy scone, which is a like a huge cheddar biscuit! Will be back for more pizzas and pastries.

This is one great owner operated bakery and pizzeria. Baked goods and Pizza are made with organic flour and other organic ingredients. Everything is wonderful tasting and worth trying. They make one type of pizza today and theyre not your run-of-the-mill type of pizzas with some unique ingredients in flavored oils and just a wonderful chewy crust that make it a destination by itself. And the top it all off if you like to skateboard or watch people skateboard they have a wonderful skateboard course built behind the parking lot in back.

Im a huge fan of the Arizmendi cooperatives. They all offer top notch baked good and outstanding vegetarian pizza. Each location is a little different, but they all are amazing. The Emeryville location is bigger than some others (but not the largest), but theres not really any indoor seating. Theres a bit of a line, especially near lunch time, but it moves pretty quickly. As with other locations, the baked goods are awesome. I especially enjoy the cherry corn scones.

I love this place. Everything was tasty! The pizza, the cookies, the scones--even the coffee with the homemade carmel sauce is delicious. It is a wonder that I am not 100 lbs heavier for visiting 2x in one week. The ingredients are simple but seem to make for an amazing product. And the staff went out of their way to explain everything to me, they are some really rad folks! Its neat to see a cooperative business where the people really are cooperative!!!

They have a large parking lot next to the store, and theyre right on San Pablo so its easy to get there both by driving or by bus. They make slightly different things every day, so even if you go there every day it doesnt get boring. If you go there early in the morning they sell pizzas from the previous day for only $10 for a whole pizza. But they sell out of those quick.

Mind blowing baked goods everyday! Very creative and flavorful focaccias, pizzas, and sweet treats. Vegetarian and vegan friendly. Actually they dont have meat at all, but plenty of delicious options to keep an omnivore like me coming back. Menu changes daily. Get in earlier as they sell out of certain items fairly quickly.

My favorite place to kick back and kill time. The sourdough vegetarian pizza is always different and amazing. Incredible pastries. I personally love the fresh baked $1 shortbread cookies or cornbread blueberry muffins for dessert. As an aside, This place is a co-op and offers a number of discounts.

Of the three Arizmendi Bakeries I’ve been to (here, Sunset, and Mission) - this was the most well-stocked and friendliest. Lots of different pastries available - I picked up the cookie brittle, chocolate chip cookie, and a scone. Woman at the counter was efficient and friendly.

This bakery ranks high on my list as items are fresh everyday. Method here is to grab parchment paper and tray. For pizza just pay and wait for name to be call. Each slice is $2.75 cheaper to get whole pie for sharing. The coffee are Equator always hot and strong in a pump pot.

Great Pizza, very rich though. I like the other pastries they sell, too. Only drawback is the very limited seating, no comparison to Sliver or other similar options. But if you just want to take out a very tasty pizza with a somewhat different crust, thats the place to go.

CAN YOU SAY YUM?? Dont get me wrong, Im a big meat eater but the taste of Arizmendis veggie pizzas are AMAZING. You cant go wrong and youll feel much healthier! I would totally recommend it! The price is great! $10 for 4 slices, $5 for 2 slices. HOW CAN YOU BEAT THAT??

Blueberry corn muffins, chocolate things, delicious spicy hot chocolate, bread, local art, a great neighborhood billboard, this is NOT my favorite arizmendi as far as the pizza goes (I prefer lakeshore location) but all the employees are super friendly and happy.

Its a little TOO earthy and wholesomely collectivist of a bakery for my more pedestrian tastes. Nothing there is just plain ordinary in ingredients. But if you like something well made and slightly out of the ordinary, this bakery is for you.

Love this place. One of my favorites things to get is their iced coffee; its so good. I also think its so cute that they make their own dog treats. My brother loves their pizzas and my son loves their chocolate mint cookies.

The perfect place to grab some pizza and baked goods. This co-op is one of the treasures of the East Bay. They rotate the offerings daily and everything is super tasty and well priced. The staff is awesome too!

Closest thing to Cheeseboard that isnt Cheeseboard. Good selection of baked goods, coffee, and of course the daily rotating vegetarian pizza. A pretty good bet that itll taste good regardless of whats on it.
