I absolutely love this place! This place is simply amazing and it smells like heaven. I go in all the time and pick up individual treats for myself when I am in the area. Their products are always so fresh and tasty. I recently used them to do some cupcakes for my nieces bday. I ordered ,half a dozen, of their strawberry cupcakes with the champagne icing and. The icing was a bit stronger than I had even had it and caused it to be a bit bitter. Of course I was heartbroken about the ordeal, because again I love this place!!! It was the first time I had ever had a complaint about their product and I thought about not saying anything and not shopping their anymore. However, I did call and speak with the owner, who was horrified to hear about my experience. She explained that the flavoring for the icing was the primary culprit, and gave me a gift card to replace the products! This is hands down one of my favorite places in LR. Again great service and caring ownership have won my repeat business. Now I am beyond thrilled because I will have an assortment of cupcakes for my bday coming up soon, and I have no doubt that they will be absolutely fantastic! Again I really appreciate the owners and management of Cupcakes @ Kavanaugh! I am soooooo excited to pick up my order this weekend

This has some of the best looking cupcakes Ive ever seen, but the flavor is just so-so. The cuteness of the shop and the yummy appearance of the cupcakes sucked me in. I am a foodie and an avid baker and I have made plenty of cupcakes a million times better than these. Even the ones out of the box are better!! I have tried chocolate, oreo, vanilla, red velvet, and white chocolate and have been disappointed by all. The vanilla is actually the one I enjoyed the most out of all the unique flavors! Every cupcake Ive tried has been very bland with a very dense, dry, almost spongy/sticky texture; definitely not light and fluffy. The icing is piled on to make up for the bland flavor of the cake and is overly sweet. I like a lot of icing and I like it sweet, but these cupcakes just have too much overly sweet stuff piled on top of them. At $3 each, this is a huge rip off. The only nice thing about these, is that you can go get just one as opposed to the store or baking them yourself where you end up with a dozen you dont know what to do with.

Im sorry but If I could give zero stars I would. I brought 1 vanilla and 2 carrot and I can only speak for the vanilla but it was the absolute worst cake I have ever put in my mouth. It smelled like pure yeast and tasted like it too. Maybe it was just a bad day but I will never go back. Not to mention for 3 cupcakes was over $10. I am a cupcake fanatic so I know a good cupcake when I taste one. I vacation a lot and I try any cupcake place I see so I am well rounded in the cupcake industry. bye bye for ever.

The only good cupcake Ive had here would technically be a banana bread muffin with icing. The others were dried out and had minimal flavor. I was also disappointed by the service. The lady who "helped" me responded with condescension to any question I asked, and went promptly back to her cell phone before I had even finished signing for the purchase. Disappointing all around.

Id heard that this place was great. When I went I sampled three flavors to get a good idea of their cupcakes, and all where lacking flavor and moistness. I would not recommend this place to anyone. My own box-made cupcakes are much better than this place. The cupcakes tasted very dry and flavorless. Buy ones from the grocery store if you need some, not these!

I love cupcakes. When they opened years ago I excitedly bought half a dozen cupcakes with out question. I didnt like them and felt disappointed. I gave them to my friends dog, they would even eat them. True story, havent eaten them since. They must be a certain taste. Just not for me or my friends dogs I guess.

The icing is delicious, the shop is cute. Definitely could use more of a selection of flavors. The cupcakes themselves are lacking, they are very dry and do not transport well. Also, the staff could be friendlier. Will stick to B.S.B.S......

Just so-so, and even bordering bad :(. Very disappointed, considering I thought that a $4.00 cupcake would be fabulous. My kids didnt even finish them, which was a first for them. Save yourself the time and money and choose elsewhere.

My fave cupcakes (am so shocked by the earlier posts!) - Elvis is my fave. The cupcakes are just phenomenal - worth every cent! Yuuuuum!

The quality is excellent. Expect to pay 3 dollars a cupcake, which is well worth it if awesome cupcakes are what youre looking for.
