Delicious, artfully prepared and presented modern Southwestern - American cuisine served in a grand - yet - casual dining room festooned with art and antiques. The produce, meat and seafood are locally produced and sourced from organic farms. Breakfast and lunch service are a bit more casual, but dinner is when the Turquoise Room truly shines, becoming a fine dining landmark in Northern Arizona. I recommend the squash blossom fritters, filled with sweet corn masa and queso fresco and beer - battered in tempura and served with a tomatillo chimichurri and a roasted corn salsa. The prime rib is USDA - certified Black Angus and is remarkably tender and flavorful. The dessert menu features a spectacular chocolate - Grand Mariner soufflé for two and we also enjoyed a piquant apple - blackberry pie fragrant with vanilla, nutmeg and a little clove. The Turquoise Room is destination dining at its best. The service is top - notch and the atmosphere oozes with the rustic elegance of a bygone era with its Navajo rug tapestries, Mexican tin mirrors and stained glass. A truly wonderful restaurant. If one has time, La Posada hotel wherein the Turquoise Room is located is a fantastic place to stay. Winslow is lucky to have a place like this in town.

This is by far the nicest restaurant in all of Northern Arizona. The cuisine is excelled only by the culinary expertise of Chef John Sharpe and his kitchen staff. I, as a local, have made this my go to restaurant for all of my special occasions for many years now. Besides the original creations using local fare, they also have classic meals such as prime rib, which melts in your mouth. If you do go here, give yourself lots of extra time to walk around La Posada. The artworks and general ambiance of this original Last Great Railroad Hotel built (in 1929), is truly worth a look. The gardens are amazing and a wonderful way to relax after or before a wonderful meal. This is a 5 star PLUS location.

We had a fabulous meal in the beautiful Turquoise Room of La Posada Hotel in Winslow, AZ . I had their signature corn and black bean soup with cornbread, and both were the absolute best! The soup is served with one side of the bowl corn chowder and the other half a black bean puree. The cornbread was fabulous and had a honey and agave glaze. Delicious!! My husband had the steak lettuce cups, which were also excellent! The hotel is beautiful and has an extensive gift shop. The grounds are pretty and there are several whimsical sculptures. Do yourself a favor and dine here if youre anywhere near Winslow, AZ!!

The Turquoise Room Restaurant is a must when visiting the Southwest. Chef John Sharpes creations are unparalleled. Incorporating historical and regional fare (ie: Squash blossoms and churro) into the food, makes the experience truly unique. Located in La Posada, the restaurant is thick with atmosphere. Amtrak trains still rumble past into the sunset. A range of prices makes this gourmet tasting food accessible to all and the dining area is versatile enough to make the disheveled hiker and snappy businessman equally comfortable. Dont miss out on Winslows gem. This is well worth stopping on your I-40 journey.

I tried the hopi hummus with piki bead and loved it! Its not for the picky eater as piki does crumble as soon as you tear into it, its for the adventurous. The bison osso Busch is a must, very tender and moist! Truly amazing BBQ sauce on top and I will have again! My aunt had the curry lamb leg and it was great, spices were just right and the lamb was tender. She had hers cooked well done with mint sauce on side. Most people love to eat their lamb red but not us. Too full for desserts maybe next time and we had magaritas, it was an amazing dinner! Dont mind the prices it was worth it!

This would be a five star rating if it werent for the outrageous prices! We love La Posada and everytime we stay there we go to the bar (excellent atmosphere) and the Turquois room to eat. Dont get me wrong the food and drinks are EXCELLENT but times are tough and the prices are through the roof at the bar and the restaurant. We will go back again and again but wow $200 for my wife and I to eat and drink is a little off the charts. We do think Winslow is wonderful and full of history and we are die hard Route 66 roadies. We will be back on our travels. Also great service as usual!

My husband and I visited The Turquoise Room in October. We stayed at the hotel while hubby got to stand on the corner (huge Eagles fan)....I am still craving that amazing coffee and the Caesar Salad at dinner. Therefore, since it was that remarkable I decided I should leave a review. Dinner was great and so was breakfast. A couple will drop $100 for dinner but believe me, you wont be disappointed. I hate when we go somewhere and spend that for dinner and I leave annoyed because my husband says our cooking is better. Not the case here.

What a beautiful building with a lot to see. The food was unique and very good - the presentations were too pretty that you didnt want to eat them. I got their veggie option, which I dont normally do - they really used their imagination to create something great. All of the appetizers, other main course and desserts were great as well - too many options to try. Nice relaxing well decorated atmosphere. Plan to spend at least an hour more than you normally would for lunch or dinner so you can see their museum and gardens.

I have dined several times at the Turquoise Room and have never been disappointed! The flavors, the food, the service and the atmosphere make me always look forward to the next time that we can indulge! We are fortunate to only be an hour away and can dine there every chance we get! Its always a pleasure and all of the folks from Flagstaff I go with have a wonderful meal! Its always nice to stay at La Posada as well because the hotel is the culmination of the experience!

We moved to N. Arizona the same year the Turquoise Room opened for business and have been loyal and satisfied customers ever since. Driving one or two hours for a meal at the T.R. is routine for many northern and central Arizonans. We do! John and Patricia have created some high desert magic at their restaurant. If traveling through be sure to stay at the hotel to complete the experience. A rare gem in the modern American tourism landscape.

The one is for the service. Waited for five minutes before the waiter told us and the group ahead of us (not sure how long they have been waiting) that hed be right with us. Waited another five minutes before leaving. It would be understandable if the place was packed. There was three groups already seated so if there was only one server he should of been able to handle five tables. Im sure the food would have been good.

This place is way nicer than I expected. Its for sure the nicest thing I saw in Winslow. Large beautiful rooms, rolling gardens and parks, amazing hall ways and courtyards. The food is so good. Not normal good. Like scary good. As in Im scared i will drive back here one day just for the food. Great eats and atmosphere. Cant recommend enough.
