In a word: refreshing. Everything ordered was incredible from the tea to the combo entrees. E&O Kitchen has such a wonderful charm even without considering its history and family-run kitchen and staff. The food was amazing. I hate shredded beef but took a review on here to heart and got some shredded beef enchiladas, tacos, and tostadas, and I couldnt believe how good it was. Its very clear this menu has come from a respect for fresh, high quality ingredients and a keen sense for balancing plates, tastes, and portions. A very important side note: the staff here are probably some of the sweetest restaurant staff/owners Ive seen. It just about felt like we walked into their home and they invited us in for a homemade dinner. The male waiter was friendly, insightful, and competent. Made us feel very welcome and never showed even the slightest hint of impatience at questions about the menu or their business. I live an hour or two away from this place and Ive no doubt the trip would be worth it. Wouldnt even hesitate to make the trip down and spend some time here again. Its hard to find if youre not familiar with the area but do your best, its worth it!

This listing should actually be "E&O Kitchen." Oscar, the "O" in E & O, is the host and server pretty much every day, and once gave us a detailed treatise on the proper way to make Chile Rellenos. He is absolutely right, because their rellenos are exceptional--toothsome chiles with just the right amount of cheese and batter, with a slightly smoky flavor from charring the chiles. Everything on the menu is prepared in the homestyle way, with slow cooked beef, pork, and chicken as fillings for tacos, enchiladas, and gorditas that are unlike anything put out by a national chain. Just about everything is customizable to your personal tastes. Dont miss the salsa bar, which is somewhat hidden near the kitchen entrance. The caramelized onion and red chile salsa is my favorite. Open for lunch only.

Passed through Winslow while visiting the West on vacation. My friends and I wanted to experience some western Mexican food before leaving. Needless to say this food was much better than the local Mexican restaurants from back home. However, this food was also some of the best food Ive ever had, period. On top of this, the service was extremely nice and personable (a family owns this restaurant) and there was a complimentary salsa bar where you can try out some amazing different sauces and spices with your chips. I would highly recommend any passers-by to come here and try out this 5 star restaurant.

I spent two months in Tucson and had to find the best enchiladas half-way across the state as I was leaving. This place is a little hard to find out away from the rest of Winslow out at the airfield. Youll think you are lost but it is hiding behind the white hangar at the airport. Everything we ate there was great, from the enchiladas to the horchata. A must go to place while in Winslow.

My wife and I passed through Winslow at lunch time and saw this restaurant had some really good reviews. It is a little difficult to find (next door to the white hanger). Great food, huge portions and great pricing. Left very full and very satisfied. Get off the main path in Winslow and enjoy some wonderful Mexican food.

Lovely folks run the place! Open til 7pm and their tamales.. red porc, just terrific. Great beans, guac, etc. The only downfall is no beer.. as after a long day of flying and turbulence in the southwest, that would have been nice. Also very helpful with town info / shuttles there, etc.

E & O Kitchen is like a hidden gem of Winslow. It is the best Mexican food in Winslow, AZ. It is the kind of restaurant you would travel long distances just to eat at. Everything is always perfectly done. I highly suggest it.

Passing through and instead of traditionally putting in the pin it was a the tip but the owner instead it wasnt. Had to cancel and pay cash, the cashier seemed furious for trying to cheat my friend for his money

I lived in Winslow for 2 years and thus was the best restaurant in town. While it is out of the way on the airport grounds its worth the trip.

Best Mexican food south of the tracks, arguably the best in Winslow. I knew a pilot that would make a pit stop there just for the food.
