Back in the 1970s I used to make business trips to Winslow. Back then the Falcon was widely known to be the best eatery in town. My wife and I were staying in our RV at a State Park just out of town and decided to go to Winslow to do some shopping. On a fluke, we decided to give the Falcon Restaurant a try. We found the stop to be a very pleasant experience. The waitress was a young girl without a lot of experience but very competent with a nice genuine personality. She recommended the chicken fried steak special and we both complied. The steak was good with a liberal helping of white gravy but I really liked the chunky consistency of the mashed potatoes which had a nice home made quality, unlike the whipped potatoes most restaurants serve. As we were finishing, the owner came over to ask how we liked the meal. He seemed to genuinely appreciate our patronage. When I told him I used to eat here 40 years ago he gave us some interesting information on the original owners. We dont usually eat desert but when he started to describe how the homemade pies were made right there in their kitchen we couldnt resist. We shared a piece of tasty coconut cream with a flaky crust which was easily distinguishable from factory made. If you want a good meal with great service in a nostalgic atmosphere with reasonable pricing, I would certainly recommend a stop at the Falcon. You cant beat the value.

Ah yes, this said restraunt once I walked in reminded me of a restraunt out in middle of no where with the ocassional old man in the corner bar stool and a couple of passing truckers drinkin coffee silently then loudly complaining about their job. All that was missing was a waitress named flow with a smokers voice. All in all the food is decent the service is suspiciously always around when needed and at lunch its nice and quiet. The food came out quick and the "non flow" named waitress was well, tired so I can understand that.

I never leave reviews, but I had to so people can save themselves from this calamity! If I could leave zero stars I would!!! Sooo bad!!! We ordered tacos, they literally had a half of a hamburger patty in a shell that had puddles of grease under it. Im not super picky, especially with mexican food! However, I couldnt eat any of it. I paid the surprisingly high bill and left, just as hungry as when I came in. Do yourself a favor, and go to anywhere else in Winslow. Heck Dennys has to be way better than this!

We visited Winslow on March 19, 2016. This is a gem. Definitely wouldnt know that by the run down look, inside and out, but the food is on point. My boys, picky little eaters, ate their breakfast! That made this mommy happy. Sat in the corner booth. Great room for them to move about without distracting other patrons. Five of us and it wasnt that pricey either. Well be back this March! Side note, we are new to the whole sit yourself, so do that and get cozy with the locals!

I have to admit the Tacos were very delicious. I liked the flat meat Taco where you have a meat patty the size of the shell on one side and the vegetables on the other. And everyone in our group liked the main part of their meal but the sides where not good and left uneaten. I was disappointed that they did not have any lunch specials. The service was friendly BUT it was an hours from the time we sat to when we got our food. In my opinion that is to long of a wait for lunch.

The service was fine. Food looks good until you start to eat. The shredded chicken in my burrito tasted funny. It was oddly spicy and bland at the same time. My friends fajitas were good but only came with only one tortilla the size of a skillet. My husband got chicken with mashed potatoes. The potatoes were disgusting with bits of black potato rot in them and smothered in gravy whether you like it or not.

A step back in time to the Route 66 days with old style decor and music. Food portions are hearty, the staff was friendly, and the prices are reasonably. It was a good stop for local businesses.

Best french fries Ive had in a long time. Hamburgers are good, too. Biscuits and gravy a treat the. Really old school restaurant, with run down decor and booths, but a hidden gem of Winslow.

The red chili in huevos rancheros was bitter and nasty, had to send the eggs back 3 times and finally gave up due to eggs that were so underdone, they were inedible. Will never go back.
