People need to know that if you have a friend or family member or you yourself have difficulty walking there is no way for you to get into the dining area. !!! BASICALLY, IF YOU CANT DO STAIIRS, OR ARE IN A WHEELCHAIR AT ALL....YOU ARE OUT OF LUCK... MY MOTHER CAME TO VISIT AND SPEND $700 A NIGHT SWEET OVERLOOKING THE ENTIRE VALLEY YES VERY BEAUTIFUL HOWEVER DIFFICULTY WALKING THEY BROUGHT HER TO THE SIDE OF THE BUILDING AT 11 OCLOCK AT NIGHT BRING HER INTO THE RESTAURANT TO GET SOMETHING TO EAT FOR LATER I HOPE THEY FORGOT TO GET HER LEFT TO STAND OUTSIDE FOR 20 MINUTES IT WAS FREEZING COLD NOT MUCH OF AN APOLOGY! IF YOU WANT ANYTHING TO EAT AFTER THE BAR CLOSES YOU CAN GET THINGS ON A ROOM SERVICE MENU HOWEVER ZERO DESSERTS ARE AVAILABLE AFTER THE PASTRY CHEF LEAVES ! (AT ABOUT 8 PM) Nowhere AT ALL ANYWHERE IN THE RESORT PERIOD THERE IS NO LITTLE STORE NEARBY YOU WILL HAVE TO DRIVE THERE SO IF YOU ARE OUT OF TOWN YOU ARE OUT OF LUCK! YOU ARE AT THE MERCY OF THEIR IN ROOM REFRIGERATED BAR ( IF YOU GET ONE) HONESTLY I CAN SAY THAT THE HOUSEKEEPING DOES AN EXCELLENT JOB IN KEEPING THEIR ROOMS CLEAN. THEY ARE VERY VERY BASIC. VERY MINIMAL THE STAFF IS FRIENDLY IN THE RESTAURANT NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT AND THE HOUSEKEEPING CREW ARE KIND AND THEYRE VERY GOOD AT THEIR JOB. Im just saying if you want to have a nice room with beautiful yes its a beautiful view but you your shopping first dont do what my mom and sister did which was get a $700 a night room with a great View but no handicap accessibility or even difficulty walking accessibility anywhere on the property also if you want real glasses for your room you cant have them, only plastic and you only get one tiny firelight for your fireplace, no matches, and Boone to call and bring you any!!! So 0LEASE, honestly do your homework!! there are incredible VIEWS all OVER that area!!! dont get suckered!! go for a meal at the restaurant , YES..because the food is excellent, creative & fresh. The ambiance is wonderful and the restaurant manager as well as the servers, what professional friendly and absolutely knew their job! But PLEASE.... $700 a NIGHT FOR A " SUITE there? I dont think Ive ever given a bad review for ANY Resort.! I cannot be more angry and disappointed.

My family and I stayed at the sanctuary for one night on our way to Colorado. I have to say, being an avid traveler the service and hospitality at the resort was some of the best I have ever experienced. From our initial check in to a phone call after we checked out with a question regarding the bill, the professionalism and friendliness was over the top. The resort itself is beautiful and the room was spacious and grand with a beautiful view of Camelback mountain. The bellman who took us to and from our room, I believe his name was Brett, was so helpful and accommodating to our every need. He gave us and entire bag of waters to take to our room. When we checked out he walked around the room to make sure we didnt leave any chargers. We are at the bar restaurant which was good, but not over the top great. From what I understand the main restaurant is fabulous. We will absolutely be returning to this resort again to spend more time. Again, I was absolutely blown away by the hospitality and dedication to service by all the staff. Stayed December 2016, traveled with family

Not worth it!!! I have been to many spas in Scottsdale and this was the most disappointing one. My facialist smelt so bad of garlic I could not even enjoy my facial. I took my mother and aunt who are elderly and they had to walk up so many stairs to get to the pool and the hand railings are boiling hot from the sun it was quite dangerous for them. then the credit card we had for the spa on hold was not valid for the pool area for food or drinks so I had to go back to the spa to get my credit card. Thank god my mother and aunt did not go alone as I had to run down the stairs and back up from the spa locker. Oh then I forgot my key so had to do it all again. Other spas are digital lockers so no keys. The service at the pool was lovely but the view of camelback mountain and the infinity pool are ruined by ugly buildings. The set up of the spa is small and not what I expected. Very disappointing.

Appearances can be deceiving. This might possibly be one of the most unprofessional and most inconsiderate hotel staff I have ever experienced. after a 7 Hour Dr. from my road trip arriving to the Front desk where I was coldly greeted by an on a tent to and unwelcoming reservation team member. I was literally treated as though I were a person off the street and unable to check in as they were unwilling to accommodate me, after several miscommunications between the reservation Staff. I promised early check-in then upon arrival I was told very rudely told that I would be unable to check in. Not the best introduction to Arizonas "finest"

My wife and I spent a weekend at the Sanctuary and it was a fantastic experience. Everything about the resort creates a tranquil and happy vibe. Joe at the pool was awesome at making sure things were good for us. Evan the bell hop was an incredibly nice and helpful guy, and Matt at the front desk helped when we were reviewing our charge and needed explanation. It is a perfect place to visit to get away from the stress of your daily life, with its immense beauty, helpful staff, and high quality restaurant and spa services. We will be back, no question!

The resort is awesome, the rooms are great, and the food at their restaurant is also delicious; although the main reason to go to the restaurant is the view. Also the view in my room was great aside from at night time you could see a big red traffic light in the middle of the mountain, who puts that there? The city of Paradise Valley needs to remove that light it ruins the whole scenary. Oh and the reason this place does not get 5 stars is the price, the rooms here are crazy expensive like the cheapest room would be $400.00.

Weve stayed here a few times and the rooms are different every time we stay, they always feel new and modern. We stayed in a mountain casita and the room was elegant, modern and comfortable. The bathrooms are enormous with spacious free standing tubs. The room and hotel are elevated over paradise valley providing views of desert and mountains. Our room had a balcony and a fireplace and both a living room and a bedroom. The walls are thick and the room was very quiet.

I took my mother here for the Mothers Day brunch at the buffet, and honestly I have not had better food at a similar type of buffet style restaurant anywhere else. The service was phenomenal as well, the waitress would come at just the right time and the manager even came by a couple times. It was great, second year in a row weve been here for Mothers Day (its my moms favorite resort in the valley) and most likely will be back next year!
