Wonderful Crispy Crust!!! Based on a recommendation I stopped in at Ottos for pizza today. I arrived just as they opened and there were no other customers at that point. The young lady behind the counter greeted me with a smile as I entered. I could see Otto behind her by the oven, and was glad he was making my pizza today. There is no table service, so you order at the counter. I placed my order to eat there, and picked a table to sit at. My half Ottos Veggie and half Otto Philly pizza was brought to me fairly quickly, and it looked delicious! The toppings looked fresh, it was piping hot, and the pizza crust around the edges looked puffy, crisp and light. I decided to start with the Ottos Veggie side of the pizza. The crust was light and crisp and thin - even at the center of the pizza! I dont recall ever having a crust like it. It was delicious! Beyond the crust, the balance of toppings was perfect, and the flavor was wonderful. When I finally ate my way to the puffy crispy crust at the edge, it was marvelous. Thats the part I dont usually eat, but this was so good that I had to eat it. The Ottos Philly side of the pizza was just as good as the Veggie side, with a nice balance of toppings. By the time I was having my third slice, I noticed that there was a line of customers from the counter all the way back to the door. I had been so absorbed with my pizza that I hadnt noticed them. It was a good move to arrive when they first opened because there are only a few tables, and most everyone was eating there rather than ordering to go. With only Otto and one counter person working, I had to wait until everyone in line had placed their orders to be able to ask for a box to take the rest of my pizza with me. I think that the next time Ill ask to have it served in the box so that when Im ready to leave, Im all set and dont have to wait. All in all, I had a great lunch. Id like to try some of the other items on the menu.

After growing tired of Tessios pizza on University near Ash, I wanted to try something new. I saw Ottos near Casey Moores and decided to give it a shot. Not only was the pizza delicious, it is family owned and operated. I saw the owner and his daughter while in the shop...that is cool. And when you compare giving money to a national chain like Papa Johns to keeping our local stores open for business, I choose the latter. For New York style pizza near the Mill/University area, right next to Casey Moores, stop in to eat, or order a pizza to go. The dough was moist, yet crispy. The mozzarella tasted of high quality, the sauce was original, plenty of toppings (unlike Tessios pizza by Tops Liquers), and the price was really reasonable. Oreganos rocks, but when you dont want to deal with the wait, or their prices, try this place you wont be dissapointed. I ordered an extra large medallion pizza for pickup. I was pleasantly surprised, and will be going back here for pizza in the future. Thanks for a nice experience.

Ive been into Ottos Pizza & Pastry twice. Each time I ordered one slice of pizza and each time I waited up to 15-25 minutes. The first time they forgot that I ordered so I had to re-order and wait even longer. I went in there yesterday for the last time. although the pizza doesnt taste good as it is way to greasy and they use cheap ingredients. Its close to my work and I didnt want to go far . I walk in order one slice of pizza and sit down. I sat there for around 15 minutes while thinking how long does it take to get one slice of cheese pizza. I asked the waitress/cashier if it was done and she very rudely told me it was baking. then she walked into the back and immediately came out with the pizza already wrapped in aluminum foil. apparently the pizza had been done the whole time for some reason they had me waiting. I highly suggest no one wastes their time in this establishment as the food I have tasted isnt good and the service speaks for itself. If you have all evening to wait for one slice of cheese pizza be my guest.

I love this place. Just the right amount of everything on the pizza. And the crust tastes like a croissant. I have yet to try other items off the menu. I keep meaning to but the pizza is too good to want anything else. The reviewer named guijoerar must be comparing it to the Pizza Hut in his neighborhood! "Maybe they are for this area?? " Stupid we have Pizzeria Bianco in this town!! And I would put Otto’s just bellow them but without the 4 hour wait. You don’t have anything that compares in your precious SO CAl. Why don’t you go back and leave the pizza to us!

The pizza is definitely good....But the Xls pizza feeds only two people comfortably..In my opinion. Recommended pizza..."The Rainbow". The freshly cut vegetables seem to play a noticeably refreshing part in the crispiness of each bite. The delicious ham along with a few other top notch ingredients are a perfect combination to create a delightful treat; together with the thin crust, it all adds up to make a very unique and pleasent flavour assuring my return visit every time.

As some other reviewers have posted, this place is an excellent value. While there are no shortage of high-end pizzerias in the Phoenix area, Ottos makes fantastic pizza for the price. Its obvious they use only fresh ingredients, and a simple formula for great pie. I like this approach. Regardless of if anybody reading this decides to try Ottos, I know Ill be back :D

My husband and I live on Ash so we just walked down the street to try out the local pizza. We just ordered an extra large cheese pizza and it was wonderful. Tons of cheese and it isnt the cheap cheese like Costco uses. The right amount of sauce and the crust was tasty (I usually dont eat the crusts). My husband and I were ready to go back for more the next day!

My new favorite place when I want some comfort carbs/food! It was my first time here, the pizza was great and the spaghetti was to die for! I generally only eat homemade spaghetti and Im glad I took a chance with this place! The staff was very friendly as well!

Food was OK. Certainly better than the chains, but was not outstanding. The water served was not very good and in fact tasted dirty. Pizza crust was good, but the overall flavor of the pizza was a little on the salty side.

Service was awesome. We had a large group of 12 people, they were very accommodating. I am a stickler for food service, but the service at Ottos Pizza impressed me enough to write this review.

I love Otto Pizza. I have been coming here for over 10 years, and it is my favorite pizza slice in AZ. Thin, delicate flaky crust, a little greasy, and so delicious. The perfect slice.
