Two years ago, I probably would have rated this place 4 stars. My experience this past Tuesday was just awful. I used to be a regular at this location and enjoyed Cody and Kelly as the bartenders. Since then, I moved and am now closer to the Ahwatukee location. I though Id see how the Mill location was and brought my sister, her bf, and my bf there for some late night munchies and beer. I was embarassed. I talked so much about this place to my sister and service was terrible... Bar was busy, which is normal so we decided to sit in a booth in the bar area. No one greeted us. I suggested going to the bar to place our order. That took forever. I ordered a regular mojito and my bf ordered a rum and coke with a splash of lime juice. We can usually knock back a couple of those, but these were god-awful poured straight over ice and handed to us. My mojito was mostly rum and tasted bad. The coke in my bfs drink was flat and the lime juice tasted expired. We ordered pretzels. Bad decision. The kosher salt pretzels tasted like they poured the whole container of salt on top of them. My bf could make lines with all the extra salt that he tried to brush off. Tl;dr This location used to be awesome, my bf and I were served poorly made mixed drinks, and our pretzels were overly salted. I will no longer be visiting this location.

I went to the Mellow Mushroom for happy hour with my friends and had some of the best food I have had anywhere. The stuffed Portobello mushroom and three meatball platter was so divinely delicious, the food literally melted in your mouth. Obviously this restaurant understands how to mix ingredients correctly, as the combination of pungent and delicate flavors just married perfectly. The bartender was brilliant in explaining the types of beers most closely related to my palate, I was thrilled with his choices. He even let me taste the three selections to justify his theory. I will most definitely return to this place..oh and even more amazing is the fact they have TWO happy hours week days and a late night happy hour during the weekend. They also feature random fun specials throughout the week. This is my new "must go" place.

My husband and I went to Mellow Mushroom on Mill for the 2nd time using a Groupon, and brought our 19 month old daughter. She didnt want to sit in the highchair, and it was challenging to enjoy our dinner while wrangling our toddler. The manager (missed his name!) came over and brought some of the little plastic cups for dipping, and said they are a hit with kids (and they were...). The service was quick, which was important for us this time. The pretzels and pizza were great, of course, and when we left, the manager brought over a coupon for our next visit. I was relieved that the staff was so patient with our "situation" and kind enough to invite us back again. Great service, great food. We will definitely be back... but maybe leave the kiddo with Grandma :)

Im super bummed out. I was sooooo looking forward to trying this place out as Im relatively new to the area. My boyfriend and I had a Groupon for this place, so we ordered 2 full orders of buffalo wings for take out. Im a hot wing fanatic and its pretty hard to mess up hot wings yet this place figured out how to do it. I was expecting more especially for the price. I learned my lesson and we will not be returning. The wings were super soggy on the outside and dry on the inside, the ranch cups were only filled up half way, and there was more celery than wings lol. I really wanted to like this place but I just cant ...

Pizza was sub-par at best, yet would expect so much more when paying $20 for a medium mushroom pizza. The service clinched the fact that well never eat there again. It took our server 20 minutes on a relatively slow night to even acknowledge us and get our order. And from that point on, it was a waiting game to get everything from drinks and food to the check. At least youre entertained by all the roaches and drunks around you. Dont waste your time (as the total experience took 2.5 hours for a pizza and drink)...there are much better tasting and valued pizza places in the valley.

Absolutely terrible service, waitress was extremely condescending towards my child. She spilled her drink cause she dropped it trying to grab it and the waitress didnt even offer to help clean it up. Instead she chose to bring another one and say "lets try and keep the lid on it this time." Needless to say she received no tip and a lovely note accompanied with the receipt commenting on her poor service and attitude. Also the food was overpriced for what it was. I would not recommend this place to anyone for either food quality or service.

We loved it!!! We had the Holy Shiitake pie and it was outstanding. We live in Los Angeles where a large percentage of servers are want to be actors and/or writers and often times are rude. Dante was our server and we thought maybe he was the owner but he wasnt. He was professional, fun, courteous and appeared as though he was enjoying his job. On our way to the car I turned around and went back to the restaurant to thank him for making our experience so pleasant on top of the great food which is rare to never living in LA.

Really polite and "cool" staff (its near the college, so they have to be cool!), decent service, and great food. I enjoyed the selection, and the way that its different. You can sign up for their club on the website and get a free appetizer, too (until they stop doing that promo, that is)! Fun atmosphere, the pizza is great, appetizers are great. The only thing I would change would be the prices, but for being on this part of Mill, the prices are typical.

Amazing Food and awesome location on Mill. They have an outdoor patio that is great for people watching on the weekends and a fun spot for lunch during the week. Billy, who is the manager, is always on the floor right next to his staff and when things get busy, youll see him serving food, making drinks & literally hand tossing pizza dough in the kitchen! If you havent seen someone hand toss pizza dough, go see Billy JUST for that!

It’s hard for me to give bad reviews, but I have to. The experience was just not good. The pizza we ordered had a hair and when the server opened the box to show us the pizza noticed it but tried to play it off as if they did not see it. We did get a new pizza but we had to fight for something that should had been automatic. They only reason they are getting two stars is because of the beer selection.

It is so hard to find a place that makes vegan pizza, so when I found out Mellow Mushroom had vegan options I headed right over! I had a vegan "cheese" pizza with tofu and it was amazing! The crust was perfect, the sauce was delicious, and I was a happy camper! Very chill atmosphere, tons of beer on tap. I recommend to everyone!!! (Ive also had MMs nonvegan pizza in Alabama and it was delicious also!!!)
