The Pants is quirky and fun! Come for the entertaining and hilarious decor and youll stay for the wings (grilled is the best) and burgers. Ive been going to Monkey Pants since it opened, what, like 12 years ago and just love it every time. They always have a special going on, great menu with something for everyone, a lot of different areas (a big bar to mosey up to, an upper deck full of cozy booths, a stage for karaoke or relaxing on comfy couch living room set, the perfect-for-fantasy-football-draft-parties dining area, the pool tables and even the spacious patio). Call it a dive bar if you want (its all that, but with better atmosphere, ecoutrements, staff and food). Call it a sports bar if you want (if your sports bars come equipped with board games, free popcorn and comedy and karaoke nights). And call it you home away from home if you want, too (I have, made some great friends and had more fun than I deserve).

My fiance and I thought it be a good idea to go ahead and go here since it had good reviews. Well needless to say we got there and it took about 5 min for this girl to order our drinks. Then another 5 minutes to get them. After we got our drinks a party of 5 sat down next to us. The girl went ahead and grabbed their drinks after checking their ideas, and let me say she was even rude to them. At one point they even talked about leaving. After she brought them their drinks she went ahead and took their order and passed us by not even asking us if we were ready to order. She never came back to us, so we took our drinks to her and told her we wanted to close our tab. SHE WAS HORRIBLE.

I was here awhile back. I had an awesome happy hour and the service was pretty decent for a dive bar (which is why I am back again). I went there last night and it was pretty much empty (with the exceptions of a few regulars). The service was extremely slow, there was one person working. They dont have much of a domestic beer selection. They raised the price of the drinks and shorten the time of happy hour. The music was so loud that you had yell to be heard by someone sitting next to you. Suggestion: if you are going to raise the prices, make sure the level of service goes with it.

No other place like it! A Tempe, Arizona fixture, Monkey Pants is a must to visit for the chicken wings, or at the least an imbibing session in a no fuss and most definately fun and funky atmosphere. Their sound system for karaoke is the best I have heard anywhere in the phoenix area, and I am not afraid to say I am a Karaoke junkie! I have been going back there everytime I come to town, and I see the same people working there still! Great service everytime!

I have had great service at this location many times. I am a regular. However, the last two times I showed up the service has been disappointing with my last few experiences with Melanie (the bartender). I will not be going to Monkey Pants again. Erica & Lindsey (who I havent seen in a while) are by far the coolest. I hate to see this place go, but I refuse to go to a bar where I tip & spend money & not feel welcomed.

We walked three miles down Mill Ave to eat and hang out here. Worth it! Although I felt blind when we first entered hahaha it is DARK inside. They have ShockTop on draft which is nice. The burgers are really good. I had the New Mexico and my friends got the Tennessee. All were great! Played some quick pool - great little bar. We had a good time here.

Nice dive bar. inexpensive brews, plus close proximity to 2 more dives, so it makes for part of a great evening of bar hopping on foot. Make sure to be there at 1AM and you can see a bunch of drunken dudes stripping their shirts off - all of course hoping some sloppy drunk woman will join them and do a shot for only $1!

Nice little hole in the wall to grab a beer and wings (main thing I go for) service is a hit or miss sometimes they are good other times it seems like they hate there job, nonetheless I come back for the wings, beer is most times flat but when you mention something they arent discouraged to correct it.

Living near here for 4 years put a serious dent in my liver and impressed upon my heart. This will always be one of my favorite watering holes. The amazing leg lamp from a Christmas Carol, the hilarious stand-up, the fish races, the amazing staff and the crowd all add up to something out of cheers.

Typical dive bar atmosphere. Pretty clean place, about 10 beers on tap with several craft selections. Apparently the wives are really good, and they have a ton of burgers to choose from. The bartenders are nice and welcoming; very easy to chat up. Was surprised last time by the shirtless shot.

We really liked it, food and service were excellent. I loved the buffalo salad and my boyfriend liked his tereyaki chicken sandwich and of course the beers, prices very reasonable, good music and environment. The only reason Im giving 4 stars is because women restrooms were very dirty

Rude server. I came here for my 21st birthday and the server was incredibly rude. I asked him about mustache Monday and he responded with "what about it?" I was really excited when I heard about the place but I will never come here again, nor would I recommend else to.

Quirky dive bar with friendly staff and the second best burgers you can find in Tempe. and they have big red Cream soda, one of the only places i can find that anymore. The fries are fresh cut, and they have lots to do (pool, darts, and boardgames)

Monkey pants is an awesome dive bar with unconventional karaoke and Erika is the best bartender EVER! Theyre staff is awesome and will take care of you. Plus its the home of the shirtless shots! 1 am free shots to whoever takes their shirt off!

Monkey Pants was a great Tuesday night. It wasnt crowded, totally laid back. The grilled wings were really good with the chinese style sauce. Pool tables were a little worn out, but when you suck, who cares?

Its a laid back & chill quirky bar. Red walls and couches give it a cool vibe. Great burgers, theyre named after states. I stick with the Arizona and Iowa burgers.
