This grill needs to shape up!! Firstly, I dont want to walk into a restaurant and see a huge sign that asks me to purchase a franchise. No dude, I DO NOT! want to buy a franchise - I dont want to be greeted with a "Hi, welcome to Genghis, want to buy a franchise?". So we were seated, and I used the womens bathroom that not only had neither ac nor ventilation, it also had no toilet paper! The floor was sticky, the seat looked so sticky and was encrusted with feces and the only other guess I could make out to be vomit, there were no seat covers and the stall had a changing table with feces all over it.The toilet was even worse! I ran out of that place like it was inflicted with Bubonic Plague! When it came time to pay my bill of $10.92, I paid with a $20 and got back $6. SERIOUSLY! Can you really not do the correct math and give me the correct change? I was the only person at my table, the only one paying with cash! I will attend this Genghis Grill when all the other stores in Tempe Marketplace have shut down because the Salt River has flooded it. NEVER! I hope because of this review - you take a second and choose another restaurant in the area. BOO on Genghis Grill of Tempe!

My friends and I came up from Tucson for an event, and we were really excited to come here since the location back home closed. Wed had nothing but good experiences there! Which, unfortunately, made this one absolutely terrible. It didnt take too long to be seated, we were expecting to wait since it was a Saturday night. Probably the only thing I have decent to say about this time. The waitress was very negligent. She would get one person a drink yet didnt bother with the other people with empty glasses. We had to call her over for assistance because she didnt check with us at all really. It was worse because for the entirety of the time she was sitting down talking to her co-worker 10 feet from us instead of helping her tables. And then there was issues with the actual food. Our food was out within 5 minutes. (I literally went to the bathroom and came out, and the food was waiting). My friend didnt get the requested eggs shed told the cook 3 times she wanted, and the food was very undercooked. Another guests noodles were quite hard and they were udon noodles. I can safely say I will never patron this location again and Im urging everyone I know to do the same.

My experience here was incredible. Tylah - the hostess - was impeccable and made not only myself, but my father and his husband, return customers. She went so far above and beyond to help me and I was so extremely impressed with her service. I wasnt sure if, as a vegan, Id be able to eat here and Tylah insured I was armed with knowledge before being seated. I wish she could have been our server also because she was friendly, helpful, kind, and overall just down-to-earth goodness! FYI: There are numerous vegan options - just ask about the sauces because they were all mixed up when I went (some contain honey). If youre a vegan that doesnt mind your food being cooked on the same surface as omni food then I definitely recommend. Be sure to let the hostess know your dietary restrictions so they can get you a different card then those on the table. I will definitely be returning, thank you so much Tylah!!!!!!

Always fresh veggies cut daily (carrots, bean sprouts, onions, snap peas, the choice is endless), protiens( several choices of beef, pork, chicken and seafood all seasoned, marinated in different Asian blends and plain), they also offer a variety of different Asian spices and seasoning, sauces, toppings and you fill the bowl of your choice and price range on your own as much as you can fit. There are people there to guide you through if you have questions about anything, and they are more than happy to help. After you like it up, you then pass it to one of the cooks which is where they let you choose your starch and they cook it up on a huge round grill in the middle of the kitchen as you watch. A very entertaining site to see. Then off to your table where you are taken care of by an actual server and a full service restaurant and bar. Its great and pleasant atmosphere.

Came here to eat with my girlfriend. We ordered food and sat near the bar. Our server came to our table with his fingers covered in rings which I dont see as appropriate work attire. Our server stood behind the bar and ate food of his own about 10 feet away from me, and casually gazes out upon the restaurant as he shoves food in his mouth. He then sets the bowl down walks to the kitchen and retrieves my food and drops it off. Never did he clean his hands or apologize for eating in front me. Meanwhile his colleagues are drinking out of cups with no lids and throwing them around, coughing without there mouths covered and then just delivering food to tables. I have no clue how prior health inspections have been passed. The food is always great, but the service is sub par to say the least. Hopefully ownership or management takes control of this situation.

The idea of building your own stir fry is a cool and fun concept. I like the experience of picking your own things and handing it to the chef. There are lots of options too. Service was great as well, both from the servers and the chefs. No complaints there. However, what left bad impression on me was that some of the veggies to select for the stir fry were frozen! Not everything, just some items. I actually chose a couple of the frozen items and after my bowl had been cooked and brought to my table, guess what....the veggies were still cold while everything else was hot! I had to send it back to be cooked again. Keep in mind your paying around $13 for a bowl here. Thats a lot to pay for food that was once frozen. I lost some trust in the quality of everything else that is served.

I used to go to the one in Tucson a lot before it closed down, so I have been wanting to go back for a while. This Genghis Grill was definitely as good as I remember. There is a wide selection of meats, veggies and sauces to add to your bowl that you can craft in the combination that most pleases you! My friend actually ordered a burger off the menu, and that was also just as good. We also ordered dessert (cookie butter wontons), which was just as good, if not better than dessert we could get next door at Coldstone. I ordered a regular bowl for $13 and while some may consider that pricey, it easily provided enough for 3 meals, making the portion to price value really good. Overall, I highly recommend for the high customability available, along with the very good serving sizes

This restaurant is located in the Tempe Marketplace. After youre seated and have the basics explained by a server, you take your card to the food line and make your selections of which there are many. I was impressed with the variety of meats prepared in different styles. There are three sizes of bowl to choose from, and plenty of meats and veggies to fill it. Also there are various seasonings and oils. Depending on the size bowl youll get one to three sides of rice or noodles or what not. These actually come in your bowl when it is delivered to your table. Overall, it is kind of a strange way to order the food, but it was quite tasty, and I will return. My only issue is the cost which was kind of on the high side. Expect to pay no less that $15 for a meal.
