Once again, other google reviewers fail. That, and its good to keep in mind that most people in Scottsdale dont realize they have bad service cause they are used to it. Beyond the bad service, this place was awful in every way. Went for a work/lunch outing. The person who set it up was rather embarrassed. Service was VERY slow. Was 30 minutes just to get our drinks. My martini which I ordered dry and dirty came with no olives but had some flakes/pieces of olives in it. When I asked where the olives were, they server looked pretty annoyed and came back with 2 tiny olives on a stick and plopped them in my drink. Nice. I ordered a taco salad which was 90% iceberg lettuce, some ground beef, sour cream and salsa with stale chips. That was it. Not even olives. I think I found one or two pieces of onion. Others in group complained of soggy french fries and bread and just all around bad tasting food which took a good hour to get to our table. We all asked for second drinks as well, none of which ever showed up. 2 hours later we left to go the game and the Salt River Flats via their buss service. Which btw - is a waste of time. Do yourself a favor and walk. Even if you are 70 yrs old and going at a snails pace, you will beat the buss by 30 minutes or more. One more thing, although kind of amusing was also tacky: The bathroom walls had sports newspapers posted above urinals that clearly had double meanings: "Keeping Rockets relevant boosts Harden MVP case" Really? Cute. But maybe work on your terrible food and service issues first.

I was so surprised to see the bad experiences others had at Zipps. I love this place and have been coming here maybe twice a month for a few years now for a burger & fries. Ive always had good food. The service is good most of the time but I think Zipps must have a lot of turnover because theres almost always a new server. That might account for sometimes slow or inconsistent service. Also, Zipps is very busy whenever there is a major ballgame. On the whole, however, I have to say that I am happy with Zipps and will continue going there for a great burger and fries. Theres nowhere else nearby that I know where you can get such a good burger.

Have been to this location many times but only once in the last month. Bar service is usually 4 to 5 star. Table service is 2 to 3 star. Draft beer selection is limited but prices are great for old standards. They are usually good about turning the tv to the game you want to see relatively close to where you are sitting. Food is 3 star with big variation in quality. Poor and borderline rude table service led us to try other sports-themed bars near this area and I doubt we will come here much any more, even though it is within walking distance. In sum, not bad, not great. There are better options.

REVISED: Taken from another review below that matched my experience- I ordered a taco salad which was 90% iceberg lettuce, some (room temperature) ground beef, sour cream and salsa with stale chips. (And cheap, unmelted cheese sprinkled on top.) Always very friendly employees, Only area I always think they can improve on is their beer selection. Not bad, but none of my personal favorites.

This is a sports bar, old school. Cold domestic beers (some Mexican), really good burgers with fries or rings, chili, chicken tenders, etc. and lots of TVs playing sports, long wraparound bar, and outdoor patio, with very friendly young ladies tending bar and serving. Good neighborhood feel, with lots of "regulars".

Great wings! Love the atmosphere- such a fun place to go to watch any sports games. Service is friendly, sometimes can be too crowded for my taste. Reasonable prices on food and drinks. Watch for weekly specials. Try this if you havent- definitely one of the better dive bars.

Such a great Sports bar. Exceptional bar food at a price well below the Scottsdale norm. Im a regular and appreciate the local ownership. Who doesnt appreciate a domestic ICE COLD 32OZ BEER FOR $5.50 !?!? If it was public I would buy stock.

A couple of slices and soda doesnt break the bank (although the soda price is a bit high). If you get the frys with what ever you order, they are really good, shoe string type, not over cooked and seasoned pretty well.

Friendly bar staff! Comfortable, easy-going atmosphere. Could enhance their wine selection, but still satisfied with the glass of wine I chose (1 of 3 selections). Overall, great experience!

Great atmosphere good food and screens every where. Its a kind of place where you want to meet friends to watch a game or for a quick lunch. Its not very new so it may feel a bit dated.

The wings for happy hour are a great choice! Every time Ive gone there hasnt been a wait which is always nice. If you want a quick happy hour, I would say this is a good choice.

We always bring a big group with no notice and they always have a table and service is usually good. Its a great place to unwind with friends especially if your a sports fan

Ah Zipps. Nothing like a pitcher of lagunitas and a foccias while you play some pool and watch the game. Ive been coming here for years and never had a bad experience.

Love the chicken Monaco and Cajun chicken sammich...service at this one can be a bit slow at lunch but the food is yummy... They shouldnt charge for extra ranch ...
