The food was decent but I had a really bad experience. Went there by myself to have a dinner one night. The server did not seat me and asked me to pick my seat. Another server came and questioned me that I should have waited to be assigned a seat. WTF. Ordered the food and waited for 33 mins before the food showed up. Remember I was dining by myself. How much food could I have possibly ordered. I asked the server about the wait. She never even apologized to me. The rice that was brought out was cold. Entree was decent. This is something I got a feeling for a couple of times I have been there now. If you are Asian, good luck with getting the servers attention. They take you for granted and give you attention only after all their nice talk with guests of other nationality. So obvious and so unfair. Not going back there. Period.

Ive eaten at this restaurant for lunch several times, and I really enjoy it. I almost didnt give it five stars because Ive had better, but I dont know that Ive had better in Phoenix. Its pretty good. And they have a lower priced lunch menu, which I appreciate. The atmosphere is very nice. The service has always been very friendly, and I have never had a problem with slow service. Ive been in and out for my lunch hour several times. Some of these negative reviews look suspicious to me. I wouldnt trust them. This is a good place. Oh, and the chai tea, which is awesome, is free. If you get take out and you ask for it, they will even give you a take out cup full of it. For free. I love this place.

I went to this place for the first time since i had the craving to eat the lamb chops and to be honest they were way below par and highly priced only 3 cheap and low quality pieces of meat for $12. That is actually a highway robbery. The chicken tikka masala was one of the worst i have ever eaten. i have eaten food right from new york to california and this is the worst chicken tikka i ever had. As usual the service in Indian restaurent is sluggish and they make u feel that they are doing u a favor by serving so called indian food. Indian food is my favorite though but this is not the restaurent to go and spend ur hard earned dollars.

Just been to the restaurant (I am on business from the UK so was on my own). The food was great, as good as many Indian restaurants back home, and better than some! (Indian food is officially the national cuisine of the UK - so a good bench mark:). The staff were very helpful and my food didnt take long to arrive, not that I was in a rush. It all tasted good and fresh. The only caveat is that I went on Sunday night, and the place wasnt busy at all - so maybe standards drop when the staff are pushed? I would certainly go again and recommend it.

I would strongly disagree with the bad reviews and highly recommend this restaurant. In fact, it has a strong Easternern Indian patronage everytime we are there, which I would doubt would be the case if it were "fake Indian food", as the review below says. Weve enjoyed every meal weve had at Tandoori Times, and the belly dancers make it really fun on weekends. We are looking forward to its impending move to Scottsdale, which will be much closer for us.

I love this place! The food is wonderful and if you want it spicier you can have it. My only bad comment is when it first opened at its Hayden location they served bigger servings of salad and lentils with their lunch specials. I was there today and these servings were skimpy. NOW they have changed to a buffet and its more expensive, rice pudding is runny, very little meat in the meat dishes. Food is still very tasty.

We went to this restaurant for dinner. The waiter seemed nice and helpful. The food was okay, but I was shocked upon receiving the bill that we had been charged for both bread and rice. None of it was included in the entree price. How are you supposed to eat a curry with no rice or anything? It made for an expensive meal.

Terrible Terrible!!! Went her last week. Food was stale and old. Tasted terrible. Told the server. He ignored my comment. I think he went to the owner and he ignored it. I have been coming here and have good experiences before. Very sad state of affairs. No apology , no credit no discount offered. Avoid at all costs!!

Live bug in sauce I saw a bug crawling in Green sauce which I already put it in my food. When I reported it to waiter there she just disappeared with the sauce. No one came to my table for 10 minutes and I had to call waiter to replace my food with bug infected food after 10 minutes. Worst experience ever.

Indian food is known for its spice, so the biggest disappointment is that the food was so bland. The best part of our meal was the garlic naan. I had the chicken vindaloo which is supposed to be a spicy dish. Maybe someone who has never tried Indian food before would enjoy this place.

Paneer is delicious but the buffet left much to be desired. They did not have popular dishes like chicken tikki masala because "it would be to popular". Buffet was $18 after tax! Also had to seat myself and get my own water. Yummy food does not make up for service and selection

Dont be mislead by the name. This is not a tandoori place. The chicken is not grilled in a Tandoor at all. I believe it is probably baked in an oven. Limited choice. Food is a 3 out of 10. Service is good ..Thanks to the servers. Not my first choice or indian tandoori food.

Ive been to the Tandoori times for dinner many times, and enjoyed some of the best Indian food I have had in the valley. I tried them for lunch just once and left an hour and a half later still waiting for my food. Apprently, the conept of lunch hour was lost on them!

Had been going here for years but the last visit I found that the quality and service has gone down hill. Menu and food has changed drastically and is not the quality it used to be. Took 40 minutes to get my check while the waiter gave dollars to the belly dancer.

This place is fantastic, and your never gonna believe this... The buffet is amazing! Everything is made fresh daily and each day is a different line up. They do Vindaloo on Saturday! The naans are perfect. Everything a serious Indian cuisine lover would want .

Great food, service is hit and miss. I like all the dishes I have tried here. I would give 5 starts but I find the service to vary greatly. Some days its quick, some days take forever. Best to give yourself plenty of time when you go here.

Went there with the family last week. Like there weekend lunch special which has two indian curries with Naan and rice. I ordered some more nans. Impressed with the food quality at the price they are offering. Service was quick and prompt.

Poor service, each time the lady came to clean our table she kept dropping spoons, forks.. Ultimate was dropping a glass of water on the main course plate.. Place is full of flies and the response to it "we know but we cannot do anything"
