The place has a nice look and has a great name and logo...so we gave it a try...and an hour or so later we regretted this decision. We waited about an hour for our food and appetizer... which all arrived at the same time. I think the waitress was new...maybe had a difficult time ordering our food...and forgot my husbands iced tea...whoops! We laid into our brussel sprout appetizer with gusto. The egg on top of the brussel sprouts was a little odd....but Im willing to move on to our meal...Regarding my salad..the vinaigrette was horrid....the salad mix looked wonderful and had I had another choice of dressing I would have eaten it all..but alas the vinaigrette ruined it for me. It was oily and chunky at the same time. Blah! My sandwich was decent...I was pleased with the amount of meat on it and the bread was tasty. All was okay until I took a bite out of the pickle...and immediately spit it out on my plate. I lost my appetite after that. My husband said his reuben was ok..but he only ate half of it...which leads me to believe it was not so great. He did share a fry with me...which was soggy and not cooked enough. I think the Pig and Pickle has great potential....but needs to quality check a few things...and perhaps add another dressing choice.

Note: must like pickles or really good drinks Basically they are a bar with several really good bartenders who have unusually wide breath of liqueurs to choose from. I went with a buddy (George Meyers, AKA "Da MAN en da No") who knows these types of unusually awesome places and was pointed in the direction of a Irish whiskey I had never heard of and am now destined to buy stock in, Green Spot! Remember that Whiskey, Green Spot. YOU WILL LOVE IT! before the Green Spot, I tried several other drinks which where all awesome, I cant remember their names because after four or five of them I have my first shot of Green Spot and that was all she wrote. I now am regularly purchasing all that I can get my hands on. Oh yeah the food. It was the best pickled EVERYTHING I have ever had. Even the odd pink pickled hard boiled eggs were good. Weird but good. Stop by the Pig and ask for a shot of Green Spot. Then try some pickled anything. Because the pickle everything.

We went here after reading the raving reviews, but our experience fell short. We ordered the pork shoulder tostadas, as they read really well on the menu. The kimchi had no flavor other than the copious amounts of salt they added. The pork shoulder itself was great, but we could barely eat this dish because how salty the kimchi and tostada were together. We also ordered the marrow and prosciutto salad, both of which left more to be desired. The pork belly with sweet potatoes and plum sauce was the only dish we ordered that we enjoyed. It had great flavor and everything was cooked well. We decided on not ordering any of the +$20 entrees after 3/4 of the food we ordered didnt seem like what we were looking for. Im not sure if the reviews gave us really high expectations or if we just ordered all of the wrong things, but after making my girlfriend sick to her stomach all night, I cant say wed return.

I was in the hospitality industry for over 20+ years in the BOH and we went in for brunch as we heard this place was very good. I was very disappointed, it was completely opposite. Lamar, our server was very non-attentive, he took our food order and we never heard from him again, until the check arrived. He just dropped the check and we barley got a thank you. We had to flag other servers to get items for our meal. The food was disgusting, I ordered the classic and the bacon was over cooked and was in crumbs on the plate, not strips of bacon, but crumbs. Like someone scrapped the bacon pan for the bottom pieces and served them to me. The hash browns were about the same, very greasy like they were deep fried. I was very disappointed in the quality of the food and the service. I did however enjoy the decor and the culture, but that is not enough to bring me back.

Great atmosphere, excellent food, and the service was outstanding. The menu is creative and I love that they “support local farmers and happy animals”. They have a lot of very creative craft cocktails to choose from, but we stuck with some of our old favorites. I enjoyed the ‘custom grind’ burger with some of the most delicious French fries I’ve eaten in my entire life, along what appeared to be homemade ketchup. My companion went gaga for the Cuban Pickle Crisis – their take on a barbecue sammy - with homemade tater tots. And can we talk about the tater tots for a minute? They are more like potato croquettes, little deep fried pillows of potato with a twist. Apparently every day they have a new creation and on the day of our visit it was cheddar and sausage. We were much too full for dessert but will definitely be back!

We had a WONDERFUL time yesturday afternoon. Only wish it could be under better circumstances. As a family we were celebrating a family members death. He was a great man. He will be greatly missed by all. Sorry, I got off track. The food was outstanding. Staff was top grade. We were taken very well care off. Drinks were rather limited (non alcoholic that is) but that a rather minor thing. Prices werent bad either. Only very minor problem I had was the music was to loud. I had a difficult time hearing my sis hubby sitting right next to ma. Will absolutely recommend this establishment to any one. Good time was had by all. Im sorry I dont recall the staffs names,.but they were excellent.

I LOVE Pig and Pickle. Dont miss happy hour, they have killer specials. The food quality is always top notch and worth the price. We have been coming here since they opened and I love that they always change the menu based on availability of ingredients. I also love a quality mixed drink and Pig and Pickle uses only the best, classic ingredients in their drinks, no corn syrup or sour mix here! Also, you could travel the world and try every burger in your path, and you will never find a burger better than the Apocalypse Sow. The best

Pig & Pickle is a very interesting place, its hard to corner it into one type of food. They have a lot of meat, but my vegetarian friend tells me they have good vegetarian food as well. They have a lot of interesting drinks (local beers, mixed drinks) and almost all of their food is local, because of this its a bit expensive. Im giving it 4 stars because the menu is a little difficult to read; the formatting could be better. The menu is a minor thing, I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Pig & Pickle to anyone.

Stopped in to see a long time friend and have some drinks. The Jack More-mon was delicious and on hapoy hour. The smoked salmon appetizer came out as a heap of perfectly smoked salmon on a patato cake. The salmon melted in my mouth. We also got the macaroni and cheese and it was to die for. It came bubbling in a miniature skillet, with a crispy top and cheesy gooey center. The noodles were perfect, not too hard or soft. Excellent food and are vice every time. Ill be back!
