Came in on a Friday evening and it was busy, but no wait for a table for my group of 4. We werent that hungry so mainly got appetizers and beer. After taking our initial beer and food order, our server didnt come to our table for at least 30 minutes, not even to bring us any additional water or ask if we wanted another round of our clearly empty beers. Food was okay, I tasted the hummus plate (tons of hummus, not so much pita, and they charge to bring you extra pita) and the poutiney fries (pretty good, thick brown gravy instead of traditional poutine gravy). The saving grace was the beer, McFate Pale Oat Pale, McFate American Pale Ale, and Berlemoner Weisse were all excellent, Buena Vista Blonde okay, just not my style. Id recommend the beer, not sure about staying for a meal.

The wife and I decided to come to McFate for lunch today mostly to try the Oatchata milk beer I saw on their Facebook page. We only had a small one of those via a flight, it was great just wasnt really going to go with what we planned to eat. I had the fire burger and my wife had the ahi Asia salad. I loved my burger, it wasnt like a big beef patty I could make rare but it still tasted good and I loved the sauce. My wife said she loved her salad, it wasnt drenched in sauce and didnt feel heavy. For pints I had the false promises IPA which I enjoyed strong but light going down and my wife had the fruity mcpunch which was pretty darn good. Nailed the taste they were going for. Also we loved how they were playing reggae while we enjoyed lunch.

I came to this brewery expecting a hefty sampling of a variety of delicious brews. We arrived, were promptly seated on the attractive patio, and perused the list of crafted beers. Settling on a crisp American ale, my party and I requested a pitcher. What we heard next was confounding; they didnt offer pitchers because, in the words of our server; "it ruined the flavor". This immediately ruined my experience. As an experienced alcoholic, I expect to come to a brewery and get tanked as quickly as possible. They felt it their right to deprive me the freedomofchoice I am guaranteed as an American, because apparently only pints taste good. I find this treatment unacceptable, and suggest every likeminded.boosehound avoid this establishment.

Great craft beer & food, noisy acoustics, no music, only sports channels are on, no news or movies to chill out to while you eat at the bar. A/C isnt The bartenders are sweet, very young, inexperienced, slow and unattentive. Makes it difficult to get silverware and condiments before your food is cold & you have an empty glass. If you just want good beer & to watch sports w/no volume or closed caption, this is the place . I hope they improve on the negatives (easily overcome). Very clean establishment & nice manager who addresses problems, McFate has great potential and good location, but they are really lacking in all areas except food & beer.

Im a big fan of McFate Brewing Co. Weve been going to the original location since it opened, and this new space is huge. Granted, they recently changed their name from Fate to McFate, but that is Steves last name, after all! It will always be Fate to me. Regardless, this location is huge and is a good place to try a lot of good local craft beers. Their beer list is always rotating, and the food here is incredible. This is a great place to meet some friends and to kick things off or to settle in for an evening in Scottsdale. We go here often, and every time I leave I cant wait for the next visit. Cheers!

average brew pub. Nice modern decor. The tables adjacent to the seats against the walls are bolted down; so cant pull/push the table in or out make any adjustment to the fixed chair. Service was okay. Food came out quick. Had asked for a substitution on the chicken wings, which didnt happen and the servers didnt recognize or acknowledge the mistake. Tasted like typical bar food; nothing special about the burger; in fact the fire burger jalapenos had no spice to them at all. Nothing special about the 4 beers I sampled. Lots of options in this category; I wont be back

This place was great. Service was exceptional, fast and attentive. All the beers I tried were really good - and the bourbon barrel aged milk stout was exceptional. There are 20 or so to choose from, so you probably will be able to find something you like. The food was simple and well done - great for getting some good eats with good beer. That patio looks like it would be exceptional to sit at on a nice day - unfortunately it was not that nice when we went. If you have time to only visit one brewery in the phoenix area, put this one at the top of your list.

Ive been here twice and both times the food has been eh. Today I got the chicken club. The bread was not toasted and saturated in the grease from the chicken. My friend described the pizza as a Totinos and my other friend said the tacos had a good sauce but the seasoning was just off, salt was needed. The beer is good of course, so come here for the beer, but eat before you come. The manager was nice, he said he would exchange the food, but I was already turned off.

Recently renamed Mcfate, this brewpub is a staple in the Scottsdale area. The brews range from the experimental to the crush able. Some are misses but most are delicious. However, come back again and youll find something new to try. The food is a great with more than healthy portions. I would suggest the pizza or apps over any of the entrees. The staff was very nice and attentive make it my business to visit as often as I can.

I expected this place to be snobby, hipstery, and very Scottsdale. It was actually a pretty diverse crowd, chill vibe, mostly alt-y music. We went in on Wednesday night, enjoyed a lovely beer flight, lots of great beer. We got a roasted grape salad with salmon, which was off the chain, so good. We also had a Margherita pizza, equally good. Ill definitely be going back, and I hope they are successful for a long time.

I am glad I waited to write this review until my second visit. I happened to go just a couple weeks after they first opened and they were still working out the kinks, but now that they have had a few months, things are much better. Really great beer selection (and not just their own) and the appetizers are varied and well done. Burgers were good and I had a spicy pizza that was really tasty!

The atmosphere was a nice surprise. Very cozy/modern/hipster-ish. Despite being 98 degrees outside, the open roll up doors felt fantastic! I got the grilled salmon...it didnt blow my mind with deliciousness but their IPA made up for whatever the salmon was lacking. That IPA hit the spot. I live in San Diego but am here for work occasionally, Ill definitely be back.

Great beer and great vibes. So far today I tried 10 out of their 20 beers, so much to choose, great beers so far. Hard to find a place that has multiple beers that tastes so good. Surprisingly thier scotch beer is fantastic, and I tried scotch beer and I hate it.. But this is a must try beer. Jesse was a great server, fun to talk to, kept us entertained.
