I was super excited to go here for breakfast with my boyfriend and our two kids because I had heard awesome things and was immediately wowed by the atmosphere. However once actually seated and the waitress told us of the serve your own tea and coffee area the problems start. I assumed that since I had to serve my own beverages they would be complimentary but no. They were actually 3.50 a piece which in my opinion is pretty over priced for something I served myself. The table they sat us at was so wobbly that when the 7 year old went to get a refill my coffee actually tipped over and spilt everywhere. No one working there noticed so I used every napkin available to mop up the mess. The waitress did not smile, did not ask questions regarding our order ( what I ordered said there where options but she didnt ask), forgot who got what, never once checked on us. honestly the food was pretty good although my boyfriend did get an egg that wasnt cooked through. But overall I enjoyed my food. A bit over priced 60 dollars for a family of 4 and my 3 year old got one egg and 2 pieces of bacon so yeah.. 60 bucks seemed steep. Now my boyfriend was the one paying. I would have left a tip regardless of a less then satisfactory visit. He chose not to. As we are leaving the manager approaches us and asks why we didnt leave a tip Wow way to make us feel unwelcome. Then goes on to tell us how our waitresses dont make a good wage. Thats why they count on our tips. Well.. Im sorry our waitress made no attempt at doing a good job serving our table. You guys made 60 bucks on our table today you should pay them a decent wage. And I was extremely put off by her approach. Im usually a good tipper and was embarrassed he didnt leave one but to call us out in front of a restaurant full of people after we had zero service because you guys dont pay your staff well or train them well or to be attentive to guests. She did not try to fix the issue simply said oh ok I was just wondering why you would do that. Yeah.. I wont be returning

Morning Glory Cafe is, in theory, the perfect concept for a breakfast place: Beautiful scenery/views, dog friendly, comfy patio seating in a farm environment, sustainable and in-house grown ingredients, short menu, fresh food. Perfect, right? In theory its everything I want in a breakfast place sans the unlimited mimosas. The execution falls a tad short, but not too far, from its goal. First thing to note is that there is no "indoor" seating, so the AZ heat will probably drive you away from here once it becomes unbearable (or, sometimes, actually cold in winter). Also note that it is not a large place, and the waiting list at around 10am will easily be an hour, close to 2 hours at 11am. The waiting area right outside it is all grass/gravel/dirt, so unless you grab one of the few benches, you and your pooch will have to stand up during your wait. If youd like a beverage while you wait you can get it (for a price) but the refills are free. However, once you are seated you are somehow expected to get your own drinks (?) which I didnt love. The menu was good and had a couple of simple options. I ordered the harvest item which was 2 over-easy eggs next to some fresh vegetables. For almost $13, my medium-to-small size plate of food was not worth the hour wait nor the price. It was tasty, but there was absolutely no seasoning and the veggies were a little under-cooked. A tasty breakfast, but not worth it in the grand scheme of things. I loved my view and the scenery and was happy to see dogs running around and having fun. However I also saw a lot of hungry and disgruntle children and I felt like I was one of them. Maybe I should just pack my own breakfast and sit in the picnic areas like the many families that come to the farm.

Every time I came here the wait time is about an hour. Been coming here for years but finally reviewing it. Today waited over an hour, being pregnant, not feeling the best since it is hot. No one smiled, people working here do the basic...Ihop has excellent service compared to this place. Food is ok, servers do not know the proper way of handling customers starting with a sad men bringing the food to the men first, no sovoir vivre. Disappointment, chaos, way too many people. This place was much better years ago to have a peaceful, quiet, quality breakfast. Now it defeats its purpose. Love the farm, the evening restaurant next door but Morning Glory lost its glory.

Was not pleased with my last experience here, and probably will be a very long time before we go back. We normally take our out of town guess for breakfast and see the change in scenery. Our last experience here, we had to send back 2 of our orders. Normally that is okay, but the waitress never apologize for the food. Yes the things were fixed, but no apology. Normally love the food, and this time it was good too, but the mishaps with the food and the service left a bad taste in my mouth.

Definitely worth it to go at least once for the environment, but I cant say I was overly impressed with the service or the food. Its a fairly pricy place for breakfast/brunch, and it takes forever to receive your food, but the environment is really cool and serene. Its located on a farm in the middle of south Phoenix... Who would have thought there would be a farm in the middle of south Phoenix?

I have been coming here for 8 years or so. It is a standard place to bring out of town guests. The ambiance and the food quality make it a great choice. I would give it a 5th star if they brought back the chili. They used to have a breakfast dish that was 2 eggs over easy served on an epic bowl of chili with grilled toast on the side. Bring it back, youll get your 5th star.

This place looks like its straight out of a magazine. Enjoy a scenic walk through a mini farm before getting to the "restaurant", if you can call it that. We went here for breakfast and thought it was great - delicious with fresh ingredients and friendly service. Be prepared to wait a little bit, but this place is a must, especially for a date!

Great service, very good food. Coffee/tea selection could be better since seating is outside. Overall set up is a little different. Phoenix mornings can be chilly & since it was our first visit we parked across the street & walked the whole way down in drizzle. Nice experience in general.

The place is great, service ok. But very disappointed with their food. Greasy potatoes and the vegetables werent fresh or grilled like it presents in their menu. They could also improve their tables and chairs . ( we had a group of 5 , and we all have the same opinion)

A real desert oasis. The breakfast features local meats and cheeses. All you can drink iced tea, lemonade, and coffee are a nice touch. I wonder how the outdoor seating works in the summer. The attached farms and grounds are very kid friendly. Not to be missed.
