Absolutely HORRIBLE giving this dive 1 star is extremely generous. Restaurant was very hot at 10am, we sat there uncomfortable and sweating. Nothing on our order was correct. Ordered chicken fried steak and eggs got "steak" and eggs. The steak was actually just 3 pieces of meat, not actually a steak, looked like leftovers scraps. Didnt even bring out the order of pancakes and bacon for my son. Had to ask 2 additional times for his food. As a small business owner myself I understand sometimes we fall short of our goals. However, when I calmly and quietly voiced my concerns to the owner he didnt even look at me or care. So I asked "do you even care" and he continued to ignore me. Then his wife came over and angrily confronted me and offered my meal for free. I explained I dont want free food I was willing to pay for the food I got. The owner then angrily tears up my bill and throws it in the air saying its on him and stomps away. Its a shame this business owner has such a poor attitude and no respect for his customers. I am a small business owner so I support local and small business. Due to the bad service, crappy food and piss poor attitude of this business I suggest you eat elsewhere.

I cant say what the food is like as I never got any. I came in with my family on a slow Wednesday morning. A sign saying seat yourself would be nice as there was a bunch of us just standing around. The help never said anything to us to help alleviate the confusion. Finally me and anouther customers decided it must be seat ourselves as we were being completely ignored. I have twin boys that require high chairs. Once a server came I asked about high chairs for the kids. The lady said they had some but only brought one. After I inquired about anouther she acted like I was out of my mind for needing two. Well with 1 year old twins yes I need two. I told her to forget it as it was clearly to much to understand. She then disappeared for over 10 minutes and never came back. Finally we just decided to leave as it was clear the staff had no idea what they were doing.

This is my second visit here. The first time I came the service was so slow it took over an hour for breakfast. I thought Id give it another go today and I gotta say, never again. The food is good if/when you ever get it. I ordered blueberry granola pancakes with whipped cream with a side of scrambled cheeses eggs and a side of bacon. What I got was hasbrowns, eggs with no cheese, blueberry pancakes with no granola or whipped cream, I had to ask 3 times for silver ware for my daughter, and the fruit I ordered for "before the meal" came out with the pancakes. The people are friendly enough, the food is tasty enough, but seriously... it is sad to see a place with such great potential fail so badly.

My family and I have been going here for at least a year now. The owner runs the joint and he is super kind! I have never had a bad meal here and happily travel to the spot on most of my days off because I know whatever the mood, they have something for me. I mix it up, but my sister swears by the cheesesteak and flavored lemonade. We get the huevos rancheros a lot as it is divine. The home made salsa here will blow your mind. This is the best kept secret in the valley. I love the treatment, the cleanliness, and the food. Top ten local spots for SURE!

Crushed it on opening night for dinner service. Perfect pork chops paired with great mashed taters and steamed veggies. Gorgeous made from scratch Alfredo sauce paired with linguini and chicken. Meatloaf was a bit dense, but would make for a great sandwich on the lunch menu (hint). Always hot and fresh at all hours with nice decor to go with the eats. Check out the patio out back when weather permits.

I dont like to go to Melrose Kitchen when it is above 110 degrees outside because their AC cant keep up. Of course my girlfriend disagrees because she always complains restaurants in Phoenix set the temperature to 68 degrees during the summer so Melrose Kitchen is great for her. They have outdoor seating, the coffee is excellent, the service and good is always great no matter how busy they are.

Horrible !!!! I was left sitting at my table while the server (Melissa ) took the order for two other tables that came in and was seated after I was seated . I guess first come first served only applies to certain guest. Worst service Ive ever gotten and i work in the food and beverage industry . I certainly wont be back.

Great food and atmosphere ... but substandard service. Were usually pretty open-minded about such things but orders were coming out incorrect, multiple staff came to our table to try and take orders, wrong checks were brought out, and general confusion was obvious from behind the counter. Sunday morning brunch.

My partner and I go here about twice a month for breakfast. While the service isnt always great we do love the breakfast. The pancakes are fantastic, heuvos rancheros just enough spice to keep them honest and the omelettes are great! We suggest sitting outside, its quite and we love that.

This is a very cute local spot to eat breakfast. The food is delicious, and the portions are just right in my opinion but I can see how the average American restaurant-goer might consider them too small. I highly suggest asking to sit out back on their "secret" garden patio. Its adorable.

10 bucks for the worst burger ever. The meat was so bad I fed the whole thing to my dog. I previously ordered an omelette to go and it was an ugly mess for $$$. It is no wonder the parking lot is always empty. The good reviews for this place have to be written by the owners.

Absolutely love this place Never fails especially after a long morning hike with friends! Their Chilaquiles, Pancakes, healthy omelette options are amazing! Great service, pet friendly, they have a cozy patio in the back which I recommend on a nice weather day!

Great for the price. I had the 2 egg breakfast, cant mess that up. I asked for bacon crisp and no toast. I got the toast and no Bacon. Lol! No big deal. The staff seem nice enough, the décor is fun and funky. And like I said, reasonable price. I would return.

I had the breakfast burrito and it was good. My husband had the chicken fried steak and he said it was mediocre at best. They only serve one piece of toast. The atmosphere was cozy. Service was ok. Very tiny bathrooms. Only have swamp cooler.
