I have to say, I am another bakery in the Phoenix area, and my husband surprised me on my birthday with a party... and a cake. A little strange getting a cake from another bakery being a baker..., but he told me he went to them I think literally the day before he needed this cake. I cant do that, I have even sent people to them when I could not do the inquiry for a cake. They did an amazing job in such short notice. It was an awesome cake and totally shocked me to say the least. He made them do a mold of me basically baking, it had flour, cups, little cupcakes, rolling pin, and a molded person to look like me. I was so surprised and it was awesome work, I also appreciated the price they charged him. Even though it was a last minute cake and the amount of detail they put into it on such short notice was over the top, and they did not take the bank from him. Thank you very much Kick Ass Kakes for working with my husband last mintue to make my birthday one of the most special Ive ever had. Paula

I purchased a cake there last week. The cake was almost $100 for 8 people. We picked a cake from the pictures that were on their website. When I pick up the cake I was very disappointed. The cake looked like a generic version of the picture. I had no choice but to take the cake because it was a friends birthday. We cut 1 piece of the cake and that is all that was cut for the entire cake. It was the most dried out cake I have ever eaten. The cake tasted like it was made 2 weeks prior. I will never do business with them or recommend this place to anyone. I called the bakery today to tell them about the horrible experience and I didnt even get an apology. I didnt want anything else from them but an apology. The name of the bakery should be 10 day old cakes.

it was my birthday. my mom spent $130 on that cake. first of all tell me what cake costs that much??? She even talked to the owner about how she wanted the cake and hes the one who made it. I was so displeased with my cake. on the inside of the cake box it looks like they had been pressed down onto the cake and it was. They didnt even get the flavors right. It was supposed to be vanilla on the bottom and strawberry on the top. But it was all vanilla and the frosting was flavorless it tasted disgusting. The frosting stained my hands black. Worst cake shop ever never spend money there unless they know what theyre doing .

Jay was great to work with! He arranged a tasting for us to try a wide variety of cakes, fillings, and frostings. The cake he made for us was very delicious and looked even better than we had hoped. On our wedding day, Jay himself showed up to deliver the cake and make sure it looked perfect. His prices were very reasonable, and he was completely willing to work with us on a short deadline. We’d highly recommend him to anyone.

OMG! I love this place. The cupcakes are really good, much denser than I have found at other places. They are priced about 2.50 each and the macaroons are about 1.50. They currently have a Lady GaGa cake on their website, and it looks delicious. We have quite a few places in central phoenix to buy cupcakes and the like, but this one is definitely one of my favorites.

What an amazing cake , designed with half UK and half US flags for my daughter. Not only was design wonderful ,cake tasted good also. We had 3 layers chocolate, carrot and red velvet, all cakes exceptional. Delivered on time , I cannot say anything but good things about Kick Ass Cakes, truly made the day even more wonderful.

I went to this bakery to get some macaroons and when I got there they only had one kind of macaroon. So I returned about an hour later and they had more macaroons and the lady was very nice and gave me a discount for not having them made earlier and having to come back later. The macaroons were delicious, worth the wait.

I just ordered a cake and requested that they make me a Harry Potter cake from the first movie for my girlfriends birthday, it came out extraordinary, I absolutely will be continuing business with them and on top of a great look, it tasted fantastic.

My sister who is an amazing baker did not have time to bake for my daughters birthday so she went to KAK. The girl in the shop was less than pleasant. The cup cakes were dry and the frosting tasted like Crisco. You dont do that to people!
