So BuzzFeed listed this place as one of the 27 must visit ice cream shops before you die. I dont think this place should have made the cut. Its good but, not amazing good. I was in town with my family helping my sister move in for school. I was really excited to try this place after seeing the list on BuzzFeed. I LOVE ICE CREAM! I could eat it everyday! What We Ordered - Ice Cream Sandwich: 2 Cookies (Kitchen Sink and Chocolate Chunk) with 2 Ice Cream Flavors (Cookies & Mint and The Stout) - Fat Elvis Sundae - SMores Sundae I got the ice cream sandwich. The Cookies & Mint and The Stout was a good combo together! I could have done without the cookies. The Staff recommended me getting the ice cream sandwich instead of the cone. The cookies were not that good. The Kitchen Sink Cookie was super hard!!! Not a fan of hard cookies...and no, they were not hard because of the cold ice cream. The Chocolate Chunk Cookie was really moist but too salty. I really like sea salt chocolate type cookies but this just had too much salt. :( I was really sad... I usually love cookies too. $5 for basically just the ice cream, not worth it. :( My sisters boyfriend got the Fat Elvis. He seemed to enjoy it. My sister LOVED her SMores Sundae but she wished there were more Graham crackers in it. I did not like the fact that there were no inside seating. Arizona is super hot. Why would there not be any indoor seating?! They had tables outside but there were a bunch of flies flying around back there. :( -1 STAR for hard/salty cookies -0.5 STAR no indoor seating and they limit the amount of samples you get

Its the hottest day of the year so far, so that means time to get some ice cream. Huge fan of upward projects but have never actually tried Churn, just everything around it (Windsor, Federal Pizza, Joyride Taco, & Postinos). The shop has a very old school ice cream shop feel but with a small modern twist and I think thats one of the things that make it so great. The shelves are loaded with different types of candies and trinkets and just one central ice cream case to choose your flavor. I dont think theres more than 12 to choose from at one time. Overall very tasty, recommend having something to wash it down afterwards because itll leave you thirsty its so sweet.

This was my first time visiting, but I enjoyed it. When I first walked in, I could see different types of candy available on the wall right behind me. They dont have a large selection of ice cream, but there are all sorts of ways of having it. From shakes, to sundaes to floats etc. I think if I brought my kids here, I would have to get ready for them to get their hands on as many sweets as possible. Overall, thumbs up. Note; be prepared for parking. Between the parking in back of the store and out in front there isnt that many spaces so plan for that if you do come.

My friend and I went on a ice cream trip and this was our first stop. This is in the same building as Windsor so you will want to park on the south-side of the building or rather the NE corner of Colter and Central. They have a mix of different flavors. They let you sample a few before picking one. I tried at least 5 of them and they were all divine. They have a few cone options and everything is clearly high quality. They also had a mix of candy, cookies, and other treats to buy. A very cool place!

Churn is a great place for dessert. Their ice cream selection is limited, but creative at the same time. They have an assortment of dessert options and many feature a unique flare. The best, in my opinion, is the cookie sandwich. You pick the cookies and ice cream making it even more enjoyable. When visiting during the evening, expect a line. But dont let that discourage you - the staff inside works extremely fast to get everyone moving quickly all while being cheerful.

Hands down, the best ice cream shop in Phoenix! Located right next to the Windsor restaurant and actually connected to it. Plenty of parking and inside is small but the menu is not. Ice cream...vietnamese coffee is my fave! Cones or cups. Their own blizzard type desserts hand made. And their floats...oh my...oh my affogato is fantabulous served with a mexican coke.

Excellent little ice cream shop that uses minimal ingredients and tastes amazing. The staff is always super helpful here so if you dont know which flavor you like, they will guide you and let you have all the samplings youd like. I keep driving out of my way to stop here just for a single scoop of the peanut butter ice cream, its fantastic.

Quaint little shop with awesome homemade ice cream. Shop is small, parking is limited but always busy with standing room only crowd. I was lucky and got their when they opened, beating the crowds. Wife and I tried 4 flavors of ice cream. All were awesome, smooth and delicious. Highly recommend you try it. 4 stars only because of parking.

The cookies and mint was pefect, the other flavors we tried were way too sweet for us. My wife couldnt get past 6 spoons. I felt like I was gonna get diabetes with this stuff (sarcasm obviously). Ice cream is also overpriced IMO. Thankfully Im back in California where theres Thrifty ice cream which is up there with Blue Bell.

Wow, this ice cream. Based on product alone, this place would easily be five stars. I am not even generally a dessert person, but go here if you dont mind waiting. Unfortunately, if you do mind waiting, you might need to hit this place on reeeeally off hours. Ended up waiting a while pretty late in the evening already.

In the past I wouldve given them a five recently they seem to be OK with doing not to original ice creams which defeats the purpose if you asked / maybe this next season will open newer or past flavor pallets Offering chocolate, vanilla & strawberry options well I can get that at Baskin-Robbins

Went there with a good friend last night. It was a very neat little shop. They sold all sorts of candy and ice cream. I had the peanut butter (which was amazing) and my friend had the strawberry (which he said was excellent). Definitely going to go back when i go to Phoenix again!

This is a great ice cream place. They are very friendly and the ice cream is always good. The only bummer is that there is only one seating section, located in the back, and there are a lot of flies back in the patio area. Thats the only downside to me.

The ice cream here is fantastic, but it is a bit on the expensive side. The staff behind the counter is always super friendly and they are totally cool with you trying stuff out before you buy. The "Kitchen Sink" is one of my favorites here.

The atmosphere of Churn is warm and welcoming, the staff is friendly and attentive, the Ice Cream has a rich and creamy consistency, and the flavors pack a punch. Churn is an Ice Cream parlor that is sure to put a smile on any customers face.

Absolutely fantastic ice cream selections in a bright, airy shop, plus great outdoor patio seating. Ice cream sandwiches are to die for, plus they offer interesting cones (pretzel, anyone?) and ice cream flavors. Definitely worth a try!
