It was my first time to Melt. And wow! Most delicious, amazing ice cream...the Cookie Monster, oh my! However, I have to say the customer service killed my overall experience. Music was jamming with a line out the door, but once you got inside you werent made to feel welcomed. The two working didnt appear to have any excitement serving the anxious and excited customers making the nights most important decision; what flavor?! They had their heads down on their phones for the majority of check out. There was no "hey guys welcome to melt! Let us know if you have any questions." Or "thanks so much for coming in tonight...well see you back soon!" "Is this your first time in? If so we have punch cards." The only conversation I had with the girl was "make sure you bring your flight tray back inside." My dad has owned a restaurant for 30 years and from my experience I have learned that customer service can make or break your overall experience. Those working for you are supposed to represent your business in the most positive way possible; you kind of expect that being in the downtown Roosevelt district where people represent a chill, cool, and friendly vibe. With all of that said, keep making delicious ice cream at Melt! The flavors are inventive and who doesnt love the take-out containers with the crunch of the fortune cookie to end the party in your mouth. Heres to more happy scooping employees! #lovetheicecreambutnotheonesservingit

I wanted to give Melt a shot because i heard great things from friends and they have great reviews on google. The ice cream was delightful. I got passion fruit (it tasted more like mango to me, but I love mango so no complaints! ) and fruity pebbles. Service was pretty quick, despite a line being out the door. It was a windy evening so outdoor seating was nice. However the lack of indoor (or at least shady) seating might make me think twice about visiting in the hot summer. My one dislike was the "F*** TRUMP" sticker on the register, for 2 reasons. 1. A child who was probably about 10 years old was behind me in line with her parents and read it and was asking her parents about it. And 2. I am a Trump supporter, and although the owners are entitled to their opinions, personally I dont think its a wise business practice to post something that may offend your customers and children. For this reason, I will not give 5 stars. All in all, it was good ice cream, but I was put off by the sticker. I will not go out of my way to visit this place and will probably stick to my usual ice cream spot, but if I am in the area Ill definitely stop by again.

This place won my heart instantly just based on the crazy flavors they had available! Thankfully the staff were super friendly and helpful and allowed us to sample basically everything. Hubby took the last of the Lucky Charms and got it in milkshake form. Honestly, this ended up being my choice. The ice cream on its own was incredible. And somehow the milkshake retained that magical flavor and didnt taste watered down at all. I ended up with two generous scoops - one of coco puffs and one of birthday cake. They were both awesome, for sure. But that Lucky Charms is what really got me!

Easily my favorite ice cream place in the valley. Its priced well and near other locations that makes it a perfect end to a date night. The staff has always been friendly and the creativity in the product delivery is unforgettable. The Ice cream is still the best part of the experience; even though they have one of my favorite things: a dog friendly patio. If you like sweet they have childrens cereal themed flavors and they usually have a small selection of some basic flavors as well as a more adult flavor (such as Green Tea) I recommend this place to anyone in the Phoenix area.

Im not sure why this place is highly rated. First, the ice cream flavors we had were below average ( mango, pineapple, blueberry muffin, oatmeal cookie).Second, the service is terrible, I asked for two flavors and the person serving the ice cream insisted in upgrading my ice cream to the next size. I did not want more ice cream, I wanted to try 2 flavors but without increasing the amount of ice cream. I suggested that they charge me more but give me the same amount of ice cream. Anyways, I would not recommend this business.

A very unique ice cream shop with creative flavors and presentation. Serving ice cream in a Chinese takeout box with a fortune cookie on top is super awesome. Ive only visited once and got cookie dough which was okay. I was hoping for a little more flavor and better tasting cookie dough. However, I tried my friends Butterfinger ice cream and it was amazing. My other friends got butter pecan and pistachio and they really liked those flavors as well.

The ice cream at this place totally lived up to its name. It was melting and dripping out of the cone and on to the floor before i even walked out of the door! I made an ice cream trail all the way down the block. The ice cream itself was good and they have some interesting flavors to choose from. You also have the option of eating your ice cream from a chinese take-out box or in a cone. The fortune cookie is a cute addition.

Ice Cream is great but the customer service is Horrible. I will never go back to a place where the servers bark orders at the customers, correct them on pronounciation, and have an overbearing arrogant attitude. The guy who served us was beyond disrespectful and made it clear he had no respect for people of other cultures and ethnicities.I will NEVER GO BACK! If you have any integrity I recommend you dont go to Melt.

If you love soft ice cream. This is the place. Not sure if the soft melty texture is the way its made or cuz its so dang hot in Phoenix. They have all sorts of fun flavors. I went with the strawberry. You can tell right away that its made with all the freshest milk. Ice cream is made in Gilbert and is so tasty. Long line but moves fast and nice staff. Will also come back when I visit.

Its nice to take a break from your typical run of the mill flavors and what I loved was how natural the blueberry icecream I got tasted. The little Chinese takeout box was definitely a fun way of changing things up, the fortune cookie was also a cool little thing to add. I would love to go back and try out the other different flavors sometime.

I love ice cream places that serve unique flavors. This was it. And they serve them in Chinese take-out cartons with a fortune cookie! They had flavors like Trix, banana pudding, lucky charms, etc. but their flavors are rotating so you might not see the same that I did! Go here. There are tables and chairs outside.

Lots of unique flavours, but Captain Crunch was by far the best! Service on the other hand could use a lot of improvement; the gentleman behind the counter acted like we had ruined his evening by asking which flavours hed recommend. Shame as no one should ever be unhappy at an ice cream parlour!

Literally just was in the area catching Pokémon. Wanted Ice Cream and seen this place was still open. Never in my life knew Trix and Captain Crunch cereal ice cream existed. Completely delicious. Just amazing. Like seriously amazing some of the best ice cream Ive had in a very long time.
