My son had mentioned that someone had made a remark about how good the food was at A Taste of Italy. We went out to dinner tonight and decided to look for it. I ordered lasagna, my grandson ordered stuffed shells, & my son ordered fettucine. All was good until my son was putting his fettucine in a to-go container. He said I think Ill leave my fettucine after all & was looking at the bottom of the bowl. I asked why & he said, "look, there are a couple of hairs on the bottom of the bowl!" I told him, "let them know. Thats not good" He walked up to talk quietly to one of the girls at the counter to show her & to let them know. The next thing I knew he was talking to an older guy, who must have been the owner. He was showing the hairs in the bowl to him & I heard the guy start being sarcastic, saying, " noone has short brown hair here. What do you want? Do you want your money back?" He was sarcastic and rude. My son told him , "no I dont want my money back. I just wanted to let you know. You are really rude." My son & grandson walked out & I walked up to the counter to speak to him. I told him that he was very rude & the least he couldve done was apologize to him. My son had walked back in at that point & agreed with me, telling him I didnt come up to tell you, just to get my money back. I just thought youd like to know" He left his fettucine hed started transferring into a foil container there on the table. He told me in the car that just thinking about it made him want to throw up what he did eat. Sad that none of the workers or owner couldnt offer an apology until we told them that they should! Even sadder that he didnt offer to give us a refund with the exception of when he was yelling at my son at the beginning, saying "what do you want? You want your money back?!" Horrible customer service skills on top of poor hygiene practices. By the way, the "cook" does have short brown hair ( a fade). Dont go there unless you want to eat things that dont belong in your food!!! And I really SHOULD have demanded a refund for THAT dish! A restaurant should own up to their mistakes and try to make things right, not make a practice of being in denial!

Mediocre food.. not just that. I found 2 hairs in my bowl of fettuccine alfredo.. didnt notice until I was putting it in a to-go container.. I brought it to their attention, and the first thing the manager says is "oh so you want your money back!?" With an attitude.. I told him "no I just wanted to point it out.." He just kept saying "we dont have long hair!" Even though it was short brown hairs that were in the bowl... I left my leftovers and my salad that i was going to take home... I couldnt believe the gull of that guy he couldnt even apologize for the bad experience. Just berated me.. worst customer service Ive seen, and I have worked in a restaurant before.. I will never go back, I will never recommend anyone to eat there but I will encourage people NOT to go there... STAY AWAY

Having moved to Arizona from Kansas City, which has a very long history and rich cultural affair with a large population of Italian immigrants, I feel like I know Italian food. Taste of Italy is the closest to the authentic Italian food I grew up eating in Northeast and Columbus Park. The pasta is al dente, not limp and soggy. The sauce, or sugu, is robust and zesty without being overly spiced or acidic. Theyve put time into their recipes, and they offer good food at a fair price.

Food is always great. Usually get pizza and wings but have had sandwiches and pastas also. Have not been disappointed. The owners are really friendly people and are almost always there. They work really hard and it shows from the homemade sauce and dough made daily to the cleanliness of the whole restaurant. Forget any negative reviews and try it out to form your own opinion. Most people that are not snobs love the place!

Being from Brooklyn NY I was very skeptical of ordering from Taste of Italy, Ive tried many other pizzerias in the Valley, from Scottsdale to Buckeye and none of them have compared to Taste of Italy. I ordered the Meatball Parm Sub and the white pizza and I felt like I was back home. Would give six stars if I could! Delivery guy was great too! Will be ordering again.

Had the Buffalo Pizza and an order of wings for takeout. The wings left alot to be desired. They were very small, smaller than Pizza Huts wings. Hard to believe I know. Of what wings you could actually find they were very dark and looks as though old frier grease was used. The pizza was fair, nothing i would go out of my way for. Very bland.

Ive always had excellent service and gotten wonderful food from here and weve ordered multiple times. Tonight, the woman who took our order was extremely rude, it took over an hour and a half for it to be delivered and nothing was hot. Then we find out they forgot part of the order. Definitely not worth the $50 spent. Very disappointing

Have been coming here since the 2nd day they opened! We come here at least twice a month! I love the home feel, family owned vibes you get. The owner and his staff always make you feel at home!! Our favorite place ever. We always order pineapple and ham (double cut) & extra crispy hot wings!!

The word Amazing doesnt do this place justice. The crust is thin, but not to thin. More of a New York style crust. I usually go light on the sauce at other pizza places but they seem to do it just right here. The staff is friendly and will make sure that you have a enjoyable experience there.

Always put extra care into every order. Never had a bad experience been coming at least weekly for 2 years. Pizza is the best this side of Italy seriously. If you you want it different than usual theyll accommodate your request without hesitation. Love this place.

Have eaten here a few times prior with friends and family always good. Today went alone and had a calzone and it was soo delish!! Everyone was friendly which made it even nicer. Looking forward to my leftovers and returning

Pizza, a medium pepperoni, and wings: 7.8 out of 10. Service, to go & phone order, & out of 10. Pizza a bit greasy and the person on the phone not very helpful; sounded like someones daughter after smoking some weed.

Really enjoyed the pizza, my husband and son did too. The owner was really nice and made us feel welcome. Lots of options available on the menu. Ill definitely be back to try something else on the menu.

Best pizza in Goodyear. The pizza really is amazing. Always freshly made. Small family owned business, they are all super nice, and again the food is delicious! My Favorite Pizza Place in Goodyear!
