Ive had mixed experiences here, some good some not as great. First the price is high for a meat and 3 type place, and quality depends on what you order. Catfish was disappointing, but the sides are usually great. My recommendations are black eyed peas (very flavorful), broccoli casserole, and green bean casserole. Dessert wasnt worth the high price in my opinion (almost $4 for one slice..) the cake was dry. I do wish that they would put vegetarian markings on their menu so those who are vegetarian know what they can order easier. But overall, the sides are what I go here for, they are really good!

Great Restaurant! Its my favorite place in Tuscaloosa to eat. I go all the time, nearly once a week. Everyone knows T-Town Cafe has great lunches, but their Breakfast menu is very good as well. Their service & great food never disappoint. Plus it is a great location for college students because it is so close to the University, beside the Off Campus Book Store and Oz Music.

Long a skilled locator of good "local food" spots, I ate lunch here while daughter interviewed for grad school. Superb, some of the best simple southern cooking Ive ever had. Cooking is in the details, and someone here is paying close attention. My daughter is considering Bama and NYU -- some contrast there -- but food wise, Im good with either, thanks to this gem.

We discovered this little treasure when we took our son for a visit to UA a few years ago, we now make it a point to visit here every time we come to visit him at UA. The best southern comfort food that we have found in town! Great desserts too! I have never not liked anything Ive tried here.

They were great when they first opened, but the sides where underwhelming. I liked the entrees a lot. Now even the entree is going downhill. Maybe its the lack of student population, but everything is extremely salty. Now its just a step above Waffle House.
