We took my mother in law here for Mothers Day lunch and it was hands down the worst service and food we have ever had, anywhere. They were very accommodating of our large party, but that is where the praise ends. When the server brought 8 rolls for our party of nine, I asked if we could have some extras. She proceeded to bring us one roll in a napkin, but I could see her hands all over the roll. They brought out one plate at a time, each plate about a full five minutes after the next. And almost every single order was wrong, so we waited on the kitchen to make everyones orders right immediately after our food had just come. Getting everyones plates passed out and with their correct food took almost 45 minutes. And the food was terrible....the chicken and dressing looked (and tasted) like it had condensed cream of chicken soup poured over it and the roasted carrots were mush, the black eyed peas were not fully cooked and were tasteless. When we chose to forgo our dessert that came with our meal just so we could get out of there, and when we asked for our check the server said she would go get the manager. I dont know her name but she definitely came into the room very defensive. We smiled and said we had no problems we just wanted our check, but three or four times she asked very rudely what our problem with her food was, so we told her. She had a snippy comeback for every complaint we had, even though we were not asking for anything to be compensated or taken off of our check. And my daughter (who got her food 15 minutes after everyone else had already finished eating) had just taken her first bite when a server came up and said she was going to have to take that table and started to pull the table out from under my daughter. I yelped "She is still eating! She just started!" to which I got an eye roll and a half assed "Sorry" from this server. I will never, ever be back to this restaurant, and the attitude of the staff makes me never want to come to Dickson again, ever. Awful. If I could give it zero stars I would.

We stopped in for lunch while moving/traveling. It had been a while since we had a home cooked meal and boy did this hit the spot. The owner takes great pride in her restaurant. She was constantly cruising the dining room to make sure guests were well cared for despite the Sunday rush. Highly recommend this place... Well worth the 10 min drive past chain restaurants off the highway.

Many of the locals say this is one of the best restaurants in town. The food is not bad but its not what I would consider one of the best. The menu is traditional southern food that you would expect from a home cooked meal and I (personally) can do that at home. If youre visiting from another location and looking for good southern food, this is the place.

I used The Front Porch for my wedding reception and they were wonderful! The staff was so friendly and the food was amazing! They made sure everything was taken care of and I didnt have to worry about anything! Jaime, the owner, is one the nicest people you could ever meet. I highly recommend them for any event or just a great dinner!

Open only for lunch. Portions could be a little more generous, however the fried chicken was excellent! Boneless breast filet that wasnt dry, breeding crisp and well-seasoned. Sides were ok, basic, but the bread was very good. Will eat here again.
