Visiting from out of town and was looking forward to some good hometown Tuscaloosa/Northport BBQ! I had driven by this spot many times and had never stopped here. It is a beautiful building that is right in the heart of things. Usually the lines are long and I just dont have the time. On this particular day it did not appear to be super busy, so I went thru the drive thru. I ordered the brisket & the ribs, my 2 favorites. Long story short, I was not very impressed. Both items were "ok", but definitely not worth going back for. The food tastes commercially mass prepared and with little taste to it. I imagine for a busy football crowd this will be fine, but for a local "visiting home" there are much better BBQ spots in the local area. Probably would not have rated it as low if the taste and price were commensurate.

I worked here and I wouldnt eat a thing that came from there. The desserts arent rotated, kitchen utensils dont get cleaned properly, the owner comes in the kitchen and digs in the food with no gloves. Most of the food isnt kept at the right temp and sits out all day. And I have seen the owners mother making desserts after she was rubbing butter on her feet. <---- I cant make this up...... Seriously. Oh and if you pay with a credit card and leave a tip it goes to the owner, not the employees.

I cant, for the life of me, understand why anyone choose this place when there are multiple Dreamland and Archibalds locations. If Taco Bell is mexican food, this is BBQ. Sure. I gave it 3 stars because the food isnt bad and they place provided a good, deep laugh. No hint of irony between the neon sign boasting to be the "Best Little Porkhouse in Alabama" and sponsoring the Jewish food festival. Thats kosher, right? Definitely.

I ordered a Chicken Baker which was large, undercooked baked potato stuffed with chicken. Not only the potato taste old, everything was dry (no sauce, hardly any cheese, sour cream, etc..) and there was grissel all in the chicken. For $10, I would have hoped it would have at least been edible but on the plus size, it was large enough to feed two people easily had it been tasty.

We came from out of town for our sons University of Alabama orientation and decided to dine here. The customer service, the service, the service was excellent from the entrance to the order. Yes, I purposely repeated the service, so nice I had to repeat it thrice. The cleanliness of this Restaurant was exceptional. Mr. Rob, thank you for the experience. Truly awesome.

At the suggestion of the cashier, I ordered the large beef brisket sandwich and steak fries. The sandwich was amazing. The brisket was perfectly tender and was served on a bun with chow chow, pickles, and a tangy sauce. The sauce was full flavor but not overbearing. Definitely the best bbq Ive had in Tuscaloosa, although I have not tried any of the other menu items.

I am not sure how they get away with calling themselves BBQ. The bbq chicken tasted like it had been baked, and then the worst tasting bbq sauce was put on it. That is not BBQ. Real BBQ involves some type of smoker and hopefully wood. The sides were not good. Picadilly has better sides, which is sad. I would go for Dickies, Moes, or Archibalds before this place.

Ordered catfish....not your traditional cornmeal breading..some may like it but I prefer cornmeal. Took the breading off but it was too "fishy" to eat...... my son ordered chicken tenders and they werent cooked all the way...I guess since you pay when you order, nobody checked on us once. So may want to stick to their bbq. Husbands chicken was delicious!

O-EM-GEE. This place is amazing.... Every time i travel through here i pick food up to take with me to feed my whole family!! Its just incredible, every single thing weve had has been more than generously portioned and flavored out of this world. If you want BBQ, dont debate, come to full moon.

Pretty much identical experience as every other Full Moon location. Only complaint is they can never remember to give you silverware that is appropriate for what is on your plate, if you get any at all. Besides that, recommended.

My daughter bit into a French fry that had a staple in it. When I called them their response was it must have fallen off the ticket. If it had fallen off the ticket wouldnt it have been on the french fry instead of in it?

My absolute favorite place to stop for a meal (and carry-out for when I get back to MS) in Tuscaloosa! Clean location, great staff, and delicious BBQ. My mouth is watering for it now as I write this review!

Food and initial service at the restaurant were great. Portions are very large and delicious, but it took some time for the food to get to me. The brand also doesnt seem to have anything real unique.

Food poisoning. Ate some bad chicken at this place and was sick for days. And I dont get sick easily. Cool bama atmosphere with a bunch of memorabilia. But I wont be returning.

Awesome sports bar/eatery. U go up and order/pay, then sit and wait for your food to come out, which takes no time at all. Lots of TVs, delicious food, great atmosphere

The BBQ is the worst i had in Tuscaloosa, AL! The pork is chopped up into little pieces and the bbq sauce is terrible. $12.99? HA! Never again...

Never had a polite experience with the cashiers. The attitude trickles down from the owner to all the staff. Food is pretty good though.

Bit into my bbq sandwich to find shards of bone that I guess got thrown in with the meat in the shredder. That happened twice.

Sadly as of April 27, 2011. This restaurant was completely destroyed in the tornado that hit Tuscaloosa.
