My husband and I are new to the area, and love to try new things, so when someone told us this was the best place to go for catfish we where excited. When we first got there we where blown away on how beautiful and setin it looked. We thought this is going to be great,. Our server was prompt and friendly bringing fried okra with her, we where disappointed to find no alcohol on the menu, not even beer or wine, we settled for soft drinks that tasted stale. We both ordered a combo plate, my husband ordered catfish and clams, and I had catfish and crab cake, beans and coleslaw. I cannot tell you enough how disappointed we found our food to be, we could not tell the taste form one thing or another it was all fried, fried ,fried, could not even taste the meat of the fish, no flavors what so ever. The only sauce we could get was a tarter sauce that was very bland, or some kind of red sauce that was similar to a thi chilli sauce but no spice or flavor, we could not finish eating, we did not see our server again until she slapped down our bill and ran away. The place is beautiful but thats the only good thing we can say. The disappointment we has was talked about even days after.

The atmosphere and location are great and I had expected great things as well! However the food is not very good in my opinion. I got the seafood platter. Its all fried and bland, not much flavor (except for the catfish itself, which was good). The price point was ultimately excessive for the food quality. The cocktail sauce had a unique flavor and texture that I did not like. The crab cakes were not very tasty, the flavor was not well melded together. The complimentary appetizer given to you is fried Okra which is a very strange selection in my opinion, as its an acquired taste. I had a bout of food poisoning around 10-12 the evening I had eaten here. I definitely would not recommend this place overall. Lots of potential, the food just sucks.

Good food for the price and portions. Portions were pretty large and they have complimentary fried okra rather than bread. Everything is lightly breaded and fried extremely well. Seasonings are pretty good too, but there wasnt really anything"light" to eat as a side. Basically, EVERYTHING is fried. Ill definitely return, but not anytime soon-i left too stuffed! Good isnt good reheated either, just the hush puppies, which are fantastic. Outside landscaping is also beautiful and in a very country like setting. Great southern hospitality as well. Vinegar coleslaw was on point, very tasty.

A family owned and operated restaurant with a southern ambiance that makes you feel at home. This is a favorite place for me to visit during Lent season and of course throughout the year. I am specially fond of their fried catfish fillet meal and seafood platter. One of the nice things servers do is to bring you fried okra while you are waiting for your meal. They have a large parking lot and a very welcoming waiting area in front of the restaurant. Certainly, this is a must visit if you live in Clarksville or happen to be traveling through the area.

The Catfish House is a great family restaurant! Atmosphere: 7/10 The atmosphere was enjoyable and the perfect sound level to be able to converse back and forth. The only thing I would add is a little more decore related to catfishing. Food: 8/10 The food tasted great! I had the Catfish Strips with fries and hushpuppies. All the food was cooked perfectly and tasted great! Staff: 9/10 The staff was extremely friendly and attentive to our needs. We were in a group of fifteen and all the orders were taken and served correctly and together.

We were visiting family and they took us here for dinner. We are from MS so we eat a lot of seafood. I was really impressed, I ordered the Seafood platter and it was delicious and could not get over how much food you get. I loved how the catfish was nice and crispy and not mushy. The fried okra was a pleasant surprise. And let me say that their sweet tea is the best I have ever drank!!! Also the staff was very nice and we never had to wait for a refill, the waitress was on it!!!!

I ordered a "3 fillet dinner" plus one fillet, which should have been four fillets of catfish. What they brough out was two fillets cut in half. I told the server I was unhappy about that, so she voluntarily brought over the manager. The manager made no attempt to do anything to make up for the fact that they served half as much food as advertised. I wont be back.

Warning! Do not go here if you have any seafood or shellfish allergies! They fry everything in the same grease! Everything! French fries, chicken, okra, catfish, shrimp, clams, etc. everything is fried in the same grease. Then, if you order a baked potato to replace the French fries so you wont die of anaphylaxis, they want to try to charge $1 extra. The food is ok.

This place was awesome. The atmosphere was great, and the people and service couldnt have been any better. You get alot of food for what you spend, and it is very delicious, couldnt have been happier with the service, everything was also very clean and just a welcoming place to relax and enjoy a good down hone Neal wether you are by yourself or with the family!

“Lunch was nice!” New to the area, we tried Blackhorse for lunch. Could have stayed all day......our service was attentive and accurate. Beer cheese was the best and sandwiches yummy. More beers to try than you can shake a stick at. Our server gal was great. Sorry for not remembering her name! Ambiance was relaxing. Nice job. Will be back for dinner and..

We went to eat with some friends at the Catfish House in Clarksville. The service was great and the portions were beyond huge. Both my wife and I had the 3 piece boneless catfish filet meals and were very stuffed. The fried okra and beans before the meal were fantastic. The Catfish House is a must go place for grear food and great service.

I love the catfish here, and the main issues I have with this place are the hours (which are understandable if youve visited the place at night) and the fact that theyve gotten rid of the all-you-can-eat catfish. Also DO NOT order any extra "jumbo" shrimp, as they are $2.15 PER SHRIMP and are more like over-estimated butterfly shrimp

I come here every time Im in town. Great food! Their fried okra is amazing! The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is great. The prices arent too bad either. Their steamed vegetables are great as well. Be careful about the directions on Google maps. The address is right but the driving directions will send you miles away.

My FAVORITE place to eat in Clarksville! The food is always prepared just right not scorching hot. Our server Brooke was so nice and showed genuine concern about how we were doing. Guess thats why this restaurant has a long standing reputation here, they care for their customers! Thanks to you all an outstanding meal again!!!!

the location has changed it has changed location, and has ultimately upscaled. Personal pictures are for personl use, but, and upscale resturant should present personal pictures of what they want or get presented more money for, or the biggest catfish, i caught, cleaned, filot, or ate, just my point of view.
